The reason the Generating Station was expanded underground in 2002 was to reinforce the deep caverns beneath the forest, as they posed a significant hazard for landslides, earthquakes, and sinkholes. Another reason for this was to reduce material costs in the expansion, and to overall, make the Station safer for the environment (which ofcourse, was not true)
in general, the USC made a LOT of lies about the construction of the whole damn place

Also will there be some kind of flood event? Like imagine the discharge gets blocked so water can’t leave the tunnel so levels start rising inside until almost completely filling up the cavern
1, are you talking about the tunnels in the image? because those are the access tunnels which ofcourse, grant access to a few areas
2, i was considering an event like that at one point but it seemed too unrealistic considering that just one blocked discharge shaft wont be enough to trigger flooding the whole place
not only that, there are overflow dams to prevent flooding so

If you ask me for personal opinion about these softwares, I can best say do so at your own risk.
(aka not recommended unless you are certain)
Brick_Wall8898 did recommended some proper alternatives that are free and can allow you to make textures, though do keep in mind making textures from scratch is a massive learning curve so do take your time if you ever venture into that. Blender also can be used to make textures too, just need to learn about their nodes systems.
I do make all textures from scratch and I do have pirated adobe product to utilize that, because I do dislike them for being very greedy and controlling with their softwares, but I do advise for now seek any free alternative first, since i did funnily enough started texturing using blender back then
I hate adobe, but piracy is a rather big risk to take, not suitable for anyone who isn't too tech savy or know security practices
i do want to make that big statement since, although piracy is morally correct for that certain company, you are esentially putting your trust on third-party services, not something for everyone to partake

i am actively trying blender and learning its ways though

another side note, do venture in blender one at a time
what i ment is, atm you are getting to understand modeling, i've seen your optimization practices and they are good

I have no idea how Roblox works but whenever I make a GUI I always add a transparent layer (back) behind the gui layer as the following

That way the elements can never leave the GUI or they simply won’t be rendered
I am entirely unsure whether Roblox uses the same system
But if it does that would be a good way to solve it

are the sliding doors linked to the power system? could have it where the sliding doors stay open when a power cut occurs
would be interesting if they were electronically locked so you could open them while they're unpowered with force and when power comes back they like fully open and then just normally close again

usually these types of doors, mostly fire and flood doors use things called "drop breaks" or "drop arrestors", when unpowered they essentially block the mechanism which the door needs to stay in motion, usually they're either inbetween the motor and the item being moved or they're on the guider
these are also used similarly in elevators
Well yeah, I was gonna say it should reasonably not fall. But, in this case it seems that it going down is on purpose, but might as well make it safer so you get in less trouble
I believe elevators use a mix of both systems - since they rely on traction cables, the car usually has alignment guides similar to those used on heavy doors aswel as its own operator that essentially applies friction against the safety gear (or stoppers) in the guide rails, did some research and documented tests under ASME A17.1/CSA B44 standards show that modern elevators can decelerate from about 35–45 km/h to a complete stop in roughly 1.5 seconds under no-load conditions
most doors can actually close slowly and be stopped or sometimes even manually opened while unpowered using only mechanical systems while not being reliant on electronics but ye I get what you mean since it is an anti-flood door
it's just not a very safe of excusable way of handling 😭

well, i did make the flood doors fall without any brakes during outages becauseeee
lets say there was a flood
ofcourse water and electricity doesnt mix well
so thatd cause a short circuit, leading to the breakers tripping, and the door automatically shutting

so it would still fall but not drop and still be openable and stuff but ye dw it looks cool and I do love the slam (and I will excuse it and not write it down as an osha violation if you make the drop have a slam and like dust particles 🔥)

hmm issue with a counterweight though is that it would make the door very light even when fully dropped making it likely not air or watertight

speed is prob not a concern with water unless mixed with high volt electrical systems (which in this case may or may not be the case) but it's still quite high above the water level so from what I can take away only when talking about fires (in a building where flammable lines are present such as oil or gas, or oxygen) should speed be a major concern and priority
also the only time where making a door not openable for employees is excusable for the safety of other people

mostly because I used to design similar things into 3D simulations and have them actually run
it wasn't what my job did mostly but this was during training
so I have a basic knowledge on how everything works including things like how certain fluids and gasses flow so I love seeing these things because it just brings me back and it makes me happy to see people doing things that pay attention to these details
and put them into consideration!

solution:
50% chance the door brakes while falling, 50% chance it holds in place for a few seconds then slams shut
sometimes the solution in life is combining the two solutions
was for realism since I used to do something similar irl and gio mentioned he wanted a lot of realism and then my pc died so my spreadsheet on things to realisticify was gone and I am now confined back to my work laptop 🔥

Most people can hold their breath for 1-2mins and survive without oxygwn for 3-6min without problems! So you actualy have as much as 3-8 mins of time being alive, at any given point! Isnt that much better?
