Are there any tips or tricks for dampening the sound of my keyboard? I won a Huntsman V2 Optical full keyboard with purple switches. The clicky sound is nice when gaming but I am also a writer and during long writing sessions the sound gets to be a bit overwhelming.

Hey guys, I'm currently using the Naga V2 Pro mouse. There's this game called Nioh where you can switch between attack stances via 3 different keys. There's a game mechanic that relies on switching to two different stances in succession to regenerate stamina and there is strategy involved in ending up on a preferred stance for whatever situation you're in. For example, sometimes I want to switch to low and then high from middle or to high and then middle from low. Is this at all possible with assigning functions on a scroll wheel (which idk to what extent it's programmable)? or even with ReWASD? Thank you.

I have no problem doing this with controller but mine recently broke and have a new one on the way. I wanted to test KBM controls and find it quite difficult to do this mid combat

I didn't like the audio for my FPS games, it sounds like an echo chamber.

I wanted to return it but couldn't since I opened the box. So I have to use them, I don't really have a choice since I saved up for a lot of time to get this headset, and I can't afford another one.

Does anyone have ideal EQ settings, surround settings for it, for Valorant. I don't mind paying for an surround sound software separate. I don't want to get rid of Synapse since I have other peripherals and I want to be able to see theit battery and set lighting.

By subwoofer do you mean surround sound? It is necessary for FPS gaming, the surround sound helps absolutely immensely with understanding where exactly the footsteps are coming from. Either way, it's too late for me to go back on this headset apparently.

I don't use the THX, no... I was really excited to use it once I was getting the headset but then realised it makes the sound go loud but very unclear and bad. I used to use 7.1 Surround with my old headsets (Kraken) and they were perfect, but since 7.1 Surround doesn't work for me, I thought of THX as a great upgrade, but no...

Without THX, you can really adjust it for them to sound loud enough and good, almost as if you were using 7.1 Surround.

I only left the settings to change to competitive Mode THX when playing games like COD, but for me it only changes at the start up and then it goes back to THX off, which is something I have to look into, because it's weird, but not too worried, since it sounds great without it.

If you want spatial audio, Doltby Atmos sounds good

Thanks, but I tried a bunch of the EQ settings online, I think it's just THX, it makes the game feel a bit like a hollow echo chamber, not sure how else to describe it, which is weird. Can't really play without surround either since it makes a huge difference for me in game.

Previous to this I was using Corsair Voids, like 6-7 years old with a custom EQ and surround sound with audio repositioning. The sound was straight, soft, and at the same time I could tell the directional. I think with THX they went overboard with trying to simulate virtual sound that it sounds like a large echo chamber in-game (could also have to do with the distance option you get in some surround systems which is not there in the THX built into Synapse for v2 pros).

Either way, I tweaked around with it a lot, used AutoEq and realized it makes a nice ambient sound but not for games. I am testing the preset game audio equalizer, and although feels hollow, it's nice, it's easy to tell the directions, just the feel is a bit weird but I might need to get used to it. Will be tweaking this preset and seeing if I like something but the preset is pretty nice in Valorant.

but i think i have singled it out to valorant in a weird way, i decided run my sound tests on other softwares and games and they sound fine

then the fact that if you have another surround solution running, all thx audio gets completely fucked, so i wondered if it has to do anything with the auto detect feature (in-game option) in valorant which is supposed to provide support for surround solutions like dolby, dtsx etc while stereo feature (in-game option) is supposed to be non compatible, what if its fucking the audio up big time

turns out it was auto-detect, valorants audio option to support spatial audio solutions of headsets and companies, its fucking with THX somehow blowing up the entire sound just like how an actual spatial solution running in conjunction with another one would, but i am having a hard time troubleshooting if the surround still works in stereo mode of the game or not because stereo mode isnt supposed to be compatible with surround solutions of headsets

Switching between thx spatial and stereo in Synapse then after definitely did make a noticable difference in general volume so i am betting that THX spatial is working even if the game options is set to stereo.

Trying to run more tests but I ran into a shitty gimmicky bug, when I am in-game testing, and if i switch to stereo from spatial in synapse, it for some reasons locks me in that stereo mode -- im unable to switch back to spatial even though the toggle shows otherwise (the base audio level doesnt change, and i use the video i linked above to sort of see spatial is actually active or not)

Once locked in that for some reason, nothing helps including closing the game, or restarting synapse, i have to restart the PC, so yeah, i am testing it one restart at a time :/

But one thing is for sure, the in-game valorant option of auto-detect which is supposed to support spatial softwares and drivers, and be compatible with it, is fucking with the THX spatial sound making it sound horrendous.

This straight up pisses me off, you would think that a gaming headset would be tested on multiple competitive games including valorant especially since they have major valorant esports orgs and players shilling razer products and promoting it on Valorant platforms

I don't know whose problem to fix this would be, Riot or Razer, but I think it would have to be razer because countless other people use other branded surround solutions and it works fine with valorant's auto-detect support for spatial softwares/solutions, so it's definitely something with Razer's THX driver, has to be

Either way once I am done testing, and also understanding the reproduceability of the bug above, i will submit it to both Riot and Razer support, hopefully some employee actually puts on the headset and runs the game, and they fix it

I had Kraken (the 1st one) for 4/5 years now, and I even bought it twice after the first one broke after 4 years because the sound is actually really good. Also, the mic. If you use Surround 7.1, even better.

Now, I am using Blackshark V2 pro and to be fair, the EQ is really bad as default, not gonna lie. But once you adjust it, it's great. I don't regret it.

Hi all, has anyone gotten a Razer Tartarus keypad working on Apple Silicon, specifically M1/M2/M3 MacBook/Pro? I'm trying but it's not getting power. Tried direct connection using Apple's USB-A to USB-C converter cable, and also connecting it via a powered USB hub, but neither work. No lights, no keypresses recognized, device not recognized in Mac OS devices list.

I don't need the Tartarus's advanced features like macros or RGB lightning, just need it to get power and be recognized by Mac OS as an external keyboard. The Tartarus's default keymappings work fine for my purposes. It works like this on my Linux machines, no advanced features but gets power and keypresses register. Was hoping for the same on Mac.

Thats pretty based, I did buy the cobra pro, the back was relatively similar so that was a huge plus. Only downside was it was too small for my grip

But yeah that's the biggest turnoff of thr cobra. Maybe we'll get a get a cobra v2 pro lol. But for now it's viper vs deathadder. And the viper is long enough, but just shorter. Thr back feels just about right. And the adder feels a tad bit taller amd without thr back I'm used too. But it is ergo so technically it's fits a certain way
