I was on Linux, but I switched to miy Windows 11 install. Followed the guide on ios cfw guide to get the correct version of iTunes and set p0sixspwn to compatability mode for XP SP3. Everything looked like it went fine, but was stuck on that step for over 10 minutes.

Windows 11 breaks old jailbreak apps, but you have Linux, you can use Legacy-iOS-Kit to jailbreak
make sure to be in DFU before running it for a fresh install of 6.1.6

WTF legacy kit, not accepting my root password. I know I'm typing it right.
It was odd, my root password was working on other things before I tried this, then tried it, failed twice, didn't want to lock myself out, tried again in my package manager and it locked me out. Waited a while, but it still said the timeout wasn't reached, which was odd because I waited and hor and the timeout was 5 minutes. Rebooted and now it worked.

for some reason it is next to impossible to get tweaks to work correctly
I just need basic stuff like openSSH, going to be using the device remotely with a custom tweak
but I cannot even get OpenSSH to function, it installs but does not do anything. Anything that adds preferences does not show up either, so I feel like something critical is missing
(I'm using the Socket jailbreak as recommended by cfw.guide)
