Thanks, masterpiece that solved one of my issues, I have no idea how, but before, parts that weren’t pre-loaded would not get attributed the Lens Flare, so if I spawned a car, the neon parts in the base model would have a lens flare, but the neon lights would not. And this version fixed that issue. Greatly appreciate it!

for complex models yes, it is easier, but poly modelling allows you to have total control over optimization and other parameters
Yes but you don't really care about optimization in cad, if you want cad for games its a long process
Cad is sometimes used for weapons since its easier but the process of turning it into game ready models is way longer including using zbrush for smoothing and possibly retopo or doing retopo by hand or in other software, pixyz could also be used for importing cad into poly
Plasticity does have some poly export functions unlike fusion

the new one is not done with texturing yet, materials are somewhat done but not decals/normals
perhaps some other types of warning labels? only those kinda feels bland

If the script is on Workspace and you assume the coin is the script’s parent, then it will assume the coin is Workspace which is incorrect
Oh and if you make each coin have the exact same player added event, and the touched event has no debounce (bassically the same script you just shared)

if you look around in any commerical building walls are just that, walls, with a poster, maybe a baseboard and/or a crown molding
well you'd wanna have texture, add maybe like a placeholder poster or something but at the end of the day the player doesn't care for your walls, the lighting makes up for it.

if you want good lighting, choose a system that fits your environment

Tbh I dont see the problem with the color of the tarp, however, im curious as to why its up there in the first place
It would make a little more sense if it was some half ass way to stop a leak, but even then, theres better ways to show that
it seems as if the hallway has been under renovations regarding that tarp and the lights, but there could be some more ways to signify renovations taking place,
some things to consider would be why renovations are being done in the first place
skipping ahead though, thigns such as:
-missing bricks (expanding on the mising bricks, make it look like they took bricks out just to run pipes behind, and they never made it look pretty
-sections of wall missing, as if they were expanded
-markings on wall signifying wiring or utilities behind the wall, measurements, or places that need to be repaired
Also do remember less is more, you can fill up a room with props, but then try to take away what doesnt feel necessary
that annex could have originally not been there, or have been an entirely different room, so maybe you could play on that by making it look like they cut a chunk of the wall out and then built up a frame for the door
lil tip for this as well
if you're going to be putting utilities in that upper area, lower the lights and make them suspended on some steel cables or small frames. If you keep them where they are and put a bunch of utilities up there it could make it seem like the utilities were added after the lights were put in.
If its a heavy containment area for something like creatures or prisoners or what not, you'd want all those vulnerable systems out of reach, perhaps cover them up with some grating as well
oh wow this is a lot, ill definitely take into consideration but for now i really gotta finish the map, it'll be procedurally generated but i need to be extra careful with how stuff tiles
either way im planning to do a redux of sections i deem not taken to their full potential, either after or before the release

i hope you disabled the firewall, WiFi and windows defender while running the drm
I didn't open photoshop for 3 months and then they came knocking, my assumption is something in the firewall was changed in the network protocols. Could have also been a small bit of their geniune service survived somewhere on my SSD and then attacked like the automatons
my method doesn't require that, it just disconnects adobe and their GS from the internet completely
firewall + blocking a couple permissions
on another note we kinda walling this chat with anything but development

theres actually some building advice i could give as well but ill start with the lighting
its a little bright, so you should first lower the brightness, anything below 2 should work
make the angle really high and the range a little low

this is done in substance painter using models from blender, keep in mind no one video will teach you texturing, it may take upwards of hundreds hours to get to this level, but there's a lot you can do just starting off

making something is only half of it, its when you insert it into what it was meant for that makes it really pay off

for the style i just search up references of real ammo crates, crates in general
then associate said references to the texture project
for me if i want to make something look realistic id first think about its use and purpose
something like an ammo crate will have explosive warning markings and UN IATG codes for transportation

use a mask in Photoshop or similar program
you can find a basic wear mask online
and then paint in blacks for the edges to make them look chipped
When you're making worn paint, you have to ask yourself: "why is this worn, where is it located, what is it exposed to"
then look up some real references. in most cases paints are layered up.
Take this image for example. The red blocks with the number 10.
first would be the black paint square, then the red ontop of that, then the white text. Each layer would wear in its own way, including the material. Since this is outdoors it'll probably wear faster, compared to something indoors up on a wall, which would not wear as fast, though it could get dirty and that would slowly discolor it.
what you want to do is make the initial vector design, and add a grunge layer to it
Then subtract the grunge layer

i've been trying to figure out different ways to make my builds more optimized and the context behind this is differentiating materials from the interior to the exterior of a building or room to hallway...
The way im currently doing it is by having, say my wall thicknesses are 1 studs since all my doors are the same thickness, if I have an exterior brick texture, it would be a part that's .5 in width and the interior would also be .5 in width with another texture, such as in the screenshot...
I was wondering if anyone has better methods for this? (assuming you use material varients and not textures)

Another update on Guideline, we have working Linux, Windows, and Android ports. The app runs on 32 Bit, 64 Bit, ARM or otherwise systems.
The UI also scales with display size (which was painful to do). An option to scale personally will be added later.
Since we have very wide support ranges for devices, this device can run on very old devices, for example we made it run on a 13 year old android phone.

@mystic pawn i have a hexagon mesh that's rigged with like 10 bones. you can do something similar and see if you can bake the topology. it'll be the best way to do it
