Apologize if I'm making assumptions. I just don't get how to solve this...
I need to stream and record while streaming. If I base canva 3440x1440 and output at 1920x1080 for twitch will it be ok for youtube or will I be cut off at any point in this cycle?
I was under the impression I'd have to tone down the UW's reso to 1920x1080 in order to make this work

and "Shutdown" on modern operating systems just means "Sleep".

If you have a canvas that is 21:9 and you set the output resolution to 16:9 it won't crop anything. It will just squish it horizontally to fit.
If you want to properly capture ultra wide content and fit it into a non ultra wide aspect ratio, set your Base canvas and output to the 16:9 resolution then either fit or crop the content itself inside the OBS scene preview. If you crop it will fill the whole scene, if you fit it will have black bars and you can fill those black bar spaces with other stuff like overlays

cunning pine
#

Depending on the game, you may be able to do the crop option. If the game you are playing has the ability to let you adjust where on the screen the HUD is, and you can push the HUD more to the center of the screen to where would be if it was a 16:9 image, then you can just do that capture an OBS and crop off the sides and then it looks normal to your viewer

reef garnet
cunning pine
#

In my personal opinion, ditching ultra wide for normal 16:9 aspect ratio when gaming in general is better. While ultra-wide is cool and gives you all this extra viewability it becomes an absolute nightmare when trying to make content with it. For me personally my ultra wide monitor is just my secondary monitor that sits above my main one and I use it for putting things like OBS and web browsers in music players and stuff onto while I'm gaming

reef garnet
#

One last thing before I stop annoying you guys - just out of curiosity...
If I set the game itself to 1920x1080 resolution, keep the base canva at full 3440 on OBS, is there a way in OBS to capture and stream only the 1920x1080 game adding a source that only captures the game window?
THat way I could fill the left over space in the UW with other stuff

#

I'm gonna go ahead and risk that there's a fatal flaw in this logic πŸ˜„

full fern
# reef garnet I stream Diablo4, it has all kinds of settings, just thought of this to not wast...

If you wanted to run a game at 1920x1080, then fill in the rest of your UW canvas, you can of course. Just seems like it is extra effort.

If you do want tl do that some of the time, you can make a new Profile from the menu at the top of OBS. Profiles save different configurations of settings, so in that new profile, you can make canvas and output a 16:9 resolution and have the game fill it up.

A second Scene Collection (also a menu) can be made which saves different collections of scenes and sources. So you could switch back and forth for different resolution streams and recordings with a few clicks.

Man... I've had pinkeye for like 5 days now and it freakin sucks. Mind you, I've had it full blown twice when I was younger and it was insane terrible, and I've had the first signs of it maybe a half dozen times since but took measures to prevent it. But this time it got me. :/ Rinsing my eyes with saline is keeping it from getting worse and reducing the itching to minimum, so it goes from feeling like it is close to gone to saying "no I'm still here!" on and off. Eyes haven't been red for a few days but it's still there. Grrr. I wouldn't wish pinkeye on my worst enemies or war criminals.

silver fable

I had a capillary in my eye burst. I now have a permanent spot, directly in my vision, that will never go away.

copper notch
# silver fable Someone bareass fart on your pillow?

Hahaha. No, I can't know for certain the cause, but I have a black sleep mask for blocking out light to sleep, and I hadn't worn it for a while but needed to sleep when the light was coming in the window so I started using it in the last few weeks, and I've had it for a few years using it on and off and never cleaned the thing, so I suspect it just got germed up and caused an eye infection. I had never thought about cleaning it, thinking of it more like a wristwatch or similar than a piece of clothing that you need to wash. But now I realize that is the probable cause I'm going to clean the thing regularly.

copper notch

That is what I would normally do however we are in a health system crisis in Canada now and it is impossible to see a doctor. 6 month waiting list to get in to see my doctor. Walkin clinics have long waiting lists and are not walkin anymore, and just refer you to a doctor or specialist with 6-12 month waiting lists, and emergency at the hospital is overbooked with people stacked in hallways, and 20+ hour waiting times for minor issues. It's a nightmare here. Our wonderful healthcare system of years ago has completely fallen apart.

livid plover
#

what the hell

#

stop taking notes from your neighbours down south

silver fable
#

What? I can walk into a convenient care clinic tomorrow.

