hey guys, i just bought a Razer BlackShark v2 Pro, and when i got it today the sound sound quality is terrible, worse than my $60 ones i got from razer. I tried changing lots of settings, and making it wired instead, but no luck. the main problem is the lack of bass. any thoughts on this?

I'm having a similar issue. Mine does not sound terrible, but there is a noticeable "weird" buzzing/feedback type of sound heard when playing my truck simulator games. I installed, and keep updated, the app, but nothing I change in the app, in Windows 10 Pro, or in-game seem to eliminate that sound. Not sure what else to try. The sound is not experienced while watching YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, or in other games.

this is a common issue when the headset sound (with the knob) is turned up all the way

i suggest turning it down and turn your windows volume up

Okay, so I have a question about a problem that I have fixed twice and each time it came back the previous fix didn't work. So i have the Black Shark v2 with usb sound card. Whenever I use razer synapse 3 and i have the thx set as my output device, 1 the audio device wont connect to razer and allow me to control the volume from synapse 3, and 2ndly no audio is playing through my headset unless i only select usb sound card as my output device. Unfortunately that only gives stereo and not surround. I have narrowed the problem down to the synapse 3 software and my pc, since the headset and thx work on another pc in my house. Before anyone says anything, I think thx sounds great and I enjoy using it. SO i was wondering if anyone had a fix or knew of a way for me to see where thx driver is sending audio and what's going on under the hood of my pc.

Are you using the usb sound card that came with headset then yes you must select it. Also if you want surround sound I normally select it in windows settings. But I only see dolby atoms I paid for it dtx I paid for it. Also windows sonic just custom dac settings but sometimes surround work. We are looking into taking them to court over this.

It sounds like your best option is to get the software, use it, make your defaults and that’s it

I just got the Razer BlackShark V2 X but the audio compared to my previous headset is pretty low. Im max volume and it barely feels like 70% on my previous ones. Am I supposed to pay 20$ for the app just to properly use this headset or this is just how they are? Kinda weird considering this was on top 2/3 of every headset list

The software just set-up what audio plays on after you unplug your headset. So sound card or onboard audio for most. Second if your trying to use usb sound card for audio you must select it. 3 thx is an audio testing standard company not a sound option. 4 soon razer should get 9.1 audio and the drivers will be in audio store like dolby atoms or dtx version you can buy.

Well if you paid it seems to just work for me. Does not matter if I pick dolbly atoms or not. Surround sound works. But if you are using headset with usb sound card you can select the usb sound cards and in razer synapse 3.0 try turning settings off and on see if it's working.

If it was working dolby atoms should get audio from 7.1 speakers but all the same and razer technology will give you direction from the source.

A few are paying but it's crazy how bad they did at setting up collecting money for use of technology. We all ready micro size it and that usb sound cards is being given away for free almost. In 1980 we pay $500 for that with cost increase now it should be over $5000 but not selling anything near that and the size is so much better.

Yes select the source your using and click on usb sound card in software adjust setting. Don't use windows spatial audio that is custom dac settings will not let you change settings

So the dac settings should lock settings so you can not adjust anything. Not sure if that's working or not I don't use it. But try it off and try it on. See for your self.

Be like me hope one day the music industry gets stuff done rights and stop making bosses angry and customers angry. I know a few computer reviewers stop reviews audio they were so mad at what was being done.

Also be happy you got such new audio technology in a same size even if it's just a custom dac and not full usb sound card. I heard some are just dac and others are a full Mico size sound cards. But the dac version really small I have seen only for phone that are working.

So, I think I’ve discovered that the Razer Barracuda Pro has some level of retention of settings for EQ. So I’ve I’m attached to my phone via Bluetooth, then switch to the 2.4ghz dongle, it retains the EQ I have set on my phone

They should remove thx is a equipment testing standard. Nothing to do with audio sound. Also Microsoft going to take them to court for use spatial audio with out there settings I'm guessing. Razer just own access to audio positioning. Then other company own access to amount of speakers use 5.1 or 7.1 or 9.1 imax. So far people just messing it up. Hopefully one day they get it right and stop having to got to court.

Well I find they will ware not last a lifetime when I was using them in 1980 early 1990. I sent a few back to company before starting razer. They were shocked how much I used them. They have gotten better I hear. But I don't do that much typing anymore just gaming so I never worn one out in years. But if your getting paid for typing by union I would love to see one after 10 years of use to see how well they stand up.

When you get paid by how much you type per min I love to see how well any keyboard last after a few years of use. We have machines testing them 24 hours a day to make sure the quality holds up. But it's not 100% the same as office use I think. Different amounts of dust and abuse. But the best thing is they should be able to repair them if membrane worn out easier, then replaces all switches. Lost of membrane dont use button anymore.

I know the good ones use metal plates to contact motherboard. Instead of paint like car remotes that are useless and wear out fast.

I even seen some use light for no sound but not sure how long they last I never tested them myself that more factory workers jobs.

Some people use to complain a lot about membrane keyboard but I have found out some are definitely better then others and they have gotten better with rubber over time. That's why we made halo version as membrane I was told to show off new technology

But they are sold out now only see a version with switches.

I've seen this vid. The switches feel ok to type but the feel and click is so inconsistent. And since it's a rubberdome board it's not really good for competitive gaming.

And the price they have the v2 at. Just get a real mechanical board from Amazon like Redragon.

the link you shared is of mid 2021 (probably) with intel 11th gen. And they probably increased the TGP, i think because 11th gen had a lower fabrication technology (nm) and thus lesser heat dissipation (what I think). So that could have made room for better TGP on GPU.

However when I try set it up in Synapse, it only shows up when plugged in, when unplugged and in wireless mode, I cant change the RGB, Cant modify profiles ect.
