ok. i think i'm just going to change my entire pcpartpicker. hello, beautiful people's, i've been changing and modding my pcpartpicker for the last 3 or 4 weeks now and i simply can't settle on one final one, i keep getting offered different components and new things keep coming out; prices keep fluctuating. i've come to the decision that i would really like if someone or more than one person can gather a pcpartpicker (end of today is deadline, i'm running out of time) bearing in mind tha my budget is capped at 510 without a gpu or psu. i am one for aesthetics and i indulge in good colour combinations such as white, white and black, preferably not red and black. this is a HUGE ask but i simply can't do this on my own. thank you so much, if you are willing to help and have the time 🙂

Let’s avoid posting the same message over and over. However you can try using Reddit to have pc help, watch YouTube for build guides for your budget, and even see off anyone is local that can sell you a slightly used system

Since you're from the UK, consider a prebuilt from http://pcspecialist.co.uk - it's where I got mine from (I'm also UK based), and they can sell you a decent system. Since you're on such a small budget however, you'll probably want to go Intel. AMD in the budget end just doesn't exactly exist.

They also have their own Discord where you can ask for help in their spec discussion channel, and someone can spec you up a full build from PCS with what you need. 🙂 (and this may be the best option as the people there know the options available inside out from PCS, and will be able to spec you up a good prebuilt. Please note that a PSU will be included in the build, however their open case warranty allows you to replace this without voiding the warranty). The only things you cannot replace are the case, the CPU, motherboard, and BIOS. However, I believe the CPU and BIOS can be replaced without voiding your warranty if you seek permission beforehand from PC Specialist.

I paid £90 for this... and not on sale... I'd rather have mechanical storage for that very reason. For media storage. Anything like apps though yeah, SSD all the way.

For my YouTube content, that works out fine, but I also work in News and Broadcast television, so I have TONS of footage. One of my next purchases is actually going to be a 16TB External RAID with 2 8TB mechanical drives and 2 extra slots so I can bump it to 32 down the line.

I move the footage I'm working with to the SSD while I need immediate access and then offload it to the mechanical when I'm done. The new machine I just built has Thunderbolt 4, so with a solid RAID set-up, it'll be pretty speedy for transferring.

The Ironwolf speeds are around 500mbps for r/w which is definitely faster than the 125mbps on a mechanical, but price-wise, the difference is too much (right now) for it to be worth it. at most I'd be saving a couple minutes here and there.

Nice I know there are instances where large mechanical drives are well suited unless you can build a nice server out of ssds which is highly expensive. Outside though of use cases most gamer would just do dual ssd setup however, I went dual ssd setup because I was tired of the inherent system lag that comes with using magnetic media . You working news and broadcast so I am pretty sure they are working with lossless and or pro res formats if you are using apple.

Yeah I use ironwolf in everything I know they are nas drives but they are designed for server use but are great in desktop and laptops as they will usually outlast the system they are installed in lol.

I had an entire streaming rig that was a mini black-magic studio about 30k worth of av stuff stolen including the pc's controlling it. If you work with all pro gear you are going to HATE the elgato.

The ATEM works just as actual broadcast software goes so people that are not used to actually setting the cough formats before hand HATE it.

People don't understand lucky though Blackmagic did patch the ATEM's to auto switch the scaling on EDID changes , something you still have to do manually on some of there old stuff like when I had my old ultrasudio 4k non tb3 and ultra studio express.

The ATEM being USB instead of a PCI card is also attractive. I'd be able to easily move it to my portable rig from my home rig.

Honestly , if I was to get all the stuff again I would get me BM pocket 4k an ipad pro m1 and usb / tb 3 to dock adapter, and the ATEM MINI to input all the devices, and with some lighting etc, just twitch stream pc / console game play from an ipad which is actually doable now.

Yeah, the A7ii has a 1/8" mic input, so you could do that with this too, but I've got both the Elgato Wave:3 and a Zoom L-8 mixer with a Sterling ST151 condenser mic.

I got the mixer so when we stream board games I can give everyone their own mic. We tried it a month or so ago with just the Wave:3 trying to capture all of us, but that was. . . not great.

Cynosa is a membrane keyboard so the types of switches are much worse than razers mechanical, there are different mechanical switches that give a feel similar to membrane but with better quality

Why isn't my headset showing in Synapse?

First of all, we need to figure out what device you have. If it's a device that uses a 3.5mm connection rather than USB, it cannot be detected in Synapse as the 3.5mm connection doesn't have the ability to transfer the data Synapse needs to see the device. This means all adjustments will need to be handled via the Windows Sound Mixer (or your OS's equivalent). This is also the reason why these devices are unable to have Chroma RGB on them!

But my device uses USB!

In which case, follow standard troubleshooting steps for Razer Synapse at http://support.razer.com. Should this fail to yeild results, then feel free to contact the official support team on the website!

Hello- on my 3rd pair of Razer Ultimate for Xbox/PC. I use it through my PC and my sound continues to crackle and completely cut out for 10-20 sec at a time and then reconnect. Anyone else know the solve here??

Might be a headphone jack problem, or the wire might have a short

you could try returning it and getting a new pair, but if that doesn't work try seeing if your audio drivers are updated

If it still doesnt work* then* it's most likely a problem with the headphone jack on your pc

I may look into the audio drivers. It is Bluetooth, so no headphone jack

Yeah then try checking the drivers, it might be a battery problem if its Bluetooth

I was think all those same things besides the driver on headset 1 & 2. Being the same issue now on 3rd set I need to look elsewhere. What’s chances of 3 defective headsets?

1. Try reseting synapse
2. Uninstall and reinstall headphone drivers
3. Run a windows updater
4. If you have an intel chip. Install intel updste and support assistant and check to see if theres a new bluetooth driver.
5. Go to mobo manufacture site and see if theres any bios updstes or driver updates

So the headset connects with an Xbox Dongle and appears as a “controller” when connected. The headset itself actually does not show up in Synapses.

I really need help, I've gone through every article and youtube video trying to get this headset to work, I even went back to the store and exchanged it for another only to have the same problem. It's a Kraken TE and while the sound works fine the mic just doesnt work at all. I've tried it with 2 seperate headsets on two seperate computers
