Hey guys, need some advice.

I bought a water damaged MacBook Air M1 (A2337) and eventually got it to boot, but it's stuck on recovery asking for iCloud or a passcode. The seller didn't reply at first, so I tried random passcodes and maxed out the attempts.

But yesterday he finally replied and said that he only remembers the passcode cause it was the last digits of his phone number, but the Mac says that method is no longer available due to too many tries.

Is there any way to reset the attempt limit, or am I stuck?
