progress from last night
I was looking through some roblox files and found this old project from december and decided to publish it. Certainly not my best work but feel free to check it out

oh yeah I also do stuff for https://discord.com/channels/346444423271415819/1477576428617994345
im suing yalls asses
interesting
It’s actually based off of some computer speakers from an old hp desktop, with some creative liberties taken. As of now I’m refining the design to be a bit different and more similar to the actual speakers
okay good 😭
because i vividly remember showing it on stream and you and kaz tried recreating it and seeing which one was better
Oh I do remember that lol
Yeah I never ended up using that recreation
I’m not that scummy
yeah just be careful, i'm 99% sure my staff team would probably kill anyone who has assets that look like theyre copying ours lmao
no worries, youre fine, just make sure it looks a bit more like those hp ones
speaking of i love the blue fabric on it
some WIP concepts for the specific nuclear divition of Way-Star
the nuclear division would've handled the normal nuclear power stations as well as the three fusion reactor models (still working on a name for them) with their respective specialized personnel
this was originally going to be a logo for the scrapped idea of a Way-Star Energy Worker's Union but I realized that it looked like a communist flag in that context so I simplified the design a bit and made these
this will likely appear alongside or replace the current reacops logo witch will likely become the regular way-star seal
for context, this is the current reacops logo
I will be remaking it at some point for the record as it does look quite ass
but the general idea of the polygon with the star will be the same
this is a redesign I just made, im pretty happy with it but I may work on it over spring break while im out of town
(yes im aware is bears some resemblance to the qaec logo, but this is just what comes with having any 6-sided shape as a logo)
I will also work on new PA speakers tomorrow to avoid potential unintentional resemblance to intergomic's speakers
decided a on more circular logo as the final way-star seal
also will be working on a less soviet-looking ro logo either later tonight or tomorrow
ro jumpscare
Hello sorry for lack of stuff, I’ve been out of town and am also moving house so I’ve been quite busy, I promise I’ll share some more soon
For now enjoy this image of a speaker I saw at Home Depot
thats a cool speaker
looks very yellow
I do plan to make a model out of it
Whether it will replace the current remaster or appear alongside is tbd with my co-dev
this is kinda a concept model not the acutal thing I want to use but its close-ish
also refreshing some stuff like ceo portraits and other minor lore stuff, its very incomplete still so I wont show it (for now) but it is looking much more solid than what we had
new map tjing @warm dew
ibm skybox my beloved
Yeah not to be all unc doomer but if they do require a subscription, after I'm done with qs I'll be leaving the platform
I'll prob open-source all my games and just post them as rbxl files somewhere since publishing wont really be an option if I dont pay
atp game design is my only other business on this platform and I cant even reasonably share my work then I might as well just leave
if they don't do subscription I might say for a bit longer
we'll see
(for context, I mostly share my works with irl friends who are all <16, as am I. So it would not be even playable for them)
OK so its almost definitivley joever
Roblox staff has elaborated more on the game eval process and a game needs 500 unique plays from age checked "highly engaged" players. This is simply something that is incredibly hard for a studio comprised of three people, with one being active consistently.
A game will need to reach 500 unique plays by age-checked highly engaged users 16 years old and older in the last 30 days. We use a variety of signals to give us confidence the play session is genuine and not from a bot or a fake account, including session duration, account age, alt detection, engagement distribution, and if the user has recently made a purchase somewhere on Roblox.

I would love to continue publishing updates for everyone to play but the issue is that I don't and shouldn't pay a company that keeps shooting itself in the foot, that is equivalent to tossing money into a trash pit on fire. As I've said, I will probably open-source some (definitely not all) of my games
Holy shit dude that’s gonna kill any game that isn’t like insanely popular right of the bat
Christ
Quick update:
I’m not going to be working on any flagship games anymore due to the publishing requirements. I will still work on VCNL but it won’t be the flagship game I wanted it to be. I’m still quite busy with other obligations but I’ll be back sometime at the end of may
vcnl coming never:TM:
ughh I exported the wrong thing
rip
here we go
ugh
wrong one again!!
ok THIS is the right one
I know this is a little out there but its scifi cut me some slack
im also not a linux poweruser so
hammer time!
Originally, Way-Star would've started out making tabulating machines and cash registers. After WWII they would move more into the grander electronics market, including making more than just computers but that's another whole thing for later. They would likely be one of the first to pioneer the use of vacuum tubes rather than pure mechanical calculations. The computers would not have been used for the nuclear reactors yet, that would ultimately be the second CEO's decision to fully enter nuclear. Way-Star would canonically be the one of the first to start selling solid state machines commercially, probably around the time that RCA sold the 501, so mid 1958. Later on in the mid sixties is when Way-Star would begin making whole mainframes rather than just the individual pieces of the computers. The first would be the WS-200 made in ~1962 at one of their own labs, but they would begin installing mainframes as a service in the late sixties into the 70s, 80s, and 90s until large mainframes fell out of fashion where they would then pivot to servers.
For software, the early solid state computers would've been a custom system coded on LISP and later Pascal too, this would be used until the late seventies when Way-Star developed a UNIX-like command line system that would then get a desktop interface in the mid eighties. Most data would have been stores on a bunch of mainframes that would've made a database. These databases would've been local as the company would've been a rather late adopter for any (inter/intra)net type system, sometime in the early 90s then the WWW was taking off. Permissions would've been manages at the local mainframe level and could only be managed at the local system, connected terminals could not elevate their permissions (sudo was an option, but only for sysadmins). The first OS would've been called the Way-Star Command Line Utility only run on mainframes, however when terminals, especially with desktop environments became popular, the company would've moved to the fictional WayOS (I say fictional because there is a real, albeit niche and irrelevant WayOS).
hmm nice
Nice lighting
literally 1984
this fucking monolith of a machine
only $999.99!
This one in particular would've been sold mainly to he business market in the mid-to-late eighties as a more advanced desktop for executives or IT departments. It would've most likely come with a monochrome screen, I plan to make a specific screen texture for it to make it monochrome.
logo's pretty unreadable
thought it was an usb port
new welcome image thing
no texture version
for the welcome text I used the Weltron 2001 font, for the other text I use Univers Bold
Both are free I believe
or I've been unknowingly pirating
I love piracy
im pirating your game as we speak!(I have no idea how to do that)
I would say saveinstanceing but the devsite is private 😭
you know what
fuck you you're getting playterting access
@placid tendon forced to playtest 🥀
bug: doors do not open, script them
uhm
intentional
(I'm too lazy to fully build out some areas)

yeah like 13 in the cafe, 2 in the hallways, and
(I know you arent a femboy im just annoying you)
I do stuff in studio and a little graphic design stuff. I used to work on a bunch of stuff but due to roblox being stupid I'm only working on one as of now.
My main project is the OfficeScape which is what I post the most often here.

why shouldnt I?
if you kill me I can't add more mes to the game
true...
we do a little side shenanigans
wow, these tru-white bulbs really brighten up the place!
things are thinging
Renamed VCTL to OfficeScape because I don't really have the interest or skill to make a core game. Will be a showcase
will still take place in vctl though
stink
is it optimised 🤔
you forgot to post your new office
no 😭
optimise it
No
Why
there is
the cylinders
are 32seg
when you can make it liek 8 segments
and nobody would notice because its so small and its neon
It’s used so sparingly that it’s not worth importing the parts to blender and decreasing the face count
There are like 2 in total used
what about #1462502345903575132 message
Hi
Not the same lights
yes but
i said what about those
they can do with some optimization regarding the cylinders
Why do I need the optimize them
They have so low impact
the better performance the better
