As someone who has had times where my system of the day was way above the average, and Internet as well, and at other times was wayyyy below the average with very little free space (like right freakin now), I can say that it does suck if you want to install a game or update a game and don't have enough free disk space to do it. My friends bug me about that a lot when I'm in computer hell like now. ๐
But, I really see it as a consumer problem not a game development problem. It boils down to "manage your computer better, free up space, buy upgrades, get better Internet, and empower yourself to have better situation" IMHO, and that includes me. The reason why it sucks is because I haven't bothered to do what it takes for the situation to not be inconvenient for me, and I take ownership of that, it's on me.
The alternative is blaming it on game companies and complaining, expecting them to do something about it when there is no incentive for them to ever do anything about it. Games will just continue to evolve and get bigger over time as they always have, and as tech improves. Those of us who avoid upgrading or who can't upgrade or have some circumstance we're stuck with for a while for whatever reason just have to bite our lower lip and deal with the suck for a while at the end of the day.
Personally even though I'm affected by the problem right now, and on and off over time, I welcome our future 500GB games with 300GB patches with open arms.
I think for people who don't like that, they can always stick to retro games or games that focus on "gameplay" with 1997 style graphics or whatever to fit within their tech budget. ๐
It kind of excites me the idea of the first video game to hit 1TB in size. I wonder what it will be.

There's a lot without, yeah. Miserable stuff. Our local power company moved some lines underground and have done aggressive tree management in the last couple of years (after we had a six day outage in winter) and I really think their work has paid off.
But we have gotten 3 inches of rain in two days on very steep hillsides covered in giant evergreens. Management can't prevent those coming down if they're gonna.
It's kinda dumb how my brain operates, I am as well prepared as I can be. I could do not just 6 days, but six weeks without power, never going anywhere, and survive fairly comfortably. But my lizard brain refuses to acknowledge that and allow my blood pressure to lower.

Iโll know more today when i stream. The AMD app is garbage to navigate through, and is incredibly slow for some reason. They also rearranged a bunch of stuff recently, and I have to disable ActiveSync on a per game basis now. I heard that at some point, if you started streaming at under 10 Mbps but then raised your streaming bit rate to 10-15, you could continue streaming and get a 10-15 Mbps stream and VOD. The live stream would remain available only to those who started watching before the increase. This has since been fixed, though.

Good. Bought the pair of Edifier Stax Spirit S5 to use as wireless cans, and they sound pretty great. Definitely a different sound profile to standard drivers.

first time in my life i actually started learning some stuff about audio cos my headphones broke after years, their sound has been engrained into my brain and everything else sounds wrong , but equaliser can fix that, best thing i ever learned about audio was using the equalizer better, equalizer apo.

ya gotta plug in everything, the USB is just for the digitizer/pen input (and the buttons, of course), that cable got a type c on the tablet end and hdmi+2 usb plugs on the other most likely (with one of the usb being the input stuffs one and the other being supplimental power)

but now that you mention the steamdeck... another thing you could try would be to test that usb-c dock thingie with the laptop, cause yeah that laptop should have a type c port that supports display output

There's something else: at some point, Youtube kept the original video file you uploaded to them, and sometimes retroactively created higher-quality encodes. I've seen some video game videos at 60 FPS, that predate Youtube supporting 60 FPS (supports as of 2014 or maybe 2013, uploaded in 2011). I heard they don't keep the original videos anymore, though.
