You will have to be the person who is registered on the account who is paid by Twitch (unless you are under 18, it must be your parent) You will likely pay taxes, check with an authority in your country.

I believe the current Twitch minimum earned for payout is $50. Having the money in your bank means you can earn interest off it (as little as it may be) rather than Twitch earning interest off it.

I feel like when it comes to people wanting to stream, they see the people that make money off it as well as the people they watch and think they'll just start streaming and be just like them without stopping to think about the absolute massive amounts of people that they choose to not click on the stream for and watch who have no viewers and aren't interesting enough to keep their attention and how they themselves would most likely be just like them if they started streaming.

Moral of the story is, stream cuz you want to for fun as a hobby and not to get viewers, money or any kind of success.

If you want to try your hand at generating some kind of success nowadays you need to get to work on making YouTube content and attempt to generate a following there first that you can then use to get a leg up with in streaming.

Lots of these middle tier and top tier streamers with 100+ viewers and regular subscribers making roughly minimum wage from their streams got started many many years ago when it was possible to build a following by just being live all the time with consistency but that doesn't work anymore.

Not really. The game files are the same just install the game to the same location you install steam games to then when you go add the game on steam to your library just do a file check

"MPEG-4" is normal mp4. "Fragmented MP4" saves in chunks, so is less likely to become majorly corrupted if something goes wrong before it is fully saved out to disk (maybe OBS or your PC crashed? "Fragmented MP4" might help reduce the damage to the footage.) MKV is a lot like "Fragmented MP4" in terms of if OBS or your PC crashes the whole file shouldn't be corrupted.

Video editors and certain software like Windows' built-in video players sometimes struggle with "Fragmented MP4" or MKV.

"Fragmented MP4" or MKV are pretty safe to initially record to, and then you can "remux" at the end to normal MP4 if there are issues with using the MKV/Fragmented MP4.

"Remuxing" takes the same audio/visuals and puts it in a different container format. It can help with compatibility, since almost every software can use regular (not-fragmented) MP4 just fine. (OBS has a "remux" feature, if you use this you will always get a regular MP4 file out of it.)

I suppose if someone's computing habits are to only keep one or two programs open at a time, save their work instinctively regularly or via some frequent auto-save mechanism, and the computer spontaneously rebooting and killing all running programs would not affect them due to their habit, it might be sensible to turn it on to keep up to date. I can't imagine having that kind of computing habits though. Personally I run 78234 programs simultaneousliy at all times, with 5 million browser tabs, have all kinds of files open in tonnes of programs, many of which don't auto-save, etc. so I turn that auto-update thing right off. It doesn't 100% prevent it, but it does good enough that eventually I can manually shut down and do updates at a time of my own choosing. I do wish there was an easy way to just turn the auto feature off completely. I like being notified that updates are available and the occasional reminder, but don't like the OS being my mom. I know the risks and prefer to be the elector of what risks I'll take myself without Momcrosoft doing it for me. 🙂

So, I would kind of imagine that others do the same, and at that point you're kind of just using python to be able to easily (and familiarly) interact with the data, while you let the optimized libs go vroom vroom 😛

Python's for loop has so much overheard just to make it as seamless as possible, because you never know what a developer might do with an array while iterating over it, such as removing an item and still being able to tell which one to iterate to next.

the first thing I tried out was to create a multiview layout without PGM

turned out great so far 🤔

2nd one was a very basic way of implementing an additional decklink playout, only playing out a single Scene . also worked on 1st try which im very proud of xP

having now worked with both these things i now know why there is currently no way to output the multiview via Decklink 😭
