@finite void you either need to resign unc0ver and then rejailbreak with Disable Auto Updates turned off and RootFS on, or you need to restore your device with iTunes - not just update it

I could update to 13.7 over itunes, but not to 14
also, ota updates dont work at all, it just says unknown error
is it possible there are still traces of the jailbreak on my phone?

Well traces of the jailbreak wouldn't cause you to be able to go to one OS, but not the other.

The one key thing is to make sure your display is black after you do the button combo, and that iTunes has the Restore button.

reboot
