I'm using razer keyboard which costs around 130$ and it started making problems after a month of using. Now I got a razer headset ( Kraken X ) and it was sent to me defective.. Literally. The speakers are making static noise that doesn't stop, which makes them literally unuseful and now I have to use my old 20$ headset, but It still do the job. The Razer's Kraken X doesn't.

Strangely enough, most of my Razer products have worked fine. Taken multiple years of hard abuse before breaking. I dunno, I'd say in my eyes they're definitely competing. However I can understand why getting repeated lemons would make you not want to buy their products again and that's absolutely fine!

I have a razer naga 2014 that still is alive and kicking works great. Outside of I did replace the USB cable and mouse feet however the rest of it works just fine. Granted the Naga 2014 does NOT like the firefly v2 mouse pad it causes the mouse to freeze up and not respond, I think that is do to the texture , however felt pads are fine with it.

The only 3 items I have had with razer that are funky is the blackshark v1 they were the worst headphones I ever owened in my life ages ago. The Ripsaw HD which I finally got working fine after fixing it myself. the Razer Siren X mic I replaced with a Shure MV7.

web cam wise my Razer Kyro works fine.

If you are a live streamer I would actually recommend skipping there streamer mics and go with Shure, cause even Shure lowest end mic is better then Razers top end. Not really Razer fault, it's just Razer makes a lot of products Shure just makes mics.

Since most people wont think to just buy a new USB cable after the fact and take apart the device and replace it. That 250 dollar keyboard you buy from Razer costs them about 5 bucks to manufacture if that. It is not just a Razer thing it is just how businesses make money, cause they buy in such bulk that they pay pennies on the dollar, example xbox one x costs Microsoft say 300 to manufacture but they sell it at 400. They make a small profit (typically MS and Sony do this because they make there money on licensing not hardware.) ; but it costs them pennies to make Xbox and or play-station controllers. 60 dollar controller they can manufacture for under 5 dollars.

No I am not teaching people how to scam Razer or anyone, just if the device is less then 50 to 100 bucks at costs it really does cost them more money for you to return it then it would be for you to junk it and they ship you a new one.

I had a defective mac book pro the first time Apple had me ship it to me the motherboard was 1100 dollars the screen was another 900 dollars for them to fix and replace it.. (I had apple care.) so it cost 2000 dollars according to there detail of work + the tech then it was for the actual laptop , the second time the device failed they actually just had me break the thing in half send a picture and sent me a brand new laptop which I still have and use for work .

I buy Razer service plans for headphones and I have the razer firefly v2 keyboard so forth and wireless headphones I didn't however do it for my mice and stuff as I can get parts to replace those, actually I did on my naga 2020 because I love this damn mouse to much lol
