Actually, your ethernet is measured in megabits, and your ssd is measured in megabytes. 1 gig ethernet only does 128 meg/sec, so you could easily do 2.5 gigs, owo. Ten years ago, I was regurarly saturating gigabit ethernet while all systems were running mechanical drives.

Samsung 850 Evo has a firmware bug where it reads slower and slower as data ages. They tried to patch this but failed. The solution, short of replacing hardware, is to re-write everything on the drive every 6-12 months. I boot Linux, dd everything off to another drive, then dd stuff back, owo.

I let one of mine go for three years once, got down to 5 megabytes/sec on sequential read. dd'd it, boom, back up to 400 meg/sec-ish.

League of Legends can be best captured with two scenes:

In the first scene "Lobby", add a Window Capture source and select the League Client/Lobby application.
In the second scene "In-Game", add a Game Capture source and select the League In-Game application. To do this the first time, you must be in an active game session (Training Mode works fine for this).

So I was on here the other night getting advice about putting a computer together. I got it put together, first computer and it wasn't working. So I had to take it into a computer shop and the guy ran through the diagnostic and it turns out that the graphics card doesn't work. He switched it with the another graphic card and it started right up and worked fine. So I ordered a new one off Newegg but I was just curious because I have this other graphics card. No. No I'm just going to put the new graphics card in it and put it to use. Even after paying my friend to put it together and buying the graphics card I still got it for cheaper than buying a brand new one and most of the parts in it are middle to high end parts.

Like I said once my friend switched out to graphics card it started right up he downloaded Windows 10 and played on it for a minute to make sure everything is it was in good working condition.

You need to update your AMD video driver. You have 2 ways you can do this:

2. Update by selecting your specific video card type at this link: https://www.amd.com/en/support

Always reboot your PC once your drivers are updated, even if you are not prompted to.

well, obviously there's something going on... maybe the OS asks the GPU every time the screen refreshes.. even if nothing at all actually changes on the screen

I think the GPU usage is basically zero... but the card I think puts the cores into a power save state when nothing at all is happening... so it's probably having to exit that more frequently

no, the card is clocked all the way down and GPU usage is 0 to 1%... yet wattage goes from 15 to 11 when I change screen refresh from 120 to 24 and both with nothing moving on the screen at all

but I know the card has essentially C-states and I guess it can't enter as deep of a state/for as long if the OS keeps asking the card for a screen refresh... even if nothing actually changes
that's my only guess on what is happening

GPU effective clock in HWiNFO goes from about 80 to 50 with 120hz versus 24 so yeah... cores aren't in a sleep state for as long... only logical explanation is when screen refresh is set to 120, the OS asks the GPU 120 times a second to refresh the screen.. or something like that... idk
