For those that stream or use multiple monitors can I get y'all to post what you use! I'm looking for a new setup for my desk. Specifically what do with monitors. I want them mounted but I think I need a third just need someone with better ideas than myself on how to place them with what I've got. For the 3rd monitor I was thinking a vertical/tall monitor would be best.

this could be the angle but ergonomically your monitors are too low. mounting could be good so you can where it is with your eyesight. I think it would really depend as getting a third monitor what you would be using it for, but you would probably want to remove the shelf on the right so you could have enough space to center the middle one + have two flanking it. I find having two monitors is enough (although they are two ultrawides) but i know that there are people what need more

I do flight sim livestreams on YouTube. I've recently got myself a new desk as well as a VKB UCM-S mount for my VKB Gunfighter joystick.

Audio interface I'm using is the Focusrite Scarlett 18i20.

Believe me, it was not easy trying to set this up.

The main problem with the setup is the USB-A cable of the VKB Gunfighter.

Tabletop it doesn't cause much issues, but with the UCM mount, now it really starts to limit how far the USB cable can reach.

I've considered moving my desktop computer to the left side; however, that presents ANOTHER problem in which the USB-C cable of my Focusrite audio interface can't reach it anymore.

Not to mention the condo furnace/air conditioning on the left side that makes it hazardous for me to place my PC there anyway.

So, after having conceptualized various configurations, I found that placing the PC tower parallel to the back wall would be the best compromise.

This allows the USB-A cable of the VKB Gunfighter to reach the computer without having to make too much mess, AND allows for my audio interface to have an easy connection with the PC as well.

The concern I do have with this setup is the PC fans.

I've done the best I could to maximize the ventilation space available; however, my primary concern here is that over time, the XLR cable or the IEC power cable connecting to my right side studio monitor can fail due to the heat generated by the rear PC fan.

So, what do you guys think? Is there a better way for me to go about this setup, or do you guys feel that I've done the best I could given the limited space available on my desk?

Sure...but Flatscreen TVs are cheap to pick up locally from places like fb sales or craigslist. Got my 43" TV from a local guy for $50. you can get adapters to use the HDMI port from a PC pretty cheaply from Amazon, and honestly, it's not really that different and gives you more options than using a regular monitor.
However, pre-used monitors are more spendy, but also available locally if you look.

Thanks. It used to be on a stand, but it took to much room. So i just bought a big enough desk to mount the wheel and dismantled the stand but kept the pedals on it. So i can just slide it under the desk.

Plug it into one of the other ports on your gpu. Windows will auto detect it. Go to display settings to tell windows which monitor is which and position them. Easy cheesy.

I bought a top from Ikea (like a extra wide top) and then purchased a sit stand set of legs to install on it (That part I spent a lot of money on cause i got the Jarvis sit stand legs, but you can do it much cheaper). If you don't want the sit stand aspect, you could put it on top of taller-ish drawers (like the Alex drawers) for more storage.

Does your home not have climate control? Most portable AC units these days are either window mounted, or a ground unit with a big tube to vent through a window. Be aware, they do pull a fair amount of power (10-15amps) so you will want a circuit on a dedicated breaker (or at least don’t share it with your PC which pulls a ton of power as well). For cold months, they make portable heaters (which also pull a ton of power). Blackout curtains in the summer and open windows in the winter help as well. We do our whole house that way.

Are you just picking random channels to post in? Anyway, you have dual output enabled, so it’s forcing you to stream that way. It’s in the upper left letting you know. Disable it and you can single stream. you can enable/disable the feature by toggling the new button located at the top of the Sources panel in your Streamlabs Desktop Editor.

This is my stream room, it’s also the guest room from time to time. Only things left are some hardware and tech stuff to do, but no one will see that anyway. Another thing you can’t see is the 150’ cat8 Ethernet cable running all the way down 3 sets of stairs. Cheaper and more reliable than Wi-Fi hubs.

Want to upgrade my “desk,” monitor and chair at some point, but at least I’m always having a ball while playing. 😆

That’s personal preference. I used my 2nd monitor horizontal for years and loved it. My new desk isn’t big enough for 2 32” monitors that way. I put my 2nd vertical. It took me a while to get used to it, but it’s not bad anymore. I think I still like horizontal better overall.

It is amazing!! But sometimes it is too wide and you'd have to turn your head to look at "HUD" or etc.. Which in this case if you are playing an FPS it's not really ideal to look away from your crosshairs if in a gun fight etc..

Other than that it is insanely good at running games on 5120 x 1440p with 120hz.

@young quarry it’s not so much the monitor you have to worry about playing in Fullscreen and or windowed for it can be played on either.

You’d have to worry about the game. If it supports 5120 x 1440p . And also the refresh rate on this monitor is 240hz.

Most games like COD supports fullscreen. Honestly all games that I have played so far, I am able to go 5120 x 1440p with no problem. It’s the older games like Rainbow six siege that does not support those specs.

It is a modular desk. It costs about $150 AUD and it is definitely worth the price tag.

Depends entirely on the use case, but the times I've used it for streaming I've liked the extra buttons, helps when you have a bunch of scenes and sources you need to manage

Plus you can set it up with pages you can swap to for technically even more buttons

Acoustic treatment, probably a better mic, and a key light or two would probably take your stream mojo to the next level. If you're on a budget, you can do all of that for less than $100. The Neat Bumblebee 2 is like $30 right now and I bet will sound a lot better than your headset mic. Or if you have a lot of background noise a dynamic mic could be a better choice. There is a Fifine USB/XLR mic and arm bundle on Amazon for less than $60 at the moment. Cheap USB key lights are super inexpensive, and some of those hexaagon stick on acoustic panels or something similar can be had for about $30.

That's awesome!! Congrats on the upgrades. If you're just using a regular webcam, most of them would let you just clip them to the top of your monitor and point them straight down. Another option could be another boom arm. If you can put holes in the wall, they make arms that mount to the wall that hang right over your mkb

Oh, I see this now. I think that's not too bad, but it's not something I've done or would pay attention to, so my opinion is kind of irrelevant. Aesthetically though, I think it would look a bit better if the keyboard was more square with the screen
