Downsized from the Iqunix ZX-1 Water Cooled to the Velka 3 rev 3.0.

CPU: Ryzen 9 5900x
CPU Cooler: AXP-90-X36 w/ NF A9x14 fan
GPU: Zotac Solo RTX 4060 8GB
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x16gb 3600
Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix B550-I Gaming
Storage: WD_Black SN850X 2TB
PSU: ENP-7660B from Velkase
Extra Fans: NF-A4x10 (x2)
Case: Velka 3 rev 3.0

Throwing in the 2 Noctua fans reduced the temps by about 6C.
Added a stronger undervolt and played with the PBO settings a bit more for the 5900x and been able to control the temps really well.
At idle CPU temps hover around 55C.
At 100% load temps are around 80C.
Running 30 minutes of Cinebench r23 the max temp I saw was 83.5C

Cinebench r23 Scores:
Multi-Core: 18779
Single Core: 1572
Only about a 13% performance loss from when I was using the 240mm AIO.

@rigid moon @rain minnow initially temps were a little high for the 5900x, i forget who did it but i saw someone also add fans like this on reddit and figured id overnight some to try it. lowered my cpu temps by about 6°C. its gen 4 ssd but the fans aren’t there for that

Nice build! What is the purpose of the small Noctua fans, and would I need these if I was to build in the Velka 3?

the fans just add some more airflow to help cool the cpu. i wasnt sure if it would work, but they fit so i figured i'd throw them in and see the results. they do in fact help quite a bit. If you use something like 5600x or 5700x that runs cooler you probably wont need them

alot of motherboard had tall features around the CPU area in additional to the Ram which have caused obstruction of airflow for such low profile cooler. having additional fans will help.

i got my 4060 in and it doesnt seem too bad. Its not in the case I plan to build yet but I have it at about 50% fan speed. You might have a bad bearing or something

what did this end up running you?

i spent a day and undervolted it quite a bit. limited fan to 48% cause anything above that was when the fan started to be high pitched. 48% and the undervolt keeps temps under 70°c while gaming so i’m fine with it.

i reused a a lot of parts. but before tax gpu is $300, case $160, psu $130, riser cable $90. so a little over $700. but i’m making it all back selling my old setup

Yeah thats what I was noticing as well. Anything over 50 and it starts going wild.
