even if they have improved it, like to endure more so the wires inside wont get frayed. i think it would still melt if the environment you're in have extreme heat. like you said it was under direct sunlight. plastic will melt, even heavy duty ones.

i am trying to help you man, I have a degree in cyber security, so I'd like to think im pretty knowledgeable . there should be no issues with the bios update or for the matter of any of the updates your system needs. your system will run smoother, have less security vulnerabilites, and you may not have a usb issue anymore.
