or maybe Andretti would buy Renault engines, but then you're back to them just being another backmarker
That's why F1 pushed them out of 2026 entry
FOM wants Andretti to be in the sport by 2028 which is when Cadillac is also expected to have an engine ready
I think rejecting Andretti in order to stall long enough to raise the anti-dilution fee in the next Concorde Agreement is bullshit
rejecting Andretti because the Cadillac engines aren't ready is not bullshit at all
iirc, the FIA had no interest in allowing another team that would just fight it out with the other tractors. It's a sport, but it's also entertainment so I guess I can understand their POV
yeah but at the same time it's requiring them to go through the development process without a 100% guarantee that they will be able to join after all that
well and small backmarkers are also a poor business decision
as strong as Andretti's bid may appear, they don't want to bring in a new team only for them it to go bust like Manor
or Caterham or one of the Lotuses or whichever, which also went down without finding a buyer
If the 2025 Sauber car is green, can we call the #27 the 'Hulk Machine' ??
Bro's already flipping burgers he is COOKED

Zhou’s got beef
that's just naming rights, the team is actually Bykolles
and the Vanwall racing name is also shared with some other team
back in 2022 there was a trouble for a Bykolles-Vanwall entry because of that other team prohibiting its use until they settled on something
Sainz if he doesn't get a seat at Merc / RB
I think Toto will give the seat to Antonelli though
And RB depends on Perez and Max
Hmm. If Max wants to join Merc, Toto might let go of Antonelli
I don't think Max is going anywhere
I've seen rumours of 150mil per year offer for Max
Max meeting up with Merc is a fact though, it's all over the news. Doesn't mean that anything comes out of it
seeing O’Ward out there
doubt he has any shots at F1 now that McLaren has two good drivers again
McLaren got a new sponsor right?
Honda made changes to the engine and powertrain back in the Winter break of 2023-2024. They're allowed to do this, and increase reliability of the engine, but not power
Honda was surprised at how wild the changes were once the RB20 was fully revealed
Mate I was also surprised
Everyone was
It was a bet on a very experimental platform rather than a safe bet, nobody knew if this new concept would actually work but it does
that helps extend the performance lead for RBR for a couple more years now
If I had a nickel for every time Nico Hulkenberg joined Sauber on the same year Hamilton moved to a different team, I'd have 2 nickels
and both happen 1 year before a major regulations change
🚨 | Mercedes have an upgrade package ready for the Miami GP.
However, there is no guarantee they will work:
https://lastwordonsports.com/motorsports/2024/04/28/why-mercedes-upgrades-carry-huge-uncertainty/
lmao
Mercedes about to become the new Williams?
Fondly remembering their glory days
While they fight to stay in the top 10
Never because Mercedes has money
Newey doesn't support the rookie of the year
Audi can also afford him
Adrian Newey’s #F1 departure from Red Bull is expected to be imminent, with sources suggesting an announcement could come ahead of the #MiamiGP 👀
FULL STORY: https://t.co/WIXsSltrXJ
was listening to Shift F1 this morning and yeah apparently Ferrari is the only credible option to him
at least, I believe their synopses
evidently Newey doesn't think much of Toto and doesn't believe at his age that trying to turn around Merc is a good use of time
he gets along great with Zak but thinks McLaren doesn't have their shit together either
and thinks the Strolls are gauche, doesn't want to pump up Aston Martin's value only for Lawrence "Corporate Turnaround" Stroll to sell off the whole thing
and ofc no other teams have the budget or personnel to cobble together a championship-winning car even if they could afford Newey
so that kinda just leaves Ferrari
wow
could've told you it'd be mostly red
but why is every blue element a different shade
the HP logo does it no favors either
Ferrari pulled a Ferrari and tried to appease their new partner while also trying to lean into an obscure part of their heritage, resulting in a design that captured neither and looks generally mid
Can’t say that it looks absolutely awful though
✨ performance✨
McLaren think they in the team
it's very funny that people are just skipping over Audi's potential to hold Adrian Newey
I think for immediate success, Ferrari is the best bet
Audi is too soon. They will need another reg before they are competitive
Honda says everything's going as it's intended. Currently they're focusing on the electrical components like battery and electric motor design, and the engine's current state is down to a single cylinder concept
This is different to RBPT's current plan as the folks at RBR already developed a function V6 before looking at how they'll tackle the electrical systems
I feel like what Honda's plans are for the F1 PU are a good idea since a lot of the issues relating to the 2026 engine rules comes down to how capable the electrical components
It's already been clear that the Honda PU in the current regulations tops the charts because it has such a robust electrical system, so keeping up with the technology will only strengthen your entry into the 2026 rules
Plus the designers for Honda engines will likely have it all under control if the timeline isn't rushed — something that shot Honda in the foot when partnering with McLaren back in 2015–2017
Honda looks legit, ngl
I was always wondering how RB pulled off RB Powertrains but looking at the wiki article, Honda really never left F1
The company was formed in 2021 to take over the operation of Formula One power units developed by Honda from 2022 onwards following the Japanese manufacturer's withdrawal from the sport after 2021. Honda continued to support the Red Bull-owned teams in 2022 and will do so until the end of 2025.[4][5][6] Honda assembles the power units and provides trackside and race operation support. The power units remain Honda's intellectual property, and due to a development freeze, Red Bull Powertrains will not develop them.[7][8]
even after 21 the rb cars still had a small hrc or honda logo on them
Yeah I knew that. I always wondered how much of the Honda operation RB took over
Like how much personnel and so on
But IP is all Honda and they still design and manufacture it in Japan. So what does RB Powertrains really do
Maintenance and installing in the car?
RBPT is responsible for the operations really, and the facilities in the UK for that operation of the engine were sold off as well as some UK design facilities
the design facilities have helped RBPT prepare for 2026, and they've expanded upon them
Adrian Newey has ruled out any interest in going to Aston Martin, Autosport understands 🚫
Ferrari does remain an option – with it suggested that team principal Fred Vasseur met privately with the famed #F1 designer on Tuesday.
While no deal is in place yet, negotiations are likely to continue as Vasseur makes a personal push to try to convin...
...[Convince] Newey to join him in time for Lewis Hamilton’s arrival.
The timing of Newey’s availability is not perfect in terms of hitting the ground running with the new 2026 car rules, as much of the design concepts will already be in place by the time he can provide his input.
However, it still comes early enough for Newey’s influence to be felt and potentially have an impact in how things shake up for F1’s new rules era.
I still think Audi has the money and influence to support a Newey presence
It's like the only competitor to a Ferrari bid
And they only did that because honda went "Welp, we quitting F1 forever, good luck."
Bet horny was hopping mad when they changed their mind way too late to re-sign with RBR for 2026
Nah he was just like "screw you, we've decided to be independent" and the decision held especially as RBR was dealing with Porsche deals
On the idea of Tsunoda being put into Aston Martin:
"We still don't know what Aston Martin's line-up will be like," Watanabe weighed in. "Alonso has been confirmed, but I have not yet heard that Stroll has been confirmed.
"I don't think there is a zero chance of that happening, so I think there is a possibility of that happening at this point."
Never expected Yuki to go to the RBR team because he's Honda's man, not redbull's
Andretti recently got 12 members of congress (out of the 535 of them) onto Liberty Media to question why exactly the team was rejected a 2026 entry
Albon WDC subscribe
I would love if Albon became WDC
Wow toto looks so ragged these days
also some photographers love blasting the exposure which generally makes everyone look like that
is this a race weekend?
Chatted to Williams boss James Vowles, he says Kimi Antonelli won’t be in the car in Imola. The team are talking to four or five drivers about a race seat for next year - but he’s not in a rush to decide. Says any deal would be two years, for 2025 and 2026. #F1
Adrian Newey looks to be interested in taking a hiatus from F1 for a short period
he notes he's in a lucky position to understand that he doesn't need to work to live, so he's currently without a plan and considering going and having some personal time away from the sport
he still has interest in racing, but right now looks to be a moment where he can just stand back and enjoy something else
Schumacher v2
doesnt that make Vettel the only driver that has driven in a RB, Ferrari and Mercedes car
Wow, Ferrari couldn't overtake a toro rosso
There's no torro rosso
but there is a toro rosso
Hülkengoat in Q3
Checo almost insta fired for bowling Max
Go Piastri though, way to capitalize!!
Hulk pushing Hamilton around was funny too
mercedes getting overtaken by an Haas
tbh
YEAHHH PIASTRI

