go for high CPU core count, high RAM if it has to be a Razer laptop
If you can afford reasonable desktop access instead, you'll get way more horsepower out of one
you can also tailor it more easily
Nvidia's encoding is supposedly really nice as well so if you end up picking anything it's suggested that an Nvidia GPU gives more leverage when not talking about games
But that's only if you go the desktop route, mid-range to high-end Razer laptops all have Nvidia GPUs (Albeit again, lower horsepower than desktop)

I never owned the kitty edition, how ever I've owned krakens and I currently use the blackshark v2 pros. I personally would never reccomend a product I don't like. I find the sound quality to be far better on the BS v2 over the krakens. but thats just my thoughts

I saw screenshots of the CHROMA manager screen and the animation for some of the previews and they seem to suggest the key gutters are entirely filled with LEDs. Some of the other animations have lighting for only that key and not a range, so I want you to confirm one of the two.

Not too sure what you mean, but I can say this; Razer Chroma is incredibly customisable, there are loads of separate LED lighting points for every area of the device, and you can add multiple different effects to your device(s) at the same time.

sadly it wont go back its not fabric that is stretched but the little plastic tubing that holds the led lights that stretches. There is no way to fix that. The mats I don't think were designed to be moved with weight on them for extended times the only real way I have found to keep it from ever doing that is to never move it with weight on top of it and or get hard plastic cover that goes over it that will ever prevent it from bending.
