It's a lab and reactor game that my team and I have worked on, on and off, the past two years. It has undergone multiple revisions to continually improve it.

We look to incorporate many things into it:

  • Humour and Easter eggs
  • Realism—we aim to somewhat follow real life, physics, building code, etc
  • Lore through documents and emails
  • Attention to detail
  • Being distinctive—the building style is largely inspired from modern office buildings, compared to normal lab games, for example
  • User freedom—we aim to not limit the user while not pushing too many boundaries. Gamepass bypasses and admin exist in VIP servers, for example

Our team is currently composed of 4 main developers, a composer if needed, and a couple of people to provide feedback and ideas.

I'll post screenshots and updates as needed, but I'm gonna try to power through my one bar 4G LTE connection. dead

at Dumont, as mentioned before, you get lore from emails, docs, notes, etc

#

so I've proposed a collection of everything you've read before

#

@woven edge fyi ^

#

an admin also suggested a badge for reading all of the emails

woven edge
#

Oooh that looks spicy

#

I will say, if nothing else, the idea with the emails for lore and stuff is genius

inner valley
#

I'm actually not sure where that idea came from

#

I think I just made an email gui and was like "ooh this is cool why not make it a feature"

Looks like a good game. Good luck on the revision. (It usually take 1e+5 years fuckingdying)

most painful part was the sacrifices i made to avoid this

#

the models are from Von Duprin (you've seen them before most likely)

#

(door itself without the hardware)

inner valley
#

now we wait for texturing

#

@woven edge omg dumont reference leak!!!

i am loving your ui design

inner valley
#

thanks

#

I've been doing web design for 10-11 years now so I hope I'm good at it

#

#

and pretty nice architecture, nice to see some more bright colors for once

#

Wait...

#

My brain is fried rn

I'd send a photo of a classroom but can't seem to find one

#

the design is brilliant

(half of this is xposted from #archived-cave-of-makers)

#

Oh btw, you should try using old concrete material on those walls, you might like it more

inner valley
#

disagree

#

it's supposed to be more of a textured drywall texture compared to concrete

Thanks!

#

Btw, do you use any plugins for UI design?

inner valley
#

no, though I make UIs unusually

#

I'll send you an example once I get home

inner valley
#

it's made with the way i make UIs

#

so you can see everything used in it

I think I may be blind.

just use an eyedropper tool

pausing as i have nothing to do until cleric gets his ass over here and starts programming salute

#

it would certainly make us stand out

I actually understand UI with this example

#

@inner valley im still trying to learn how to make UI stay in the same position for all screens

#

like how do you do that

#

my UI always manages to come out crooked

inner valley

let's move to #1101168449855684678

#

Seems pretty damn good and If you ask me this could inspire many

inner valley
#

yes

paper pawn
#

You made that?

#

One second might aswell test it out

inner valley
#

yup

paper pawn
#

god damn you're good with UIs

inner valley
#

yeah

paper pawn
#

If you add some images , details and stuff to this

#

This is both perfect and inspiring

inner valley
#

added more spice to these

#

these doors are also adapt to different sizes

inner valley

# inner valley

Looks great, but you could try to make those colors fit more

#

I mean like,

#

the stripes look too dark

#

compared to the background

inner valley
paper pawn
#

Oh yeah it kind of is

inner valley
#

wait by stripes do you mean the door

#

that's a lighting thing

#

it's actually a wave

paper pawn
#

I am honestly dumb

#

Nevermind, overall it's really fine, good work

@inner valley Remember the underwater airlock or something you made?

#

Was that the room moving down?

#

because I can't think of any other ways to make terrain water rise