ham prob saw the simulator, and realized that they was no redemption arc coming for Mercedes
piastri leading the race
Norris gapping Verstappen? I mean I know his tires are fresher but man, never thought I’d see the day
GO NORRIS GET THAT W
Are you guys ready for God save the King?
fucking finally

Nick Heidfeld is now the driver with most podiums without a win in F1
this also matches the exact same record for Formula E
Man I want Danny ricc back in a real car
I mean, seeing tsunoda performing so well, is kinda concerning
I miss the 2020 leclerc
he is still performing well
but he used to be much better
They need to drop stroll
I really don't like the new cars now lol, it is somehow worse
they physically can't, it is daddy's money keeping him on the team
That's why it's so frustrating tbh
It's like, if red bull have to keep Logan Sargent or latifi
For anyone who missed it:
A report came out that the RBR was damaged and had a hole in the floor, which explains why Verstappen was so down on pace even on the hard tires. This hole most definitely came from him mistakenly going wide and over the bollard -- likely using the lower base to create the hole.
So while it's still clear that the RB20 was the faster car that weekend, Verstappen ultimately handed the win to Lando Norris based on skill issue
Oh man… Max memes are going to be insufferable this season
I need to get the slowmo clip of him running over the bollard so I can caption it with Skill Issue
Please don’t. But if you do keep it to #1194707215249064058
Won’t happen as long as his dad still owns AM. Maybe if he manages to sell parts of it and the investor demands he drops his son. AM isn’t doing to well rn, sales are down
I know we're still celebrating Lando's first win but also
Tsunoda put a VCARB ahead of Alonso and Russell for a P7 finish
and Ocon managed to score the first point for Alpine this season
Did a commentator just leak the Antonelli-Williams transfer?
I kinda have a feeling that current cars are actually quite shit to drive, like even compared to 2021 and 2020 ones
They're actually not that bad, but teams are trying to get the rear grip down and consistent to race with
Maybe because I basically skipped half of 2022 and the whole 2023 season, it looks very sluggish and heavy
It's clear the cars are slower than what was possible in 2020-2021, but that's primarily because they're still learning the ropes of the new regulations
It just so happens the best guy to pick for F1 involvement would be the guy who happens to know ground effect aerodynamics really well and how to mess with it for maximized performance
MVP
still not as good as Russell's Top 5 consecutive finishes covering 16 whole ass races
HYPETRAIN
Which 12:00
I doubt it'll happen
Newey's been pretty interested in not being involved in anything right now
unless he's securing a position for a little while later into the 2026 regs
like 2027 or 2028 entry
50s were wild, 60s feels like more legit record
in modern F1 history, Jacques Villeneuve and Kevin Magnussen got P2 in their first races ever
Hamilton got P3 in his first race
Jean Alesi and Johnny Herbert got P4s
I'm waiting for the era of the rookie who'll win the championship first try
Webber and Felipe Nasr got P5s in their first races
here's how De Vries is doing in Formula E
It's sad, Mercedes sold the team to McLaren I think
He did ok in FIA WEC with Toyota so far this year, though its more of a team effort
and also endurance racing is less about pace and more about... endurance
stop reminding me of verstoppens significant dominance
He's not that far ahead of leclerc t ho
It's not too bad
i guess
It's closer than I thought tbh
Maybe it's unrelated but I want to go karting so bad lmaoo
Me tooooo
Wtf is RBR cooking
Lance's reserve driver. Neat.
Still feels like they have to shrink down the size tbh
Very popular opinion
Even 2020's cars are better lmaoo
Overtaking and agility on thinner tracks suffers with both
I'd get better results from a crystal ball than free practice sessions
I know, but it's just funny
Tsunoda randomly enters his F2 driving capabilities and then reverts back to not caring about F1
Vcarb is flying
Max is a monster
just put a halo on a v8/v10 era car and call it a day

