Reason: Is waiting fun? Was waiting ever fun? Does waiting add to the mechanic?

Additional Context: Do you want to sell upgrade time skippers? Do you believe waiting is a fun mechanic. Do you anticipate players starting an upgrade, closing the game, and coming back the next day?

Has anyone ever ordered Fast-food and upgraded their order to be extra large only for the software to tell the customer that the upgrade needs more time. and to come back in 20 minutes when the enlargening of said Fast-food is completed?
Have you ever considered ordering a better tool only for Amazon to tell you that your upgrade needs a minimum of 2 days worktime?
I haven't. amazon takes my money and says "its on its way"
Mc Donald's takes my money and says "do you want to buy more, maybe an extra fries and cola?"

Everyone takes my money and wants me to come back and buy more. In order for me to come back they offer a great and fast service.
Who wants my money and introduces problems only for them to sell me the solution? Softwaredevs.

Here is limited space for your items. but you can buy more space. want another stashpage? thats right. please 1$
Here is a arbitrarily generated time gate. want to skip it? please 1$.

What is accomplished by making the player wait? Close the game and maybe start another game and lose interest in GDR ?

I have seen too many games making me wait. for no other reason as to sell me skips.

I have limited time.

This game is not for me.

Since this game is going to be F2P, I think he sees the monetization mechanic that will show itself upon game release. Our wait times during alpha are rather small, but I can imagine what he's talking about where it's increased after release and time skips are sold. It's a rather valid point honestly.
