Lemons 🍋 float in water but limes 🍋🟩 sink
Bob Scott holds the record for the highest finish rate in Formula 1, having finished 167% of his races
sometimes the skin on the bottom of astronauts feet comes off
That if you throw boiling hot water in -40 degree weather, it will evaporate immediately.
You can't name a folder or file "con" on windows.
WAIT I LITERALLY DISCOVERED THAT YESTERDAY
im doing a coding project and needed to restrict certain names for file name inputs
That's a crazy coincidence!
If you guys wanna know why you can't call it "con", it's because the OS uses that specific keyword for "connections" with the hardware of the device. With how the file system operates, it needs to reserve some folder names for quick access (you KNOW how long it takes for the file lookup system to find a file).
Milky Bars (the chocolate bar) will float if its made in Europe. American Milky Bars sink
there is a species of monkey in brasil popular named as: "macaco ingles" which literally translates to "british monkey"
And this is what it looks like:
around 10% of lgbtq identified people, and ~20% of trans people, in Canada pre-2021 experienced conversion therapy in some form, with over 70% being before the age of 20. not a very fun fact, but interesting(concerning?) nonetheless.
if u want to melt snow on a stovetop, add a bit of water to it first to make it slush. if you don’t, the snow will burn!!

There are two different species of squid called “giant squid”, one is assumed to be longer but lighter while the other is likely heavier and has an estimated shorter total length.
I never formally studied marine biology. I promise.
(Architeuthis dux and Mesonychoteuthis hamiltoni, if you want to look up the species)
coincidentally i found this out like two seconds ago: the name for the color orange is pretty new, relative to other basic colors like red and yellow
ig technically the snow isn’t burning, the bottom of the pot is, but it gives the aura of burning (and also does scorch your snow and leave a burnt flavor) because snow is a very poor conductor so instead of the heat from whatever the source is under the pot melting the snow it just starts burning the pot. like essentially if u didn’t have snow in it at all! it’s bad for your pot and doesn’t melt your snow so u surround it with enough water(which is a much better conductor) and then your snow all becomes water yippee!! learned this from nearly burning snow in the backcountry 😭
