Hello I just got my iPhone 3GS I won in a auction, I can't get it to activate because it's probably vendor locked
so I tried to jailbreak it with both p0sixpwn and redsn0w (it's on iOS 6.1.6) and both fail I don't know what to do now.

I just installed redsn0w 0.9.15b3. Clicked Extras, Select IPSW and select the 6.1.6 IPSW, and depending on the model of 3GS you'd select Yes or No.

When you go back and click Jailbreak, try selecting Install Cydia and theInstall iPad baseband options and continue with the Jailbreak

Idk if Cydia even works anymore, but you'd use ultrasn0w to unlock it

In redsn0w you'd want to select the iOS 6 IPSW and repeat the jailbreak to downgrade the baseband

I'm trying to use futurerestore to downgrade to 6.1.3 using SHSH blobs I had for my device.. the ECID in the name of the blobs matches the ECID for my device, but futurerestore is saying my devices ECID is something else

Looked it up, apparently this drm is to make sure He3lix gets sideloaded to the device through Cydia Impactor (which has been deprecated for a while unless paid developer account iirc) else UIcache will always fail... no idea why it was done in such a way at the time other than to fight back fake, slightly altered or straight up malicious .ipas posing as clean h3lix .ipas.
One would have to either buy a developer account and use Impactor or patch the .ipa to bypass this limitation.

No reason to go through that if kok3shix will work fine and run stable.

Download iBackup Bot on your PC and make a backup of the iPhone with all the profiles, then go into the backup using iBackup Bot and remove the profile files, then restore that new modified backup back onto your iPhone and they will be gone

(this won’t work if you’re trying to remove profiles put on there by an organization, you should ask the organization to remove them if that’s the case)

To block OTA updates, you can install a modified tvOS beta profile. This works even without a jailbreak. Note that the profile expires and will stop blocking updates on <t:1706677200:D> (<t:1706677200:R>). Check back after that date for a new profile.

You can re-enable updates by uninstalling this profile in Settings -> General -> Profiles & Device Management.

If you're jailbroken, you can also install the OTADisabler tweak instead, but note that it is harder to remove while unjailbroken.

the last compatible version is unfixable. Instead, install the last compatible version and then dowgrade to version 10.11.11546 using App Admin, then modify the info.plist file to version 17.13.3 and then install VerduraiOS which replaces broken features like search with a working search. Now you have a working youtube app on iOS 9.3.5
