I think I understand. They have an irridescence that is conveyed through an emission map material that has some kind of fresnel shader. So since it's tied to either a saturation value or some other thing, the glow will get more intense to coincide

also the idea is that they are more efficient on devtime by cutting down on ontogeny/combat/AI/etc, bc some of the animals implemented prolly would have whack-ahhh ontogeny (not to mention needing to make such tiny models you can barely see)

however the stylization of these designs is very clear in two factors, their sculpting and their faces

one could argue that Kron is more heavily stylized than Aladar due his exaggerated features, but they're both meant to represent the same species, and despite so, Kron still follows the same style principles as Aladar, just more drastically

PK Iguano is the game's equivalent of Kron, which leans more into being an oddball design rather than a stylization of its own
