Or buy the corsair type4 12vhpwr
Its a regular 8pin VGA/pcie cable
That ends in 6+2
look at they cables that came with your psu. They will be labled VGA or GPU.
or PCIE
okay good, one side is 8 pin for the psu, other side is usually 6+2
with the adapter yes
yes
correct
older gpus sometimes just needed a 6 pin so it’s split
but the psu is compatible with many many generations of systems and gpus
you just need to put the 6+2 in, older systems didn’t need the 2, that’s why it’s 6+2 and not just 8
correct. though the other cable is nice for a cleaner look/easier to jam in a small case.
just buy this:
https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/pc-components-accessories/cp-8920284/600w-pcie-5-0-12vhpwr-type-4-psu-power-cable-cp-8920284
yeah, that’s fine.
daisychained
technically using 3 separate cables is better but messy, i use a daisy chained one on my 3090, no issues
yep
4080 is supposed to have 3
4070/ti? only needs two
it would still work, just might limit your max power
apparently that one can do 600W?
idk should be fine
Is not the same type of cable
2 Type4 connector are capable of handling ~700w
So is more than enough
I have my 4080 with the official corsair cable
0 issues, even tested with furmark and no issues at all
It delivers the full tdp as expected
yes
yes
just to clarify each of the ports on the SF750 is capable of delivering >300W, since any of them can be used by the EPS cable. There's a reason corsair's own cable is only 2x8p
2x Type4*
each of the PCIE/EPS connectors on the SF750 are capable of delivering ~342W independently. two connections directly to the PSU is enough for a 4090.