Checo didn't fight much to hold back Lando
I'm glazing Tsunoda today
I can feel a P9 finish today
oh he's in P8
wouldn't it be funny if he has to fight Perez for P8 in the final laps and he secures RBR seat because of it
He left the door wide open for Ham too
Perez v Tsunoda for P8
please do something funny and race each other 🙏
not enough pace for a fight
RBR car isn’t as dominant anymore but Max is crazy
yeah this new design isn't making enough of a performance advancement to keep RBR as strong as they once were
and other teams are now figuring out new ways to tackle this whole regulations
2025 might present our most entertaining year, maybe
Lando is pushing so hard
he needs to be careful
No, go for no1 spot or stay eternal no2
Push and take risks
Someone please tell Lando to push more at T9. I see room for improvement
bro took too much of a risk
scrubbed out the hards
headass
3 laps to go
he needs to make up 3 tenths this lap
or it's over
Battery is almost empty for Verstappen
Norris hasn't used much of his
Norris wide
god damn he keeps pushing it too hard this guy
2 laps and out of DRS range
lost all that time gained
And then gained it back naaahhh
DRS range and one lap to go
Norris own skill issue going too hard got him out of the win
it was the last stop
Falling behind Checo
That cost him at least 1s
nah he had the capabilities to make the pace up in these final few laps
bro just made too many mistakes that cut a couple tenths here and there
and also scrubbed out the grip of his hards
He was pushing like crazy. That was all he could do
he was pushing yeah, but not well enough to challenge Verstappen
simply a skill issue at that point
that's what makes a good driver, being able to keep up at the absolute limits without going too overboard to kill your tires or go over the traction limit and having to correct oversteer that kills time :V
it's only something Lando can look at and just
learn from
¯_(ツ)_/¯
F1 is always a combination of strat, car and driver. How are you going to judge one factor if it's this close? He did all he could. You can always say "drive faster" but that's all he was capable of. It's clear that mclaren was planning to have Lando out before Checo and that didn't happen. This is easier to fix than making Lando drive faster
I'm not saying drive faster, silly
I'm saying Lando was under pressure and wasn't able to keep the car under control for several moments
Lando wasn't driving smarter !!
But that is just one part of the equation. The car could've been a second faster over the stint, the strat could've been better timed. You can't put all of it on the driver when it's all three that makes a driver win the race. They didn't race on equal term, the cars aren't completely equal, there was traffic and Lando started the race at P2. Under pressure, everyone is prone to make mistakes. Even Max had a few bad exits and got a flag for track limits.
We he didn't. That's all he could muster
I'm not saying that Lando drove better
But hindsight it would've been easier to let him pit 1 lap later
He could do better by not making mistakes like that under pressure and it's only something he can learn from really
I mean he's capable of consistent af and holding strong pace
Miami proves such
pressure makes diamonds, basically, and this race will only create a better Lando even if he didn't win
these mistakes cost him the win because he had all the cards lined up and made minor errors trying to keep up while under pressure, but that only means he'll come back smarter for the next time this happens
Norris can beat perez 100%
Wow, what a close race. I just watched the replay and I was on the edge of my seat for the last 10 laps. LFG McLaren!!
it was a snoozer until (almost) the end
just finished as well
not if you take a shower and do laundry during the race like I did
F1 is like that normally
very rarely will you have a race where the top 2 are fighting for the entirety of it, best case scenario they'll actually help each other out with a tow in order to get away from the pack before fighting at the end
only way to make things higher stakes is to lower the amount of time they can compete and find a nice balance of having to conserve yourself and push yourself
that is unless you want to bite into the fruit that all other open-wheel series have which is to go spec
Rolling into another race week 😏
Can’t say I agree with that. Piastri in B tier? Hamilton (washed-up-on-the) Beach in A tier? Tf is this guy smoking
Hamilton has made decent recoveries
I think his qualifying ability is starting lack, and so I'd personally put him at A as well
Russell down into B since he hasn't show his ability to do something as good as his 2022 season and often finds himself finishing behind Hamilton now
Piastri I'd move up a place
I'd also move Perez up because he still maintains pace in the higher points area, and that's where the team would want him, but there are now some possible options that could prove better than Perez
also move Magnussen down
isn't russell higher up in the championship standings
also el padre should obviously be in S tier
yhea Russel has actually done better than Ham in the last races besides Emilia Romagna
but Ham car is also weird
It's May and we're already talking about battle for 2nd 😭
I think Mclaren had made up most of the gap to RBR but we'll have to see how close they can get on a track that's favourable to RBR. Perez underperforming might help the runner-up with the right strat
We'll see. Max still is the favourite to win ofc
But next season it's closer hopefully
Yes, VCARB is still registered as Italian
Anyways VCARB are looking at how they can improve their race starts since this race highlighted how they eventually got caught up behind Nico Hulkenberg and had to run a long stint by pitting before him
creating a very risky but doable last 15 laps where both Ric and Tsu had to manage tires
General media still doesn't seem to be into the prospect that Yuki Tsunoda is of worth to VCARB or RBR despite many recent comments congratulating his driving ability and his status of holding 15 out of the 20 points VCARB currently has
8/10 of the points positions are basically guaranteed every race so finishing 4/7 races so far in the points is yuge
makes sense I guess
I'm sure Albon doesn't want to be there either, but it's the best open option
Sauber doesnt seem very competitive rn
Audi is a gamble and probably won't have a massive turnaround from where Sauber currently is
I wonder if they gave up these regs already and went full steam ahead with next regs
Fernando will probably have to retire for Aston to open up
Haas doesn't have the investment/facilities to ever truly compete
Red Bull probably doesn't want to have Sainz back and the Red Bull / RB program already has 5 drivers competing for 4 seats
Can't believe Carlos Sainz main rival in F1 is this guy
Haters: "You are the joke checo"

