Hey guys, I am a complete noob at jailbreaking. I want to jailbreak my Ipad 4 with ios 10.3.3, as far as I understand it I should be using helix for that. Thing is (once again) as far as i understand you have to resign/redownload the software after 7 days or the "license" for it expires. Is there someway to bypass this? Alternatively is there somewhere I can read to answer all my questions? I could not find an answer on the /r/jailbreak subreddit.

There was a tutorial on the now down [piracy repo] forums back in the day, with 4 methods, 2 of which I'd recommend: One is editing Configuration.plist in /System/Library/Frameworks.CoreGraphics.framework/Resources and change some values (MinimumVRAM to 32 instead of 16, TransitionEffectMinimumDepth to 16 instead of 32, others I can't remember)

If you're on A4, the other method is using the A5 graphics driver (IMGSGX543GLDriver) instead of the A4 one: Simply paste IMGSGX543GLDriver.bundle and delete the A4 IMGXXXXXX.bundle in /System/Library/Extensions, and reboot

Okay, so I just got a iPhone 3GS, and it won’t boot unless I plug it in to a charger. When I plug it in, it gives me the Connect to iTunes symbol, but when I disconnect the charger, it turns off. When I plug it in to the computer, I can put it into DFU mode, but it can’t change into recovery mode. How do I fix this?

I can't install any IPA on an iPad 3 running iOS 9.3.6 with the Phoenix jailbreak and AppSync Unified. Dragging into iTunes doesn't work, appinst doesn't work, and AltServer patched with AltServerPatcher crashes. @cobalt jetty on Windows, use iFaith and someone else’s blobs to make a signed IPSW, and then restore with that. iTunes will give you an error, but you’ll be able to boot with redsn0w’s “Just Boot” option. You’ll need to jailbreak with redsn0w and install the tweak [[Insomnia]], in order to prevent your device from shutting down whenever you turn off the screen (lock it). This will waste a ton of battery

Alternately, you can use geekgrade IPSWs, if you can find them. They will let you use your device as normal, no battery drain. It’ll just be tethered

I don’t think linking geekgrade is allowed here, because of copyright violations, but you should be able to find them by searching on /r/LegacyJailbreak subreddit

I have a jailbroken iPhone 5 that I want to restore to factory settings. I tried doing this with Cydia Eraser, but it failed. Now I want to try doing that through iTunes (Summary → Restore iPhone), but wanted to ask here just to make sure beforehand, to not accidentally brick the phone.
So the question: would restoring a jailbroken iPhone 5 (iOS 8.1.2) through iTunes (disable iCLoud → "Find My Phone", then: iTunes → Summary → Restore iPhone) work, or will it be risky and so I should try some other methods?

If you care about using iOS 8.1.2, dump your SHSH blobs with Odysseus first, so you can use Odysseus to restore to 8.1.2: https://dayt0n.com/articles/Odysseus/
