I mean, how it is being generated. We need info about it, because there is an issue with logging in Apple ID account in iTunes Store/App Store on iOS 5.1.1 since spring 2025. After researchers, it was discovered that iOS 5 and below iTunes Store clients were using GET method to log in, and starting from iOS 6, it started using POST method to log in. And in spring 2025 Apple killed GET api, so it is not possible to log in iTunes Store/App Store unless you convert GET request to POST using proxy, but the thing is that it requires X-Apple-ActionSitnature, that iOS 5 and below clients were not generating. So now as we can see the only way to fix it is too convert GET request to POST and try to “teach” iOS 5 generate that signature, or something like that.

Modern antiviruses or browsers will detect applications like TrollInstallerX or Dopamine as viruses/malware. They are only flagged due to the exploits used to install TrollStore or jailbreak.

Temporarily disable your antivirus if it is flagging the files needed for installing TrollStore and/or jailbreaking. It may also intervene with the sideloading process

To keep the file in Chrome, you can press the 3 dots in the menu bar then press downloads or navigate to chrome://downloads, press the 3 dots on that file, "Keep dangerous Download" twice.

For Windows Defender, disabling real-time protection should be sufficient.

You should re-enable it after you jailbreak your phone.

Does anyone have experience syncing Jailbroken iPhones with iTunes? Back in the day when I used to jailbreak I don't remember it being a problem. But I have an iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1.3 that I restored and jailbroke using Legacy iOS Kit. It works great but when I try to sync it with itunes, the sync works but iTunes fails to create a backup and gives an error. For now I just disabled backing up. But it would be nice to get the backup to work. To troubleshoot, I completely restored the iPhone so it was erased and jailbroken but I did not even open Cydia and it still failed to backup. I'm assuming its because of how the partitions are changed during jailbreak. But I was wondering if this is just sort of an inevitable thing with no work around. This is a whole legacy device setup so the Mac OS X 10.5.8 running iTunes 10.6.3 and iPhone 4S running iOS 6.1.3. Thanks!

my experiences have been succesfful, especially with older iTunes versions. the windows one on the cfw guide proveds allows for making backups sucessfuly in my case

I also wiped and restored and rejailbroke, so i dont think its the partitions - however filza showed remnants of old jb files i left there so that partition just isnt seen. Its sde01/1 or something and is taken away and reserved by the jb if i recall (hence the low storage lie alert)

there's tweaks that let you back up locally, to dropbox, etc too!

Tried on iOS and iPhone exactly like yours (newest iTunes on windows, not logged into anything) and local backup worked fine.

Try searching backup and restore in cydia, one of them claims to do what you are asking.

One idea is to use ftp with filza to backup entire data sections of applications and then their plists in the jb partition but that can be tike consuming. Sorry 🙁

Definitely rejailbreak though and look for app backup tweaks. Sorry if im misunderstanding!

The other thing I could do is plug it into my modern Mac and see if a modern version can back it up. If so, it might be due to super old itunes version. I don't really want to restore the iPhone and not jailbreak it because I am afraid I will never be able to jailbreak it again because these iPhone 4S need pwndfu.

shiiiit… I plugged in my iPod touch 4g yesterday after a long time (like a year maybe) and it worked for a bit but randomly suddenly crashed… and now it’s been stuck in a boot loop ever since… it shows Apple logo, then flashed a white screen and goes black, after which the Apple logo comes back ad infinitum…

I agree this happens most of the time when it can’t get to the process of whatever jailbreak you’re using and then trust too much power and dies. It makes its own special little partition, which is always why you get that almost full storage thingy.

And on an old iPhone, that’s like a lot of ram and power baby