Russel was sandbagging in practice
piastri
Tsunoda starting P8 as God intended
Also y'all telling me this is the guy that's more likely to get an RBR seat over Tsunoda?
wonder if leclerc can win

holy shit
wtf happened
kmag bruh
wonder he will get penalty points and be the first driver to get a race ban
Would be funny
I walked away, and I'm seeing this and the cars are in the pit
5 cars most likely out and we haven't even completed 3 laps 😭
you missed the brutal accident
damn
It’s first lap, why would you walk away during the first lap frère
I had to do stuff that couldn't wait
its funny zhou got overtaken by the safety car

as an amateur, it looked like Checo was too slow and surprised K mag who couldn't break fast enough
Monaco is one of those circuit that make you realize how good the drivers are
Big tactic talk in radio
I need Tsunoda to finish somewhere far ahead because it would be funny
ngl, the most exciting thing about Monaco is seeing the cars getting close to crashing, but the race itself isn't all that interesting if everyone drive well
Yeah rn it's waiting for the pit stop strategies to take place
Pit stop time finally?
Ham is driving for dear life
Tsunoda being allowed to drive like a madman now that's what I want to hear 🙏

i think… it was boring…
What a race. One of the best Monaco races in a while. Minimal passing (aside from Bottas’ goated pass on Sargeant) but still amusing due to all the potential strategy implications and close racing between the two Leclercs
something tells me the meme recap for monaco is gonna be entertaining to say the least
meh its a very boring race
would making the cars smaller/doing weather manipulation to make it rain every year help
Also lap 1 crash and no tyre deg meant no pit stops
smaller cars would be the only way to go
russell fighting for his life on 75 lap mediums..
the idea of removing the chicane after tunnel and making that spot a DRS zone wouldn't be sufficient enough
it seems rly hard/dangerous to pass
basically why it's so easy to defend
cos then u just get perezed
that's why making smaller cars will be better
not only on Monaco but also for literally any circuit
Yeah, Formula E and F3 raced a lot better in Monaco
They have smaller cars
But also a lot less differences in the car as its the same chassis
That's a thing that Formula 1 suffers from just outright
i wanna see a swerve drive car but i know it probably wont happen soon
A what
https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1143290_ford-would-welcome-gm-as-f1-rival-says-performance-chief
Mercedes fall-off needs to be studied
what's at least a good thing is the fact that the top 3 are closer together now
and the midfield has gained one extra member through the rise of RB
Tbf Mercedes didn’t fall off but the rest closed the gap to RBR better. I think that Mercedes somehow still don’t truly understand the aero. Same goes for AMR and they both share the same wind tunnel. Maybe something fishy is going on here
da design of da wind tunnelu matters a lot tbh
Yeah which is why this was one of the reasons suggested for the lacking performance of both AMR and Merc
It’s insane to think that they managed to win a race just a few years ago
Thanks to alonso defending against Ham
Without that, the computers said that Ham was 100% going to win the race based on his pace
I think alonso just makes tractors faster
They removed the comments 💀
Surprising for someone in a redbull who's 5th in the WDC standings
I love checo, but I don't get it why they kept him
oh well, good for him
Redbull is very poor team and Checo sells much merch
RB is toxic tbh
is RB even going to be a team after everyone leaves
Why would everyone leave RB, RBR is the one with horny horner
isnt newey leaving
and the old guy
and max also because he likes the old guy
like the old guy who says all the racist stuff about perez
Helmut Marko
Good Austrian lad
Max isn't leaving, he has made a statement saying he wouldn't leave since the team is where he wants it to be
Marko has also made no mention of leaving, he's mostly just kept to himself but still on the team's support
You're thinking of the RBR team, not RB
regular RB is alright I guess
¯_(ツ)_/¯
not much to say about VCARB beyond the fact that they're mid
I guess you could argue they should be dropping Ricciardo for Lawson, RB is not living up to the purpose of being an RBR junior team
Yeah but, horny horner is protecting ric
but also they're considered an independent team by all accounts, and so the decision to keep Ricciardo is up to them
I gave up trying to care
i didnt look
what do u think it was tho
idk I didn't care in the first place
the evidence that was provided was sloppy, no one had initial confirmation of what exactly happened
all I remember is the team was considering suspending Horner for a while due to some aggressive action that could've either been related to SA, but could've also been related to harsh standards and goals, and many of the RBR team members came about saying they had no clue what even the media was saying
it's just a mess, and ultimately nothing really came up besides some people saying there was a power struggle at RBR as the main issue
Newey's leave in the ongoing 'situation' is mainly on the fact that Newey no longer enjoys the team dynamic at play and he also made a statement in an interview with Motorsport.com that he really needs to take a break cause he's in such a fortunate position to no longer need to work
