as some of the long term qsp members know, during early 2024 i suggested an emoji purge, due to the severe lack of emoji slots in QSP, and the fact i could point out multiple unused and would-never-be-used emojis
surprisingly, enigma agreed to this, and the final outcome was that a thread was created, where everyone would upload an emoji they thought was actually useful (eg, 
, you get the deal), with said thread being announced in the #❗┃other channel as @/ here ping or some other attention bringer
then, after 1 or 2 days of the thread being open and people sending their emojis, i (preferably, and i did it for 2024's purge) would download all the emojis and keep the ones that people wanted (and keep an archive of the old ones just in case)
if someone sends an emoji in the thread that other people deem useless or not used enough, it would not be counted (refer to 2024's thread which was created in general)
then, every single emoji in qsp down until the QS icons at the bottom of the emoji list would be deleted
after that, the saved emojis would be re-uploaded in multiple batches, and eventually, all saved emojis are uploaded
what this does is it purges every single emoji that people did NOT want to save
as a result, a huge amount of emojis are left behind, leaving up to 100+ free slots or more of emoji slots, keeping space for another year (we are overdue, 2024's purge did us well)
i think another one should be conducted in the same way, since it worked last time, theres no reason it shouldnt be done again in the same way
ADDITIONALLY, if theres a need or feeling to do so, any emoji-uploading members that have expressions access can temporarily have their emoji uploading perms taken away from them, but this shouldnt be neccesary
stickers are also seperate from this purge, since they are their own thing and are going to (hopefully prior to a previous suggestion) be cleaned out regulary, same deal
what quantifies as a useless emoji?
personally, and to everyone elses opinion most likely, a useless emoji is an emoji that is never used, dosent have any leverage to be used in a conversation, or in general is not likely to ever be sent
for example, call me harsh if you will, and im not trying to make the uploader of this emoji feel bad or target them, but the QS logo parodys, eg the second image, is the QS logo with the goog cat
i just, why?? personally, imagine this, your in a conversation with someone, can you imagine a conversation where you would ever use this emoji? obviosuly this emoji was created for the purpose of being a one off joke or because "haha goog funny qsp logo goog qsp logo funny" but like, it wastes emoji space for other people and everything eventually adds up
the QS logo parody emojis are in general take up a lot of emoji slots, and thats just one example
ALSO, i would say that redundant emojis count as useless, if you have an emoji that is similar to another one but is very slightly changed, i think it is too redundant to be counted as useful
an exclusion to this are the 
, 
, and 
emojis since they convey different meanings but are still the same format
tldr; for that section, a useless emoji is just an emoji uploaded without consideration if it will ever actually be used
so now what?
i think, that if either enigma (unlikely) or someone else is available, a thread is created in general or some other spot for emojis to be put in to be "saved", and either i (i have been trusted with power in QS) or someone else with the understanding of the concept reuploads the emojis in batches once every emoji up to the QS icons is deleted
additionally, this might need its own suggestion and ill probably make one, but guidelines should be put on emoji uploading, even basic ones
