<@&642127985247256576> Apple has finally patched the KFD landa kernel exploit, meaning that Dopamine and TrollInstallerX no longer work on iOS/iPadOS 15.8.7.

This means that there is no semi-untethered jailbreak for iOS/iPadOS 15.8.7. DO NOT update to this version if you wish to continue using Dopamine.

You are still able to jailbreak with palera1n. Additionally, TrollStore will still work. The CoreTrust bug still remains unpatched, you just have to install it via TrollRestore now.

FYI we plan to do a tvOS #unc0ver prerelease soon so people don’t get stuck. It won’t be as well tested as the iOS release but revert rootfs is well tested so any problems should not be fatal and it will allow everybody to upgrade during the upgrade window.

please install "safetynet" on your appletv ESPECIALLY if you are on a 4K. that should hopefully help you prevent a bootloop. we're still investigating why this is happening. for now id hold off if you have a 4K OR if already jailbroken - revert your root fs and just wait.

@everyone iOS 14 is starting to roll out

If you care about jailbreaking, DO NOT UPDATE.

If you have a checkra1n compatible device (A11 and lower), you should wait until a checkra1n update is released that works on iOS 14. Currently, checkra1n works up to iOS 13.7 but is broken on iOS 14.

If you have an A12 device or newer, you definitely should not update until an iOS 14 jailbreak is out for those devices

We have seen screenshots and tweets from members of the checkra1n team confirming they are working hard on updating checkra1n so please don't ask for an ETA.

Additionally, once checkra1n is released for iOS 14, there is a good chance that a lot of tweaks won't work out of the box, many will require an update.

All the above applies to iPadOS 14 and tvOS 14.

From what I understand, watchOS 7 requires your phone to be on iOS 14, so you shouldn't update that either.

If you are buying the Apple Watch S6 or SE, it will come with watchOS 7 so you will be forced to update to iOS 14.

DON'T FORGET TO SAVE BLOBS!

Additionally we added a checkbox to disable BPR checks on A11. This is not recommended and your device won’t boot with a passcode, but it’s there.

#

To sumarize: All A8, A9, A10, A11 on iOS/tvOS 14 are now supported up to 14.2

However, A11 devices wont boot with a passcode. So up to you if you want to take that risk.
No passcode = no Apple Pay, no FaceID/TouchID

#

For those of you on A10/A11, you may want to consider updating to 14.1 instead of 14.2 - hopefully we will get a semi-untethered in the future

Improves exploit reliability on 13.0 - 13.7 for all A10 and up devices.
A8(X)/A9(X) devices now default to the tardy0n exploit (13.0 - 13.5 only)
Issues were fixed with exploit reliability on A10 iPads.

<@&642127985247256576> checkra1n for iOS/iPadOS 14.3 does not work on A10 devices apparently. Rest of devices work fine (that are normally supported). Also checkra1n works on tvOS 14.3

checkra1n is confirmed to also work on iOS 12.5