of course he then went on to say he could join another F1 team as early as 2026, but the contracts for him haven't been signed and there's still room for him to be on hiatus as an engineer for 1-2 years at the least
New cars about to look like the old cars?
If by same you mean very different then yeah
I mean visually it looks like the cars from the previous era (not the current one)
Visually simpler
I just wish they did gearbox mounted rear wings
While Tsunoda said he was "not in a rush" to get promoted and was happy enough to stay put for the time being, he also wanted to see "more commitment from Red Bull regarding his future options.
[...]
"Obviously I'm already committed with Red Bull a lot and hopefully I can have a bit more commitment from them."
"I just have to grow more and at the same time, hopefully, Red Bull will understand more or see more of my progress and my potential performance and maybe [it] can change in the future."
Reports say the forecast for Canadian Grand Prix will have rain, but something tells me it won't happen
prediction for Montreal doesn't seem to show any important signs of rain tomorrow during Qualifying
this was the outlook for today
it could happen if the region moves, but /shrug
here's how it connects to SPC's predicition of tomorrow
Please rain please rain please rain
Tsunoda pole position I pray 🙏
ye, the car was flying
he knew
Jesus, that tow from albon was insane
Lol at Ferrari being knocked out in Q2 because saving fresh softs for Q3
kmag on a easy lobby
Magnussen running in a bot lobby

Haas best strat ?
when Ferrari customer team is beating Ferrari
looking at how the cars behave, intermediate-tyres seem like a bad bet
but I can't imagine that everyone but Haas is stoopid
or are they ?
RIP Logan ran into a wall
"How much am I losing on the straight?"
"A lot"
- Ferrari strategist
impressive how they find something to fuck up when they find a smart play
a 3-way fight for the win would be fun
verstapen getting overtaken ? when the car isn't faulty
?
both of them coming out of the dry line to defend
George lost his nerve
NOT SARGEANT AGAIN
yes
rain makes for a good race
ALBON
What a spicy race. Probably the most existing race of this season so far
mb abu dhabi can do a 2021 and norris/leclerc get a surprise championship
Kevin Magnussen for 8 laps of the Canadian Grand Prix
(making a change cause Hass strategy fucked him over)
Fun Fact: The grid buildup and overall theme for F1's Sprint racing is actually older than the F1 Sprint format
Plays during Sprint Shootout and Sprint starting grid commentary. Used in the F1 2020 game as the credits theme.
Art credit: https://gustavofernandesdesign.com/F1-Sprint
The comments in the video will already tell you about how it was originally used for the end credits of F1 2020
These are the credits for the Formula 1 2020 game.
"In memory of Stirling Moss"
They seem to have gone with most of the official commentators like David Croft (English), Olav Mol (dutch).
Weirdly enough Tiametmarduk (Ben Daly) is included in the Voice Over part of the credits (TANNOY VO)

Including today, we now have 375 days to go until this movie releases
Max Verstappen has the zoomies
this is wrong and funny in so many levels
I thought he was banned from F1
(alpine suddenly starts doing really well)
probably won't happen, alpine is a fucking joke
Briatore was banned by governing body the FIA from its events indefinitely after he was found guilty of orchestrating the incident.
He has always denied involvement - and in 2010, France's high court overturned that ban.
Très génial
More controversy for Alpine is now the norm
What a spicy quali, gotta love the Lando pole
Carlos doesn't want to pull a Charles
real winners win away from home
Slowed dramatically by sector 3
Is this yaoi?
dae alonso looks kinda like robert downey jr
I see it
the new ferrari aero improvement was to make the car twerk to distract the attacking driver
Let's go Lando!
sick move
by Max?
hopefully lawrence stroll drugged the rb pitstop team so el padre can get the win
Mercedes F
Trying to beat the allegation that Georges is getting favoritism
What are McLaren's plans?
I don't get it
Man won't Lando ruin his tyres overtaking everyone in front of him?
finally, some good racing
verstappen domination arc
Race was lost at the start, Max is also just a really good driver
It wasn’t, there was still a chance after georges fucked up stop. Lando could’ve pitted to come out ahead and would’ve had the same gap to Max as he had when he went softs for the 3rd stint.
Max probably still would’ve won but the strat didn’t work out for McLaren
Looked like lando and legleg stayed on softs so long it slowed em
Yeah. It’s tough to overtake in Barcelona and an undercut would only get Lando in front of George. At that point Max was already 8s clear. I think they gambled on an SC maybe for a free stop and did the overcut. Lando was asked and he himself wanted to risk it.
I don't think McLaren knew what to do at all, so they were just letting Lando strategize
chat is this real
Practice means nothing
I know
verstappen PU shenanigans and half of my school chat malding and half of chat cheering at a potential 10 place grid penalty was fun
sargeant in sq2 and out qualied albon wtf
legleg had car shenanigans and verstappen sprint pole 😔