copper notch
#

Pinkeye will go away on its own over a few days to weeks, so long as you don't scratch it. The eye drops only soothe it, and the drug treatments only work if it is caused by bacterial infection. If it is viral or caused by other things the eye drops don't do anything.

tall vapor
sudden adder
silver fable
#

Can say that about anywhere. LOL

copper notch
#

We have online virtual clinics too. I called them and they said they couldn't do anything for issues lately and to either book a doctor appointment (6 months) or go to emerg. If you go to emerg without a heart attack or life threatening issue you are deprioritized to the end of the list, and stay there until all other more important issues are dealt with. If any new patients come into emerge even hours after you were admitted, and they have a more important issue, you wait even longer. Average wait time here is like 12-20 hours for non-critical issues, sometimes even more than 24 hours.

silver fable
#

I just go to the grocery store.

copper notch
#

24 hours, they do not bring you food or drink or anything unless you ask for it, and you get almost no attention. They can't wait to get you out of there ASAP once they do see you, and if they test you for things and it is not serious they tell you you have to go see your doctor, which... is 6 months.

#

So if you have a health issue that is not an absolute emergency, but is important to get it dealt with in less than 6 months, then your only option is Dr. YouTube unless you live somewhere that isn't as friggen terrible as it is where i live.

silver fable
#

but... You have Tim Hortons!!!

#

and poutine.

copper notch
#

The problem varies in severity across Canada. It is terrible pretty much everywhere, but varying degrees of terribleness. Where I live is beyond crisis point.

copper notch
#

YouTube has kept me alive for the last several years fortunately.

silver fable
#

or... unfortunately, depending on if they like you, or not.

#

I, however, am heading to bed. I think next week I might recover my windows. Maybe... That, or bring the portable AC back to my room so I can melt less.

copper notch
#

Waiting list to get a doctor here if you don't have one is 2.5 years right now, and if you do have one, 6 months to see them.

tall vapor
copper notch
#

Doctors say they are overburdened and underpaid for the long hours they're being forced to work and 40-60% say they will retire in the next 2 years also.

#

Lots of people are going to die, there's no way around it. Sucks but it is what it is.

#

People go to the emerg with serious life threatening symptoms which if they had been checked out when they got there, they could have done something to save their life, but they're left in a room for hours and have a heart attack or stroke and die, because their symptoms did not seem as bad at the moment of assessment than someone else.

#

When I was a teenager you could go to emerg at the hospital with a sliver in your finger, wait 5 minutes and they remove the sliver and you're done.

#

now you go there with blood shooting out of your neck and wait 12 hours and die on the floor

tall vapor
#

the UK be falling apart in that regard too, afaik. Whelp, that's what happens ig when yer healthcare sys be dependent on folk from lower income EU countries and then you do the progamer move that's referred to as brexit

copper notch

tall vapor

#

that's weird

#

somethin somethin pool them resources πŸ˜…

copper notch
#

I read a lot of articles lately about our healthcare crisis and the underlying problems that need to be solved. It's quite a mess. One of the problems is the amount of beurocratic forms doctors have to fill out most of which have duplicated data they have to input by hand, and they have to do it themselves, not the nurse or receptionist or whatever. It eats up a large amount of their time with administrative overhead that can account apparently for up to 40% of their time which is just insane.

tall vapor
copper notch
#

Another problem is that when doctors refer people to specialists, they are someone they know and use as the specialist for X, Y or Z, but they have no idea what that person's schedule is like or waiting time. There could be some other qualified specialist available that your doctor doesn't even know exists and it is a more or less word of mouth "know ya" system. So people end up waiting way longer for access to specialists than necessary as there is no centralized system keeping track of it all. They want to change that however. They say it will reduce waiting times for specialists down to 1/2 or 1/3.

tall vapor
copper notch
#

Here where I live we have very few specialists, so you not only have to wait a long time, but for an out of town specialist to come to town briefly.

#

There were a whole bunch of other archaic problems where the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing too but it was hard to pack all in my head.

tall vapor
#

We've got many such issues too still, sure

#

but like

copper notch
#

The take home from reading like 50 articles was "holy shit, this is f'd... time to get healthy and stay healthy"

tall vapor
#

what

tall vapor
copper notch
#

I do think that the whole system will improve massively over time though, and not just in Canada but everywhere. I just think it's going to get worse for 3-5 years or more first, before it improves.

tall vapor
copper notch
#

A combination of better organization and methodology, procedures, reducing overhead and red tape, combined with technological innovations will be a big part of improvements in the future. But also people are having greater access to health information and making better choices for themselves too. In 10-15 years I think it will be a brighter picture.

