My 11900k is in the group of chips that runs like turbogarbage unless you bring it down by 0.2 or 0.3 ghz, and then it's just totally fine. 11900k predates Intel's stance on "we always try to run at 95C", and with the 14900k holding 120C, I think it's probably in the same group, owo.
Plus, we're talking about energy usage primarily, not temperatures.

If I let my motherboard have its way it will bump it up to 200 plus but there is no benefit to doing that and it throttles faster so good job ASUS

I personally owned a gigabyte gtx 950 back in the day that ran on 75w motherboard power and that thing surprisingly did some serious work.
I was able to play through rise of the tomb raider at 1080p medium low mixed graphics at about 45fps average
