there is a reason why in steam you always see xbox controller being compatible with all games, and the PS controllers get half way compatible.
that because windows only supports XBOX bluetooth, if you want to support literally anything it better to use a dongle.

Go to Device Manager > Xbox 360 Controller > Properties > Disable > Confirm > Restart your PC. After the restart check if it works, if not you may do it again, Windows doesn't like to disable devices.

linear will have a smooth travel all the way down.

tactile has a "bump" in the travel, a point where it becomes harder to push down, after which it continues down smoothly. typically, the actuation point of the switch is close to this "bump." it's called tactile because you can FEEL when the key is actually being activated because of that "bump"

clicky feels like tactile, but it makes an audible clicking noise where you hit that "bump"

which one is best is up to preference. personally, I prefer clicky, because I like the noise and tactile feedback when I'm typing and gaming, and I find that it's much harder to accidentally press a key with clicky and tactile switches.

kailh does work with clients to make customized parts sometimes, this might be a custom switch. it's some variation of their side tact switch

did the switch originally look like that, or did you partially disassemble the switch? the switch I'm seeing in teardown images looks different

if you can't find an exact replacement, you could always use a different switch.

there's plenty of creative ways to mount a different switch even if it doesn't match the exact sizing. as long as you can line up the button, it should be fine

I use 1k most can not type faster then it can run. Official we only see a few do over 60 Hz capture rates on earth. So 100 HZ is lots for many people but was designed for faster cpu to capture 8 devices at 1 kHZ each.

I have a problem and I still don't know how to solve it. I'm currently using a Ninjutso Sora v2 mouse. It worked fine from the day I got it, but then I bought a Razer Blackshark v2 Hyperspeed. Initially, it also worked fine, but after a few days, the mouse started freezing. At first, I thought it was due to dust or lint inside the sensor and cleaned it, but it didn't fix it. Then I realized the real problem is that the mouse's dongle and the Razer's dongle freeze when they're side-by-side, probably because they're both 2.4 GHz. I've tried separating the dongles, but that didn't work either. I formatted my computer, but that didn't help either. How can I solve this? Please help me. I can't play games properly, and even if I do, it lags, which really annoys me.

Ah, no. Onboard-memory will only save basic functions for Razer peripherals, like basic rebind and simple macros, some functions have a message saying "This function requires Razer Synapse", meaning that you can't use them without Synapse.

In your example, those functions can't be saved on onboard-memory as far as I know, they will only work with Synapse.

I'm intimately familiar with the competitive overclocking scene, no it isn't. frequency records that high are set on a single core, and most of the time aren't stable enough to do anything besides get their speed verified by CPU-Z

I mean yes, Intel would benefit from a faster cache, but 1. you can change that yourself if you like and 2. it ups idle power usage like crazy the higher you try to push cache speed, faster cache requires more power in order to remain stable

they would benefit more from a larger l3 cache like AMD does with their x3d chips

but cache is expensive

and again, it gets power hungry rather fast

hopefully Intel figures out die stacking soon, AMD is leagues ahead of them in that regard

I mean more l2 or l1 cache would also be awesome, but it gets ridiculously expensive really fast

the enthusiast class of hardware has always sold good enough, Intel and AMD used to sell $1k+ chips as consumer grade stuff. they still sell them to the public, but those kinds of chips are no longer gaming focused.

ram and nvme prices are up due to ai companies buying the manufacturing capacity for ram and nvme chips for the next few years

the global pure helium supply took a large hit recently due to events in the middle east, pure helium is required for semiconductor manufacturing

and tsmc (the company that makes Intel, apple, Qualcomm, Nvidia, and most importantly for ps5, AMD chips) has recently raised prices on all of their nodes, especially their advanced nodes. the ps5 uses an AMD CPU+GPU

AMD and Nvidia are also prioritizing AI GPU production over consumer grade cards because the AI GPUs are significantly more profitable

also, dual GPU is rather inefficient, which is why you don't see it in laptops

dual GPU is really only useful nowadays for running AI models, which you're not gonna be running locally on the fly anyway. there just isn't a use case for it.

especially not worth it considering that laptop GPUs are heavily handicapped in terms of power usage and performance to make sure that they can be cooled within the amount of space that a laptop allows for. it'd be simpler and better for performance to just use a single higher power GPU instead of two weak GPUs.

the issue then becomes physically not having the ventilation and thermal mass to handle more heat

in which case you get a fat laptop

at what point do you just remote into a powerful desktop instead

where you're not constrained by space

I guess if you really need to be locally running AI models on like a flight or something... but then you're gonna run out of battery power anyway with something that power hungry and intensive

idk dual GPU in a laptop just doesn't make sense from a technical standpoint

razer doesn't list a latency with the speed, so idk. and the performance difference will depend a lot more on the CPU than the ram, different CPUs scale very differently with ram speed. that being said, arrow lake scales pretty decently with ram speed, I imagine panther lake probably will as well. having 9600mt/s is likely just a marketing gimmick. I can't find any actual benchmarks for it yet, so it's hard to say. thermals on them are likely to be not great. a lot of heat + a thin chassis generally don't mix well. and if you don't need a top of the line laptop, no, the price is insane. if you're just gaming in a house and don't need portability, a desktop will get you way more bang for your buck. as for whether it's worth it over competitors, couldn't tell ya, I can't find benchmarks for the 2026 model. until reviewers can get their hands on it and test it, nobody can know.

the CPU supports 9600mt/s officially, but I'm guessing it can only do so in gear 4 (4:1 ratio- for every 4 clock cycles that the ram does, the memory controller on the CPU does one. generally, the higher that ratio goes, the higher you can push ram speed, but the worse the performance gets). using soldered ram like the new models will also significantly helps with ram speed, as soldered ram can have much better signal integrity. it's likely Hynix C or B die (whichever their new shiny sodimm die is, I don't remember) which is able to push crazy speeds. the ram shortage isn't preventing the creation of ram, there's still supply and demand, it's just that manufacturing capacity for ram is being switched to HBM memory modules for AI data center GPUs.

the big disadvantage with soldered ram is that it's not upgradable or removable. if you want more down the line or some of your ram fails, you either have to learn to solder, get it repaired (expensive), or have to buy a new device

yes that is a piont but if this ram is acc good and the cpu with this can make it a lil faster that will be worth it but who am i kidding the zephrus g14,16 and other laptops have this sodered ram they are fast there is a differnce but at least they like give the option of upgradeable ssds

with laptops, the big decider honestly is how they handle heat

since the biggest bottleneck in a laptop is cooling

if a laptop can sustain higher power draw for longer than competitors, it's gonna be faster

fast ram is good and all, but marginally faster ram won't make up for a CPU constantly clocking itself 500mhz lower because it can't cool itself as well as a competitors laptop can

i mean sondered ram is also a bissness bc if i want ram they pay more and the decetion is when u my it like macbooks i have a macbook with 24gb ram why didnt i pick the 16 bc i needed more and if i need more then gotto buy a new unit this is bissness at the end of the day while providing servises they waht to take the most money they can while giving the quality of things

I think the best of both worlds is having soldered + an expansion slot if you want it (with the caveat that using that expansion slot will downclock the soldered ram significantly)

having slower ram is definitely a lot better than running out of ram