Work on the Power Unit for Audi’s Formula 1 entry has been underway for more than two years. The specially created Audi Formula Racing GmbH (AFR) in Neuburg a. d. Donau is responsible for the development of the F1 hybrid drive (“Power Unit”) and has successfully completed the set-up phase. Together with the Hinwil facility, the team from Neuburg will form the future factory team with which Audi will compete in the top class in 2026. The Audi F1 Power Unit “Made in Germany” is making great progress behind closed doors.
if audi power unit dominates like 2014 merc it could let hulkenburg finally get a podium
This is like the first time he's had gucci car since Jeddah
sargeant was going to get pole but verstappens engine dying stopped him
brief red flag
I actually like Sargeant and am happy that he gets a small W here and there
Hope this secures him a spot in another racing series
he'll most likely go to indycar, hopefully he will find success there
sargeant doesn't seem to be a bad guy, just bad in driving skills
F1 is hard to succeed in. Top 20 (minus pay drivers) worldwide in this particular racing style and there is a ton of pressure. It didn’t work out in F1 but he can still succeed somewhere else
Lando is quick but race craft Max is just better
magnussen is cooking
magnussen gonna drive like a madman to redeem denmark tmrw
can't crash into hulk, he'll get penalised to oblivion then black flagged before he gets the chance
VAR
var says magnussen gets a 3 race ban for being danish

wtf is legleg doing
poor guy
tocuhed someone, damaged front wing
albon racing leclerc
how the fuck is sargeant 20s off legleg 😭
bro forgot what the fuck a kilometer was 😭
bro's beefing with a Williams in a Ferrari
Oscar the little snitch
RB with great pace today
I wonder if McLaren can do anything with the extra set of mediums
wait piastri leading

This is a race now
Norris might have just bottled that whole race win for that
Bro Lando needs to try it at a different spot
ho ly shit
what a race
RUSSELL WIN
BRUH
fuck
lando dnf
I want piastri to win 😭
max managed to come to the pits in not destroyed car
Russell's 2nd win today
Oh my god Russell you are so caucasian
Bro said yabadabadoo ⚰️⚰️
Hommage to the goat Vettel
nah bruv we getting beaten by a terrorist
😳
I’m excited for the fastest car to be a McLaren this season. I think Lando win #2 and Piastri win 1 will come this season
maybe
Max is keeping RBR at the front for now though
Drives hard af and barely makes a mistake
This is good for Max' legacy btw. People can now appreciate his skill
maintaining like a 10s lead without the dominant car is pretty good
but tbf it does look like red bull gaps the mclaren on straights
Lando had 24km/h surplus on Max on the straights with DRS
Max just saved his power for just the right time
Sector 2 RBR is flying too
ah so its just racecraft
He did get a pen
So what he did was outside of the rules
Lando would've gotten him eventually
mightve been imola round 2
if mclaren keeps this up i genuinely think norris could have a great chance at the championship next year, and with piastri they coud probably get the constructors
we'll see
But McLaren has done a really good job
Phenomenal even
though ferrari are under the leadership of the french there is still italian left in them so they will fuck it up, so mclaren is the only option to challenge red bull
this is specifically in the case of ferrari
they are a unique case where they only do well when they are under the leadership of the French
normally under the leadership of the French you fail, but ferrari is so backasswards that they actually succeed under the leadership of the French
Friendship joever
is teamLH becoming spastic and spamming crashtappen
im not well versed in racing rules to say who's in the fault for this one
@Twittard44 "Max was driving like this all season against Lewis, but now you guys care!"
Max because he got a penalty
yeah that's the only thing I can point to
the stewards were on point today, and there's not much you can argue against them when they hold all the information for this event
not saying it'll hold up for other races, but today in particular is a good day to rely on the stewards
as far as i know there's only one camera angle out rn, and all it looks like is that max turned later than norris and norris was trying to put the pressure on max
badabing badaboom crash
What do you think about Verstappen vs Norris crash?
- Racing incident with unlucky contact
- Verstappen not leaving enough space / crashing into Lando.
#AustrianGP
This one?
yea thats the one i saw
Lando was too skill issued to not crash, max was in his position last year.

