I had late 2019 one (FHD 60Hz 1650maxq), it use lower wattage cpu and gpu no thermal issue there unlike bigger blade. Sold it for blade 14 upgrade, portability great but I need more gpu power.

my default output is 7.1 surround sound but the app is detecting realtek hd audio and it is using 7.1 surround sound

so the 7.1 surround sound is basically useless on the realtek if it doesn't detect the 7.1 surround sound speaker

Whats the difference between huntsman mini and the analog one?

Analog switches are analog which means you can program actuation points

They're also triggerable by pressure similar to how joysticks are. So a light touch could mean a character walks while a hard push means a character can run in a game

So my older Pro 17 has one but from what I can see there is no touch screen on the i9 model.

For what it's worth, the i9 will be equal to the i7 when playing games if this is going to be your main use, I would focus only on the GPU the lappy has and then choose your display off of that.

UHD is nice but it's more a creator thing (i.e editing at that level), QHD is also nice but you won't really tell the difference between that and 1080p at 17 inches, maybe a slight sharpness bump in exchange for being GPU bound and using a lot more power and heat.

UHD you don't really benefit from unless you have a screen beyond 32 inches

Put them back in their case, wait 10 seconds and try again

When you take them out you should hear a BEEP to say they're both connected to each other

If you don't hear anything at all still, hold down on the side that has no sound until you hear it turn on

If still nothing, leave it in the case for 10 minutes to charge and try again

after that

first of all, optical switches for typing absolutely sucks. The design is too differenct than that of mechanical switches with a smooth touch

If you want optical analog becuz of its actuation point customization and quick response, please go for steelseries apex pro with omnipoint switches

Apex pro is significantly cheaper and also the autation point can be adjusted to be as low as 0.4mm, basically no pre-travel at all. This has been fornite plyers go to keeb since it came out 2yrs ago

if I was in charge at razer product team I would change the whole portfolio structure and make it way more modular

On top of that, you should wait until reviews say if the Katana is good or not as well. PSU's can cause serious damage if they don't have good quality parts/protections in place

they are faster, durable

ornata is membrane keys

again, depends on what huntsman they are reffering to. Assuming the normal huntsman or the v2 huntsman, then it has the 2 types of optical switches, red and purple, it has the multimedia keys (keeping in mind that the ornata v2 also has them), it has doubleshot keycaps (overall better than the ornata ones, better rgb)

Also I think the huntsman is full aluminium plate? can't tell if the ornata has it too

it really depends on your needs. If I were in your shoes, I would try to think if I actually need the keyboard. Maybe I play FPS games and I need that extra advantage on the key presses? Maybe my keyboard is getting old so I just feel like I need to upgrade it?

I personally always choose to save the money in case I need it for something else. As long as my current keyboard is working. But again this is my personal preference and what I personally would do. For example I have the Huntsman Elite. I've had it since 2020. Since then, the Huntsman Elite V2 came out, do I want to upgrade to the v2? No. My huntsman still works just fine, I would upgrade to the v2 only after my current one died
