#Easy ways for colonists to get in/out of colony?

i see, i thought maybe someone had some ingenius solution, i might just make them back in the colony then cuz they take half a day to go in/out xD, i read on a guide somewhere to put them outside to save space but its not efficient right now. thanks
if you isolate the colonist from the rest of the world (bed, food shop, crate and toolbox) they can live comfortably in the unsafe zone
I may be not fully grasping it but wouldn’t the zombies murder them? Or are they somehow not a target anymore if outside the colony?
if they are completely isolated from the flag yes
zombies only spawn in spots from which they can access the flag
Interesting, thank you. For now i just went with the usual tower food production blocks but it may but something I try in the future 🙂
Like a castle/city with little farms and plantations outside the city walls would be cool I think
The funny thing is, there is a door block later on that would be literally perfect for this purpose, except the dev decided no... not happening
zombies can go through doors too which peeves me
i havent even unlocked doors yet lol, i guess they feel it may lessen the threat/point of the game for the colonists if they can easily go outside. Another question if youd be so kind, so i dont make another post lol, for the ores and things unaccessible in your colony, are you meant to make a new one under the snow mountains etc, ive never had more than 1 colony so im confused on how it works. How can i run my own colony if im a hundred blocks away in a new one? just wondering 🙂 tin and gold are becoming very expensive, im still early game, threat level 220 i think.

I see, thanks for your info, I was thinking hopefully if I only do a small colony far away they won’t have shared threat levels and I could keep it 0 threat, and just have it for mining those ores and stuff from other biomes. No idea if it’ll work but maybe

and i doubt youre far enough to start another colony
Well at which point are u thinking? My main bottleneck is tin/gold, how many colonists do you count as “far enough”?