Wow, Alonso has twice as many penalty points atm as Max
I love moving under braking, its my favourite skill
worth noting that the rule banning moving under braking was initially brought in bc of Max
Yeah the collision was still Max’ fault but it’s a small error of judgement and hard racing and not being overly malicious. Lando just expected Max to be soft
But Max is always hard
It doesn't ban it, it allows the stewards to take action if they believe it's being used to dangerously push another driver when braking
Or maybe Max expected Lando to take the L and move over
It's happened before that two drivers go into a corner, each unwilling to back off, and consequences ensue
An incident like this teaches Max that Lando might not move over next time either
Respect +1?
I think for me the contact was avoidable, didn't leave a cars width and chose to close the door on him with nowhere to go
the other two times he supposedly moved under braking are meh, the first time you could tell Norris had to avoid it, the second time i think Lando just dive bombed and locked up, maybe there was a hint of no confidence, expecting Max to do it again?
Yeah, not arguing against the fact that Max set up the situation in a way that contact was very likely
Lando did seem to be racing unnecessarily desperately tho
boy needs to keep a clear head
oh yeah definitely, he seemed unncessarily agitated to get past on the same corner
I think he didn't want a repeat of the sprint and get overtaken straight away again
that and probably being hurried to overtake and build a gap in case of penalty
Yeeeah I'm not sure it would have been even possible to make that gap
I think if he got the move done the first time round he could, we've seen how good the McLaren is at building a gap in clean air
after the second and third time, his tires were probably done and not enough laps
well strictly speaking his tires were done after the third time
And his floor and rear wing too
At the end of the day we wouldn't be talking about this if it happened between Logan and Zhou
well Logan is never in a position to overtake
the thing that really annoys me tho is that Max gains from taking Lando out, instead of 7 point difference for finishing 1-2, he gains 10 points on his closest rival :/
Very Schumacher
Yeah, F1 punishes for intention and not outcome (even though outcome does still play a role in many decisions)
The stewards obstinately say that, but we all know that's not true
They should just admit they're influenced by the outcome
Lando Silverstone Grand Slam incoming
we are so back, peak f1
bri*ish analysis of a collision between a British team and driver with not British team and driver
norris in mclaren rocketship vs verstappens skills
tbh as long as norris gets used to performing under pressure he could trade wins with verstappen regularly in the coming races
but max does gap him sometimes due to better management
all of the generational drivers in the more recent lineup have this weird habit of not being able to play with the pressure, it's interesting
Leclerc was our previous guy
now it's Norris
makes me wonder if Russell would suffer the same thing, and it's likely true considering he did that one mistake in Singapore
Max is much more patient, Lando often pushes too hard for grid position and doesn't look at the long game
But Max has more experience challenging for the top too
Russell is a domestic terrorist, he'll explode at any moment
yep the experience gap definitely plays a part
McLaren was like a midfield team a year ago
I'm pretty sure some laws of physics were broken to get McLaren from behind alpine in 2022 to fastest car on the fucking grid now
a year and a bit for that change
tbf RBR development has slowed down a bit. I think the car min maxes some characteristics which makes it super fast but hard to drive
max uses the equivalent of max sens with his mouse set to 32000dpi iirc
yes, it goes to what is theoretically the optimal racing setup and Max Verstappen is the only driver I can say is good enough to make strong use of it
LeGreg is also really good at driving hard cars but his decision making during the race when to push and take risks isn't good
he has to be good enough or he gets left at the gas station
I'd say he's still not as reactive as Max, though
yeah maybe
It's hard to tell from the outside with different cars. But Max is a machine, can't argue against that
it's known that Leclerc prefers his car to warn him with a touch of resistive understeer which is the optimal layout for a large number of drivers including regulars like you and me
if he pushes beyond that resistance, it's easy oversteer
the RBR cars and Max don't like that to happen
it needs to be able to whip into oversteer with no resistance since Max is able to know when that happens really quickly
it's very akin to snap oversteer in a Toyota MR2, you need to have some insane reaction time and knowledge to really catch it
but also Max is good enough to hold it on that line beforehand just by habit
straight meat riding Max rn, but that's why people say he's the best driver in F1 currently
I say we get everyone in a mcl38 and see how they fare
also that's why Checo has had a hard time with cars like that including previous drivers except Ricciardo
he understands the car and track inhumanly well, mf finds grip everywhere
but whether Ricciardo is now in the ability to utilize the RB19 is up in the air lmfao
ricciardo is definitely out of his prime, but I'd say he'd do better than checo
tbh if we go back to the v8 era cars I think ricciardo would be a wildcard type beast, sending surprise dive bombs which keep you to the edge of your seat
I think Max got this control through karting, in that kart racing has no way of giving tuned suspension that warns you of incoming oversteer
if you're about to oversteer the car, you have to react and be quick to find that line
Jos fucking abused max during his carting days
the understeer warning I feel develops once you go through Formula junior series since the cars are going to feature a level of understeer
and then oversteer past that
partly because, again, that's a tuned setup that works for a large number of drivers
difficult to tell, there are many great kart racers that don't make it in F1. F1 is just very specific
I also think that nailing the right set up is very important
So everything before race day also matters
fair point
Max has been liking his 3 practice sessions because of it
I feel him being very descriptive and cooperative of what he's feeling is also a big player into why he can find that right setup
well, your engine not shitting the bed is also very important
I'm guessing we'll either see a 10 place penalty or a retirement from max very soon
I believe newey liked working with verstappen because he was able to give a lot of constructive criticism about the car, which helped them adjust it in the right direction
verstappen: 1 jillion downforce please
newey:
Newey is great at understanding the regs and finding loopholes
He maxed out reading comprehension during character creation
honestly I'm torn between Max setting history with consecutive wins or us getting an exciting title fight with a different winner
And I wouldn't put all on one person. F1 teams are big and you need the right team to manufacture a great car
fuck Max, I want to be entertained
Records don't matter, people can appreciate great driving even without
maybe in 10-20 years we'll all forget how dirty Max is just like how we forgot about how dirty Schumacher was
my classes overlap with the race times so I'm a little bit biased because I don't exactly get to enjoy every race weekend
I just check the intervals in the middle of class
I never forgot lol. Still my childhood hero. Taught me that being a prick is the best way at life
just skip
with the assitance of his father
watch on your phone
airpods
in his book, he talks about how his father and him would go through the engineering regulations in Formula 1 and try to find loopholes
doesn't he hate Apple?
banned in class this aint america
he was practically set to become a motorsport engineer since birth just out of interest