Nowadays I spend a good chunk of my time with a new hobby, learning as much as possible about nutrition, one nutrient at a time, going wild on science studies, etc.

There is soooo much information out there, but I learned you can't just watch one video or read one article or whatever as there is so much contradictory informatioon too. It takes a lot of work to dig down to the science.

Hope in 10 years this gets sorted out and organized. Or perhaps AI will do it for us. πŸ™‚

What annoys me is having my system set to always use dark mode, and some programs auto configure themselves to default to your system which is nice, but others do not default to system or even support dark mode at all. Particularly annoying when the OS provides a dark mode but also provides various applications and tools that do not implement or honour dark mode.

which doesn't make much sense

copper notch
#

I've no idea why you would get a different result than I did, however there is likely something different between your access and my access, and we're running different operating systems, so the user agent reflects that, so it is a possibility that they are doing something OS specific or browser specific and it is not working properly. Just speculation.

#

It could even be that we're accessing different CDN nodes and they're not 100% synchronized with the same data.

tall vapor
#

yeah, def more of a geo thing

#

rather than anythin sys specific

#

cause that'd be weird, it's literally the same browser configured to do the same thing (request dark mode)

#

or they're a/b testing, who knows

#

cause things like that often times do be explained by that

copper notch
#

could try making a new browser profile and visiting the site to see what happens from a pristine browser

copper notch
#

private windows may have extensions enabled

tall vapor
#

The only plugin I got that /could/ influence that is ubo anyway (on me default profile), so eh

copper notch
#

lemme try it...

#

Interesting, I got a different result now.

tall vapor
#

Yeah, that's exactly what I got

copper notch
#

I wonder if perhaps they had it one way when I first accessed it, but they decided to change it after that, but since I used it before that it remembers my setup in a cookie

#

Perhaps it defaulted to automatic and they got complaints as some people's auto switched to dark mode and they didn't like it so they changed the default back to light. Just a thought. It kind of makes sense to default it to light for a while though so people do not get an unexpected change right away. Once they have the whole site more robustly supporting dark mode and out of beta, then it might make sense to change to automatic by default.

vernal current
#

So all this news on Intel CPUs and I'm thinking of going AMD

#

I don't have any knowledge on AMD CPU. What's the equivalent to the i9?

#

The 7000 series or the 9000?

#

I read that a new AMD CPU is coming in a few days?

copper notch
vernal current
#

I'm confused by the naming. Is the R9 = 7950X?

copper notch
#

16 core 32 thread, and 12 core 24 thread. The X3D models have 3x the L3 cache which is good for gaming and certain other tasks, with slightly lower clocks that slightly decreases performance of non-gaming apps that do not benefit from the extra L3 cache.

#

AMD's R naming is similar in nature to Intel's i naming. So think i9 = R9, i7 = R7, however these are more or less just bullshit marketing terms for consumers to indicate the processor tier as low (i3/R3), mid (i5/R5), mid-high(i7/R7), and high end (i9/R9). What's more important is the core and thread counts, clock speeds etc.

#

The x950 chips are all 16 core, and for a given unit if there is no X it is the baseline, if there is an X it is usually clocked slightly higher and about 5% faster'ish. And the X3Ds include the triple L3 cache for gaming. On the 12 and 16-core units the X3D is only on one of the 2 8-core chiplet dies.

tall vapor
#

Also note that AMD doesn't have a heterogeneous setup on desktop. Ie all those 16 cores of a 7950X for example are "P" cores

copper notch
#

Yes, another benefit, no concerns over having multiple core types with different instruction set support or major performance differences.

vernal current
#

After rereading your reply I understood it now

#

The way it was written was that all of them were part of the same line

tall vapor
copper notch
#

All of AMD's CPUs are made from the exact same 8-core CPU chiplet. The 8 core chip uses a full 8-core chiplet. The 6-core uses an 8-core chiplet with 2 cores disabled (basically a defective 8-core with 2 cores burnt off to have a functional 6-core unit). The 12 and 16-core chips use 2 8-core chiplets giving 6+6 cores or 8+8 cores.

tall vapor
#

yah, that's it when it comes to the normal desktop chips

copper notch
#

Did you guys see the latest spiel on Intel? Even more defect problems being reported with the chip's ring bus getting damaged.

