first of all, most of the stuff on there is garbage
either grainy/horrible flashing everywhere/posterization
barely anyone uploads an h.264 to the site

secondly, 8mb limit (really...?) and they need to run it through this "review process" before you can use
and 30 fps cap...
it can easily take a day or two until what you upload can even be posted
and that's IF it gets approved...

also not nearly as strict.. you want a 3 minute mp4? you can have it

the only reason I can think of it being so insanely low is to discourage people to upload something really crazy

Tenor's issue is they also include gif versions.. and.. I don't think they want the mp4 being 60 fps while gif is 30 :/

Which, if true, rules out any encoding settings. Then you probably didn't know that XRGB on a capture card costs a lot more CPU time than NV12, MJPEG or YUY2. That's why my first step was !newsc and not !local or !simple.

Like when you move a window to a monitor with a higher resolution but as it get about halfway it increases the size of the window, which now means that your mouse cursor is up agains the edge of the first monitor and it instead tiles the window horizontally

Dual booting is a nightmare because switching between operating systems isn't seamless. The only reason I'd do it is if the security implications of using unpatched windows 10 got to a point where I no longer felt the other mitigations in place were no longer sufficient. Some photoshop projects can take hours or days with me working on them, doing something else, coming back to them. I use my computer for a bunch of different things and I generally keep various projects or things open when I'm working on them. Sometimes this will look like:

Photoshop for 30 minutes
Watch a show, watch youtube for an hour
Continue photoshop 10 minutes,
Launch a game: 1-2 hours

It probably would be possible to run a hypervisor on top of everything and quickly switch between operating systems but I don't want to sacrifice the performance and gaming in a VM isn't ideal.

It's not based on discrepancy in DPI, it's a discrepancy in resolution. You can alter how the monitors line up, of course, but the top and bottom of the monitors will never line up, both ways.

so if your cursor is at, say, 75% down the height of the screen, and you move the cursor over to the 4K screen, it will also be at that same 75% y position

whereas Windows is like "well your cursor was on y coordinate 810px, so on the 4K screen it will also be at 810px, even though the monitor is actually 2x that height

I’m trying to create a character that speaks back to me while I stream. While I play football, I want to be able to confer with “Coach Broly” and ask for advice or plays, or ask his emotion and reaction to things that happen in-game. I’m thinking it might be a three-step process: create/train an AI to football coaching with explosive emotions, have it type into Twitch chat, and then that text is read by a voice app.

Does anyone have any experience in this, and know a way to do it with free tools out there? Or even where to look?

DougDoug on YouTube seems to be able to stream a D&D game with three AI characters that respond to him, and I’m trying to replicate that to some extent.

All that is needed is local LLM software that has text to speech and speech to text capability built in, and an AI model that works for role play/character play. Depending on the app, you just configure the System Prompt to tell the LLM who it is, what its personality is, and how it should respond to the user, or if the app has character definitions, you just define a character with that with the properties you want. There is no need to train an AI. You may have to try a few apps until you find one with the properties to do what you want, and experiment with voice options.

The other option is to use any LLM software that exposes an OpenAI compatible API endpoint, and write some python code (with AI helping if necessary) to do TTS/STT etc.

One word of caution... if live streaming with it, I would recommend avoiding "uncensored" and "abliterated" models, as they can say anything at any time potentially, including violating platform TOS.

One additional note: Your GPU needs to have enough VRAM to fully handle whatever games you're playing, plus the AI model and context, and the voice model, or use 2 video cards, or 2 computers.

It is possible to run fairly small models like 3b-4b that will do the job though.

Good LLM apps have a built in model search/recommendation feature, and built in download, however it is possible to go to the HuggingFace website and find models and configure the website for the software you're using, and it has download options for each app then, so it can kind of integrate

Might want to watch some beginner tutorials on YT for playing around with LLMs in general to understand the model names, file names, other common specifications (parameter size, quant type and size, etc.)

It can be a bit overwhelming, but 99% of the technobabble can be ignored, just gotta learn like 10 things and you're good. 🙂

The game is on my PS five, and using a PCIE HDMI converter, so the game itself is not taking up any ram. Just the processing of the image and audio.

So it looks like the order of operations will be setting up the AI Chatbot for chat interaction, creating the AI model for the Coach persona, and then the text to speech for Brody‘s voice. I’m thinking streamer.bot, Gemini API, and eleven labs.

Sometimes LLMs hallucinate python modules that don't exist, or they make typoes of module names. Gotta be careful because for some common typo module names, scammers have made malicious modules with malware in them so people or LLMs that make typos for a module get their malware instead. Always validate the authenticity of python module names before installing or using them.
