Major Bug with picking items up and returning to your body after death

i have created two accounts so far and both are doing the same thing any items on the ground im unable to pick them up unless i press c and pick them up from that menu. and when you die im unable to return to my body no matter where i mover the mouse curser around the body it does not highlight and let me click on it.. the same is happing with items set in the scene that i should be able to interact with.. please help