#

I really hope Intel figures this out and gets back on track. Maybe Gelsinger has to go, who knows. They need to get their house in order though or we're all screwed into a one-vendor situation, not good for competition or consumers.

tall vapor
#

Yeah yeah, I am aware. The ring blowing itself up is p much what I expected considering the symptomatic, tbf

copper notch
#

In other words Intel needs to make non-suck CPUs so I can keep buying AMD chips cheaper. LOL

tall vapor
copper notch
#

They're probably just hoping that the microcode update will delay as many chips from failure until after the warranty expires in order to cut losses.

tall vapor
#

delay it past the point where whomever you bought your computer from doesn't have to give a frig no more, yes

copper notch
#

I suspect the majority of consumers do not download and install BIOS updates though, so they're still going to have a lot of dead chips on their hands.

tall vapor
#

where they can then claim that it's the user's fault for not installing the update

#

how nice.

I hope AMD announces when the X3D chips will launch within the next 2 weeks too so people can plan out systems better, depending on whether they want X3D or not.

tall vapor
#

cause thus far they appear to have been using the x3d chips as exactly that. as a mid gen upgrade/refresh

#

so really.... hope that arrow lake comes out soon&will actualy work&will defeat the non x3d 9000 series chips RWkek

vernal current
#

So I'm reading that X3D is for gaming. What's the difference between that and the regular chips?

copper notch
#

Well, the first X3D was unexpected and it was timed more or less based on when they got the tech to work. It was initially planned for Zen 2 and the chiplets were made to take it, but they didn't get it working in that timeframe. With Zen 4 it was already a thing and came out roughly 3 months after Zen 4 did IIRC, so I suspect they will release it within 3 months of Zen 5 this time, and possibly timing it to screw over Intel on Arrow Lake

copper notch
# vernal current So I'm reading that X3D is for gaming. What's the difference between that and th...

I mentioned it above, it has triple the L3 cache, which improves memory performance and latency which benefits applications like games where that is important, however it comes at a slight cost of a small clock speed drop which lowers performance at the same time, but only affects apps that do not benefit from the extra cache. It's a pretty huge boost to gaming and things like software compilation.

#

They basically sandwich an extra L3 cache chiplet on top of the main CPU die on top of the existing L3 cache, however the extra cache chiplet has twice the memory density, so it holds twice as much, tripling the overall cache.

vernal current
#

Would it help for stuff like Photoshop and video editing?

copper notch
#

I'm not certain but I think the answer is no, would have to look it up though.

vernal current
#

So just get the regular cpu then?

#

I don't plan to game on it

copper notch
#

The Zen 5 X3D is improved over the last 2 generations also but AMD has been a little terse on giving out too much info. Apparently the clock speed drop is lower than before which is good, and apparently they will allow overclocking of X3D now (it wasn't before). They hinted at other improvements too but we don't know yet.

#

If you're not gaming then you probably want to get the non-X3D variants. 9950X will end up being the top sku for productivity/creative

tall vapor
#

for them to want to use the dense cores in desktop they wanna be triple confident that they be hulk on a per core basis still, with some hulk+ cores (ie non dense) thrown into the mix too batty_giggle

copper notch
#

Yeah... Seen that and been a bit confused by it because Zen 5 will be 8 standard cores, and Zen 5c will be 16 cores with half the L3 cache (clocked slightly slower IIRC) in roughly the same physical chiplet size. So if they're combining the two, in the raw that would be 8+16 cores, so if they are only 8+4, what is that, 16-core c dies that had a lot of dead cores so they nuke 12 of them? Seems like the space of the 2 chiplets would be too large for a mobile chip unless they're using different packaging. A little confused about that one.

tall vapor
#

long term goal undoubtedly be for the normal cores to be "halfway to dense" but still reaching the perf that would be expected from full normal, and then smash 16 of them onto a single ccd

tall vapor
tall vapor
copper notch
#

I've done a lot of deep thought about when they will shift to 16 core chiplets mainstream, and why, and making sense of it all. I wont go into my 2 hour long explanation or people will pass out, but my speculation is that Zen 7 will be made from 16 core chiplets that become their new standard chiplet, replacing the 8-core ones, and that these will be full L3 cache, not half cache as the current c variants. I speculate that because they'll be on an even smaller process node which will further shrink the existing chiplets enough that they can use full L3 on them and have enough space for it while still fitting it in the existing die size.

