It's a TV connected to a receiver using an optical cable. It was actually working last night but now its not. I switched the HDMI cables but that shouldn't affect it surely. Maybe it is the cable Idk

I had this issue the other day:

I hooked my windows 10 pc up to my receiver via an optical cable. Set dolby digital as the output format in the audio settings for the optical audio interface in Windows. When I play a video that has 5.1 audio in the films and TV app dolby digital comes up on the front of the receiver and surround sound seems to work as expected. When I try playing the video in MPC-HC dolby digital goes away on the receiver, the option avaliable on the receiver is "direct" and the audio is only two channels front left and right.

It does the same with HDMI to the TV and then Optical to the receiver

So it analyses the audio and creates a file with a fingerprint of the audio and then it can use that to be more accurate

Icon Profiles.

Having 4 different sized monitors in different placements relative to another makes keeping track of arrangement when using fewer monitors.

HEVC is available for the closed beta of TEB, when using a 1440p canvas.
AV1 has been shown working but only by dev testers.
No ETA on when (or if) either of them will be available to a wider base

in the case of HEVC a good roadblock rn is that they need to fix clipping with it, but that's possibly not the only roadblock

this is crazy, I'm getting better results downscaling to 360p and then upscaling to 720p than 720p to 1440p back down to 720p
I'm just using it for denoising, upscaling is forced, afaik
it seems it's removing compression blur and restoring that detail.. but also, greatly destroying small detail

all scaled to same size for better comparison, but the frame I'm feeding it is slightly higher resolution than the one shown here

the legion go has been out for a while too, btw. So if you're going for max spec at all costs as ya would have to want to in order to consider sth over a deck then that wouldn't be your choice anyway.

Meanwhile the deck is the reliable companion that just works. Sure, might not be the flashiest spec anymore... but can be acquired for less, the trackpads and inputs as a whole are excellent, screen on the oled is like still superb even tho might not be highest res, and you can push out battery life a lot esp with less demanding titles

I realise hardly anyone uses the Twitch VOD reupload feature, but I do... at what point should I give up on a video that's stuck in "processing" forever post-upload?

I upload raw VODs since Twitch doesn't have a size limit, just an hours limit of 100 😄 All I do beforehand is remux MKV -> MP4 (Twitch doesn't accept the MKV container), I let Twitch itself handle everything else. I guess that's why processing takes so long. It's only 2.5 GB though, I would've thought it wouldn't take this long 🤔

Anyway I was googling for images on correct keyboard and mouse placement for work. As a legendary gamer, I have always had my keyboard a bit to the left, so there's good space for the mouse. I'm guessing I need to be typing head-on at my screen? But that means that my mouse is far off the right. Is this normal for an office setup?
