For those who pickaxe to craft faster, I found hitting the pipe on the right side of the crafting station can spawn a weak point hit which actually does take off a little more time per hit vs just hitting the droid directly. Don't think I saw anybody mention this.

It never really explained in the tutorial I dont think. Around the back of the catina there is a Droid you can speak with and he will take chips you've collected to upgrade the rarity of your companion Droid at the time

They're just a new variant, a tier higher than rainbow. So they make more money per second

But you cannot upgrade them with chips

The event just makes it 2x more possible to get them, there is a countdown timer at the top of your screen that will countdown until they come out

So I got an legendary epic and it makes 18k per second but it cost like a couple hundred billion to buy

It's not totally clear, but I believe this will be it's own classification of droids, similar to rare/legendary/iconic. (Different from variants, which are gold, diamond, etc.)
