easiest method I've found to downgrading to 6 is having Linux either installed or on a live USB then using iOS-OTA-Downgrader

I’ve been here, it’s not good
took like 20 minutes of fiddling to get the connector in while also aligning the whole display assembly on the adhesive correctly… and in the end it didn’t even fix my home button issue
