Evening, folks! Hoping to get a little feedback on a build I've been planning for a while now. I've actually had a lot of input, taken a lot of this to heart, learned and researched a lot of stuff along the way - I'll readily admit there's still plenty I'm not completely or fully understanding - and think I (almost) have the build I'm going to go with. Whilst I've tweaked it a little bit, I have kept a few things others have suggested. I'm very close to pulling the proverbial trigger, but, as I said, would like a little feedback. I am pretty much set to get one of them, but want to know how the second one looks. Specifically, aside from the case (which has been a constant thing, lol), any issues? I think the PSU is sufficient, as it exceeds the 100W over that's recommended (it's nearly 200W higher than estimate). How about the CPU cooler - would it be sufficient with the upgrade? I'm also just curious about the memory in the second one; is there much of a difference between them, or is the only real difference the name brand and one has lighting? Thanks in advance! 😄

My kraken x lite 7.1 sizzles whenever i turn razer synapse 3 on, only when 7.1 is activated, the sizzling goes away after i deactivate 7.1 or completely turn synapse 3 off, ive searched the net about it but couldn't find much except for people saying that you should change the usb port which didn't work

I just got my huntsman mini in today and been trying to get it connected to synapse but not having any luck doing so. I watched the whole support video explaining how to connect it but even after a few multiple attempts at it I still have not gotten it connected. Have a quick question if anyone can help. Been planning a build for months now, and I've learned a fair bit. Of course, one majorly important piece is the whole static thing (as I understand, not quite as big a concern with today's tech). One common way to prevent possible damage is by touching a computer case. My question, simply put, is: will touching the NZXT H510 case actually be enough? I ask because I have read the metal can't be painted - yet, the whole thing is black, and I'm guessing that's not actually the natural colour (to the best of my knowledge, no metal is naturally black). Would appreciate any information that can be given! ^_^

You can buy a wired esd wristband if you're super worried but in my experience, if you've touched the case before you started, generally it's ok

That case has notorious problems for poor heat management

At the least the H510 flow would mean you keep the look but don't have the heat problems

Well, should clarify and say I prepaid for it - don't have it in-hand yet.

I might've gone the 6900, but was too much for me as I was hitting the upper limit of my build budget.

That said, way back when the whole Bitcoin thing started, I was interested in possibly getting involved, but was at a loss as to how it all worked exactly.

Maybe I'll look in to it on the side, so to speak, but my build is more for content creation purposes than mining Bitcoin.

So that sounds like user error. Historically optical switches aren’t going to double click like mechanical switches.

No. The software wouldn’t cause it to double click. You may be pressing the switch in such a way that its causing the laser to sense a false keypress

This is how a optical switch functions

So clicking it super fast, the switch may not be fully bouncing back to its rest position so its causing it to register two clicks. There isn’t anything you can do.

You can try contacting support @ support.razer.com. Or just leave well enough alone

Hey, just wondering if I can get a little further clarification on the whole ESD thing and grounding. Much of what I've heard is touching non-painted metal is good (my uncle recommended a stove as being acceptable, despite it being painted). What I can't seem to verify is if metal by itself, not plugged in to anything, would be acceptable. For instance, golf clubs, weights, or even a side panel such as the one from my HP Pavilion 500-189 (pictured). Can someone verify?

One thing I read about static electricity - pertaining to clothing, though - was to run a wire clothes hanger along something to get rid of it, so wondering if any old piece of metal will work.
