I prepared an entire castle (few hours of work) that was impossible to get through but the monsters almost aren't even coming there. So the main question how exactly does this thing works?

Is your threat at 0?

How many colonists do you have, cause at the start you have a period where colonists don't add to threat

If not check there's an entrance to the castle (otherwise you enter siege mode and you lose food)

did you solve it? I saw that a threat banner should deflect the attacks on an outpost so they can be safe. The attacks should go to your main base if all works well.... Let us know mate! 😉

Sorry for not replying i forgor i posted it here. My threat level is like at 400 and i dont have siege mode activated.

I think i figured how they work. After placing like 5 of them the threat level dropped in my main colony and massively increased in the castle.
