now I'm thinking about a monitor to add 🙂
I'm quite inexperienced with mobile gaming tech.
Does it make sense to buy a 4K monitor?
Is the notebook hardware (3080Ti and i9 cpu) powerful enough to run a external screen with 4K resolution in actual and upcoming games?
If I must reduce it to 1440p constantly, the 4K screen makes no sense

You won't be getting properly higher though due to HDMI 2.0b

I would say high refresh rate 1440p makes a lot more sense, especially if you're running 144hz+ (Makes sense for almost every top-end GPU rn in the desktop space too)

1440p you don't really notice a real difference up to about 32 inches

60Hz to 144Hz is a huge jump. But going from 144Hz to 240Hz depends on ur budget, not necessary. Also more common monitor size is still 24in or 27in, and again 1080p is good enough, 1440p is quite a huge price jump. Only choose 4K if ur video content creator or who likes watching shows dramas etc more than fast pace gaming. Ur laptop should have no issue with any external monitor

I'd read up on how to clean the contacts! Sometimes the contacts under the faceplate gets a little dusty and it needs cleaning.

One of many battles in life. But lipo is great battery technology. I know a few that we made special connection so they don't need lipo. Sorry to hear that, that’s apparently same battery probably from same factory only different stemple, the original one with Razer branding. I’ve 7 Razer laptops (current setting 3) that I use over a year in past decade only one getting bloated (after 3 years gaming usage, probably due lockdown more gameplay). So it’s hit and miss, if you’re monitoring the temperature the risk is even lower. Blade cassis act as heat dissipation, it’s nice if you can throw heat fast but acts as boomerang if it slower to dissipate (like dusted fans, playing like on bed with bottom areas covered).

This is my Blade setup... I've done whatever I can do to ease the overheating problem - putting the laptop on the stand, set maximum processor usage to 99% when plugged in, unplugging laptop when not in use, opening the cover to clean dusts etc... (Note that Throttlestop doesn't work on newer models due to the BIOS settings being locked).

However, all of this doesn't save me from the joining the bloated battery club, the trackpad area (where the battery is located) still gets hot sometimes when I play games on ultra settings or run CPU intensive programs... Not sure if the bloating issue is caused by a bad battery or heat issues. My CPU cores temp is around 80 degree celsius (with fans boosted to the max) when my trackpad area gets hot~

I see. It doesn’t sound problem with the heat, on intel blade15/14 I used to disable turbo boost with similar CPU temperature, trackpad areas getting hot is only the difference, mine it’s sometimes “warm“ when charging or gaming since it’s right over the battery but if I’ve to say hot area is the upper areas between keyboard display where heat is being outputted. Probably was already bad battery, on book13, blade 14 2021 and blade 15 advanced 2018, trackpad areas aren’t hot, only when charging from low percentage or playing long session it’s getting warm.

Yes unfortunately since 2020 model due plundervolt Razer lock the undervolt capability. There’s workaround but not sure if it’s worth to do.

Locked cpu are just chips built to run with a tempature range in mine. They use metal that can run under specific conditions and can be much faster to make and control quality and inventory needed. Great for 99% of people. Some over clocking version get tested well. We had cpu chips glowing red from heat we put them in box to Melt metal. To see when they stop running or if we can over clock them.

Blade 14 3070 here. I’m still on 10 since I still heard and saw gaming performance issue on windows 11. If the battery life is worse or it doesn’t work well with blade software like synapse I’d personally roll it back, unless you really need windows 11 features that doesn’t exist on 10, if it’s synapse matter hopefully they’ll address it soon. For battery since it’s Optimus related, Nvidia driver might be also the culprit, check using hwinfo64 sensor how the discharge rate behave, in order to get 8ish hours you want it under 10 watt (-10 watt) discharged.

Yes, chroma connect lets you link the asus monitors just like MSI monitors to synapse but as perp said, it's been having compatibility problems for a while since the creator has been unable to refresh the license for it (Simply won't install in most cases)

I just got the DA V2 pro and the dock. The dock is supposed to be connected to your PC and the dongle into the dock for wireless usage. So my issue is if the dock is connected to the PC that means it is only on when the PC is on, but when the PC is on I’ll need to use my mouse. When the PC is off thats when i need to charge my mouse but the dock is isnt charging when the PC is off. So whats the purpose of the dock? 🤣

I'm having some issues with my Razer Kraken TE, so obsviously there's two audio channels and my "Chat" audio is completely broken.

By broken I mean audio is instantly static, any video I watch that is in the Chat Audio is slowed down and static aswell. The only major changes I've made to my PC is updating my Windows 11 to the latest insider build. I don't really want to rollback so I wanted to see if there are any less drastic fixes?

All most all razer headset plug in so they can support wired headphones amps. We can not find anyone to support wireless amped headsets in court. So a few console versions have no option to listen to them louder then allowed.
