Mirror/Examples/Discovery
Server starts, player hosts, and then a client should see them in the list (give it a few seconds to locate)
@rough ridge
Just tested and confirmed it all still works as expected.
2 editors open (via parellsync)
One i click host in discovery example
The other clicks Find Servers, and joins the Ip that appears.
Alright, thats perfect then. Where do I get Parellsync ? is it third party or
https://github.com/VeriorPies/ParrelSync
You can use 2 regular 2 editors, 1 editor and 1 build, or 2 builds.
Parelly sync just creates an automatic editor clone, so you dont need to update 2 project folders. Completely optional, but very handy.
Ah, I think I noticed what the problem is. Its where I have an Offline Scene and I cannot connect to the server as a client in that offline scene because its blocked, do I just remove the offline scene from the network manager or?
Oh your using edgegap.
Wait, network discovery?
What are you doing XD lol
Your using edgegap for the relay?
So you are not needing network discovery.
Oh yeah no I have two, one scene with edgegaps matchmaker and then another using mirror discovery which I use for my network logic testing, since edgegap is something I’m doing later on
I’m just using Network Discovery for now, since I haven’t fully finished integrating the matchmaker for Edgegap
wasn’t aware I had to swap out the transport
