the elements are just rendered once

they are just containers

it doesn't matter how many containers you got in a widget

if the containers reload again and again

that drains the battery

however some people tend to reload the entire widget when a music plays

thats upto how a person made the music playing script

for example my lumia widget has to reload all the tiles to show the music

its something I don't really like

but it was the only way to do it

that drains the battery a bit

only because the entire tile system I made is being reloaded

however if a coder makes it into a separate entity it wont matter

the weather also reloads the weather part of the widget for example

some people also reload the entire widget either cz of lazyness or because they have no choice for the weather

so in the end

the javascript drains battery

and the way it is coded

thats why matt made this Battery management module in xen html

where if you put it at high

and the homescreen is not opened

the widget is completely unloaded

like closing a tab from the browser

again there is a caveat

if you open the homescreen alot, the widget will load again