vernal current
#

No seatbelts

vernal current
tall vapor
#

think the main crux there really be the stacking. If they can find a way to stick vcache ontop or under cores.... whelp, you just got much more empty space on yer ccd cause you literally don't have to include l3 on it no more

copper notch
#

Also, the game consoles have 8-year lifespans and are slated for new console releases in the 2028 timeframe, which is around the timeframe for Zen 7, and if you add 8 years to that you get 2036. There is no way a gaming console is going to survive and be relevant and competitive with PC gaming all the way to 2036 with only 8-cores, and Sony is apparently putting 16 cores into the next gen playstation. no idea about Microsoft but they'd be dead in the water if they didn't do the same thing. They could just use the Zen c variants for the consoles, as console CPUs tend to have half the L3 cache compared to desktop anyway. But it wont make sense to use the c variants on desktop CPUs in Zen 7 timeframe.

tall vapor
#

you don't clock those crazy high either, ya know?

copper notch
#

I suspect that they might release their first desktop 16-core full fat chiplets with a split 32+32 cache, which is fine as Zen 2 and older had similar design at half scale, however it would be amazing if they were to make the first 16-core desktop chiplets unified L3 across the entire die as it would doulbe the available L3 for gaming just in the base models, and the X3D variants would triple that and end up with 192MB of L3.

#

They'll be able to make 12, 8, or any other lower core variants just from 16-core chiplet defects but if they have unified L3, the lower core variants will benefit a lot from that too.

tall vapor
#

or like 16 on die, another 32 ontop

#

sth like that

copper notch
#

Well, it really is a matter of the yields they get. That is why Zen, Zen+, Zen 2 had 4+4 design, to get higher yields. But the fab node had great yields before Zen 3 went in, so they unified the cache and ditched the 4-core model variants.

#

The thing is, with the 16-core c variant, they already have half the cache and it is split, and Zen 5 will be the 2nd generation of that, so by the time the 3rd generation comes around there's a good chance they'll have got it solid, and if the node they're using is really great with yields I can see them unifying the L3 there too. That will be particularly good for enabling games to go beyond 8 cores without any negatives.

#

And that is why I suspect they'll get a unified design by then for the consoles as well, because the c variants have split cache so there would be some memory latency issues on consoles with that, however... it would probably be less of a performance hit than Zen 2's split cache which the consoles already use.

#

And it would perform better in gaming than the 8+8 designs do now if a game crosses chiplets, as inter chiplet latency is higher than cross CCX

#

They will probably stack core dies at some point in the future, but I believe the higher cost of doing that and getting it right, cooling it, will require lower clock speeds and be more expensive and be relegated to EPYC and not consumer.

tall vapor
#

reducing inter chiplet penalty also be on the menu, I mean we saw an early snapshot of that with navi31

copper notch
#

I do wonder how BPD will open up other possibilities in the future CPU designs too though.

copper notch
#

Either Zen 5 or 6 (I forget) is supposed to reduce inter-chiplet latency IIRC due to some change with the interposer or something

#

BPD = backside power delivery

tall vapor
#

aaaahhh, right

copper notch
#

Which for the uninitiated is NOT sticking a power cord up yer butt LOL

tall vapor
#

that's zen6 me thinks

#

cause zen5 still uses the same IOD as zen4, too

copper notch
#

I watched a bunch of videos 2-3 months ago about it but forget which chip is likely to get it. Saw another one on Intel's BPD also. It's all a really cool idea that should be a big boost for CPU arch.

tall vapor
copper notch
#

Although Intel's will probably be called BPF...

Man, I just ate a massive slab of salmon. I intended to just have one 6-8oz piece, but ended up eating the whole thing it was so good LOL

tall vapor
#

thou hath nommed fgsNOM

copper notch
#

I do think that by the time we get to Zen 7 things are going to get super interesting on desktop for power user geeks like us.

tall vapor
copper notch
#

In addition to the 16-core chiplets I predict based on the above, I think it will be a natural point for them to increase core counts if they haven't done a 24-core Zen 6 interim by then. It'd make sense to have 32 core desktop models by then, which a lot of people want and could use now. Although there is one major concern that I have with that which I think will need to be addressed at least for many use cases of that many cores.

