I want software that I can manually remove frames I don't want
Like, some of the frames only the hair moves and not the rest of the model, causing stutters
The software I use has an automatic detection based on percentage of change in the image from frame to frame, but I can't manually remove certain frames
It's just too for me to figure out how to do that..

I mean if you're going to yeet frames without there being any regularity to it (like, remove every nth frame), your timing is always going to be unfixably off

It's definitely possible, as again, the program I use will do this based on percentage of change in frame and determine if it's a duplicate
But even it will duplicate back the frames afterward, to fit in the frame rate.. so maybe this is a little more complicated/more steps involved

I think it removes the frames and then interpolates and then duplicates those back in afterward.. hmm

well yeah I know about things like ffmpeg's decimate filter, which retimes the frames to match but that is intended to remove duplicate frames because of frame rate conversions so it basically figures out "out of these 5 frames, which one is a dupe so I turn 30 fps back into 24 fps"

(and then repeats that process for every 5 frames of the input)

Like if there's duplicate frames, it won't interpolate well and have skips.. it confuses the interpolator
So it removes them (0.5%, 1%, etc. of change in frame you can set detection to) and then interpolates and then I think duplicates them back into the frame rate you set
Again, maybe this is doable but just.. meh..

It would just be nice to have the option to manually select which frames to discard, and not have it be all automatic.. as that just doesn't always work (like in this case)
I could... try cutting the thing into multiple parts and then merge back together..

it seems that i had installed three plugins one spout 2 music playlist

and i had the twitch bitrate too high

with a lower bitrate

and i changed my logo

and i had to lower my capture card to a lower resolution and 720 p is still the resolution

and i basically did not know obs had virtual camera feature

so i am using vtuber a different way now

This was something I discovered this weekend when my dad asked for help optmizing the quality of his recordings.

The app provides 6 codecs to choose from. 2 of them fail to start recording because of "too many colours", one of them doesn't play in modern media players because it's unsupported, one of them has no configuration options, and the remaining 2 are terrible quality.

I don't think the functionality has been touched since 2000 at the latest. Most of the codecs are from the mid-90s. And this is an application that is subscription-based, for large companies.

Does anyone have a reccomndation for a CD player new or used that has both an optical output and does Gapless playback that isn't super expensive? I've been looking into it and shockingly loads of newer cd players don't support galleys playback because they're made ro cur costs as much as possible or by people who don't know what they're doing. There's a new one called the Tangen CD II for £180 and it doesn't do gapless playback which is disgusting.

I have nothing against digital media fwiw because I use spotify extensively. For the media I really like is where I want to get physical copies. I'm gonna get a turntable for records eventually but I don't currently have the space.

Also buying new vinyl releases is mostly pointless imo because usually its just the CD master with the dynamic range limited these days. So it has much less appeal to me unless I start a vintage vinyl collection.

I need help, roxio game capture HD pro won't show preview. I see that it can be seen in OBS but wont activate. Anyone else have a solution or at least having the same problem? I'm speedrunning using a CRT and I use YPbPr to capture. It can see the YPbPr but I'm having problems looking for ways around it. Is there a custom driver or program I can use? Thanks.