I think people use Max/Jos to glorify like child abuse way too much
nah you're probably confusing me with someone else
I just don't use Apple products
child abuse is not cool and we don't know that Max wouldn't have been good without it!!
what about apple juice
mango juice ftw
he was abused and he is a good driver but we don't actually have a causal relationship between those two things
too much sugar
I'm a fat fuck
weren't there also grooming allegations with his gf or something?
his gf is like a gazillion years older
Poor lad. He only has Lando and the brit is mad at him
but seems kinda weirdge to have a problem with that when there r like 1000000 male celebrities with gfs 50 years younger than them
Max is a demon because jos left him at the gas station, he looks back on it like family fun but it's genuinely concerning
it's ok because they are men. Don't you get it
thank god he decided to become a f1 driver and not a serial killer
also he seems to have a really good relationship with his gf's kid
According to Lewis and Lando, he is a killer
like Kvyat's kid
P
mfw he took Kvyat's job, wife, and child
P likes Max a lot, and Max reciprocates that as far as I know
there's a lot of clips of P clinging onto Max during his iracing sessions
Think the RBR isn't dominating enough anymore for that to happen anyway
Max has stated that his relationship with P is more like being big bro
it's fine really Max is just living the dream
nah, cool step dad is a thing
cool step dad dynamic is pretty much big bro dynamic
my dad does the "SON YOU WONT BELIEVE WHAT I FOUND AT THE MARKET"
we'll see in 2025
we might see a regression of RB now that they're going with Ford and parting ways with newey
Newey's departure won't be felt until 2026 most likely, with how development cycles work
but I dont think it'll be that quick that verstappens skill dominance will be undermined by ferrari and McLaren development
yeah that's for sure
the problem is the pace of RBR development kinda being slower than the recent pace of ferrari and McLaren development
both are looking like contenders to overtake RB in performance
even Mercedes now

Ollie Bearman getting an F1 seat before Theo Pourchaire
"Have you and Max spoken since last Sunday?"
Over to you, Lando 😃
#F1 #BritishGP
That’s a very mature response. Max and Lando besties again
i dont believe it until i see them kissing
He woke up early to speak to Lando ???? But Lando was even quicker and already texted him ???? Go away both of u 😭
They are dating
is this yaoi?
what did he even do
Replaced a bunch of engine parts that they reached the limits of already
In formula 1 you're only allowed to have so many new engines and sub-engine parts per season without any penalties
How do that penalty looks like in practice ?
He starts Silverstone GP 2023 like the tweet says
So a 52 laps penalty ?
he starts from the back of the grid
15+ place grid penalty = back of the grid according to the doc
nah the tweet is wrong
gasly starts from Silverstone 2022 gp
but with a 10 place grid penalty

also 25s time penalty for ocon
How come Checo is so washed
blimey

Checo isn’t washed. He’s beached
This silly season is going to be insane. Anyone else think someone else will be given his seat? Despite his new contract?
I bet that if max got knocked out in q1 he'd be out of the car on monday
specially with ric doing the same mistake behind him and not binning it, and max too
if it happens itll be ric in RB and Lawson in .... vcarb? Visa?
tf is Hulk doing in P6?
honestly, I'd give DR the seat
not because he'd be better than checo but because hes pretty much out of vcarb and every other team

DR is more washed up than Checo is. Daniel, you’re rich enough, take up something else mate
Ehhhh when Checo in a redbull is having worse finishes last 5 races than DR in a torro rosso...
maybe he'd be a half decent commentator, but I don't know who'd take him tbh
getting beaten by a haas in a red bull is ehhhh
I don't trust that source
Still funny tho
Max is trying to ruin the British party
but Hamilton and Russell are almost double away from DRS range
Mercedes clear today
hopefully they do not fuck up strategy
tf going on with Max
that Mc laren is so fast wtf
Hamilton seems to have this in the bag now
holy shit we've had so many unique winners this season
next race piastri gets a win
merc was temporarily bought out by John Deere
AMD is loving it
so how many records did hamilton break by winning the silverstone gp?
i think it was like 3
oldest driver to win in the 21st century
most wins at a specific circuit
dunno about the third
1st driver to win past 300 grand prix entries i think
last win was a bit before 300 entries iirc
Gasly was 6th is the wdc when he was dropped from RBR btw
idk if norris can make up the 84pts diff, title fight chances are iffy tbh
Checo needs to go asap