#

They need to pop out a motherboard chipset that can do quad (or higher) memory channel for consumer desktop motherboards, and bump up the max RAM amount as well. No sense having extra cores if they all choke at the door trying to get into the building.

tall vapor
#

The end of dual channel (or when it comes to ddr5 quad) channel ram, aye. We just gotta feed those goddamn cores and ddr generations aren't keeping up

copper notch

copper notch
#

And by ECC support do you mean a motherboard that says it supports ECC, but it doesn't actually work at all, like most boards now? Or actual working ECC support that you know, actually works? πŸ™‚

tall vapor
copper notch
#

I'd be willing to pay an extra say... 10-20% for ECC RAM, as I believe that's about how much it costs extra to produce, but if they charge much more than that I'd probably pass.

#

maybe up to 30% for the extra benefit on top of cost.

Super low prio, but should be a fun time. Will be nice to get rid of all that hardware and get it a new home to someone who is into retro stuff.

and that 1060-6 went on to be me only ever nv card, lel

copper notch
#

I want to build an XP machine, and find ancient GPU testing software and test them all including VRAM tho so anything that is not working right either goes in the garbage or perhaps list it as "not working" for parts or whatever.

#

I know I have a few dead GPUs.

tall vapor
copper notch
#

Only time I had high end GPUs was when I got them from work back in the day, that's where my entire collection comes from more or less. I've always bought GPUs that were at the peak of the bell curve of value:$$$ historically. Been wanting to get a high end GPU for many years now but the whole COVID and crypto thing and the last gen of hardware all were poor value so I dipped down to holdover.

#

Depending on pricing, availability and other factors I might spring for one this time around though, as I have a high and rising interest in both using and developing AI applications.

tall vapor
#

I have come to the conclusion that highend cards are way too expensive anyway AND I don't do things that would require em either

#

combine that with the "oh yeah of course it's still fully supported, no worries there" that ya get with amd cards on lin... yeah well doggolul

copper notch
#

I technically don't need one as far as gaming and many other things are concerned, but a higher end card would provide a lot of benefits for various things I do for sure, and when I incorporate AI into the mix, it is all about the VRAM there. AI runs so friggen slow on my laptop. I mean it works and I'm grateful for that, but damn it's slow.

And now the new models like Llama 3.1 have RAG and network capabilities that would be so friggen useful. Not sure if I can get that to even work or not.

# sudden adder weird analogy for "Advanced Mode vs Simple Mode" Imagine buying a house, and on...

I was recently thinking about how you might rebrand the Advanced / Simple modes to more readily communicate the benefits vs trade-offs. Maybe "Smart" (as in "smartphone") and "Dumb" (as in "dumbphone"). Since "Simple" is more automagic and does stuff right for you, whereas "Advanced" is you have to do it all yourself and it's kind of clunky.

But that "smart/dumb" seems too loaded with value judgments. Besides, maybe it will be too abstract of logic for people to follow. So maybe "Automatic" vs "Manual"? Hmm, no, people will want to do "Manual" because "it's better". And you still have to set some things manually in Simple.

What about... "Advanced" as the new name for the default tab, because it does everything for you, and "Simple" for the other tab, because it does nothing automagically, and you have to tell it everything you want it to do (it doesn't know and won't guess for you)! Maybe this will make more people use the default tab!!!

terse helm
#

I think it should be Normal vs Manual mode

#

alternatively, Chad vs Nerd mode

drowsy mason
#

In your analogy: I actually have "both rooms" installed in this hypothetical mansion (both tabs can be clicked any time in OBS). I bounced between "rooms" as-needed. I started in Advanced because "I am a codec nerd, I researched this stuff." I hung around here more and realized there was more to it that I didn't know and Simple was more best-practices than my first instincts.

Eventually I got less sure, and needed more info about how the "Simple" room worked, so I looked up the wiring diagrams the installers left behind (source code of OBS) and now I understand how they are similar and how they're not. I still don't fully know what I'm doing, but I know what I am selecting in the "Simple" room at least. (More than the labels on the switches and knobs explain it directly.)

#

"Already good" vs "git gud" tab (although I mean that sarcastically and people will take it literally, so no)

#

"Best Practices" mode / "Tweaker" mode

#

"Normal" mode / "I just need this one thing" mode
