Well don't get the normal Basilisk. I had a Basilisk Ultimate for a long time, the sickest lighting out there. Its a little hefty though, so I swapped to the Basilisk Mobile. Mostly due to more buttons than the cobra and normal Basilisk and it's Bluetooth so can use it for phone, PC, whatever

Hello everyone, as of today, I am the owner of a Basilisk V3 Pro 35K (my beloved Roccat Leadr has left me) and the Mouse Dock Pro. The mouse and mouse dock are connected, and Razer Synapse4 (and Chroma, of course) are installed. To be completely honest, I'm not really thrilled yet. Maybe I don't fully understand Synapse yet. I play Star Citizen and can't use the left and right sides (of the scroll wheel) (for example, as buttons 6 & 7). I also can't use the button for sensitivity control (for example, as 8) and the button for changing scroll mode (for example, as 9). Furthermore, I don't understand why the Basilisk doesn't appear in Windows under Devices and Printers. Only the Razer Mouse Dock Pro is shown there. Since the Basilisk is not listed there, Windows does not recognize it as a gaming controller. It would be great if someone familiar with this could help me with some tips. Thanks in advance!

About the buttons, you may customize them in Razer Synapse. About the mouse being not recognized, I'd say it's because it connects to the Dock and the Dock to the PC, the mouse is not listed because it's controlled by the Dock but I'm not completely sure tho.

Even after an intensive search, I can only find options for mouse buttons that are already available for basic functions
Right-click, mouse wheel click, scroll up, scroll down, scroll left again, scroll right again, sensitivity control, mouse button 4, mouse button 5, scroll mode change, sensitivity levels + and scroll up profile. So, at most, I can move the existing basic functions from one button to another. Unfortunately, that doesn't help, as I would actually like to use more than 5 buttons (which Star Citizen recognizes). Apparently, I didn't pay enough attention when I bought it.

So I plugged in my Basilisk Ultimate into Synapse 4 and had a firmware update installed, now the wave lighting is completely different now, it isnt what is displayed on the box regarding the side leds. I have tried Chroma Advanced Effects and the Default effects in Synapse, same result. Before on Synapse 3 the Wave was automatic as I assume the pattern was programmed for the Ultimate, now it looks pretty bland and lame. I made a thread on the Razer Support page but it was deleted by someone after 9 views. Not sure why maybe they will fix it, but does anyone here have any idea what's going on? And perhaps why the lighting effect was changed? Is it a Synapse 4 bug? Something overlooked?

Naturally Razer headsets are friendly with convertors, the only inconvenience it can cause it's that you can't use apps.

Nah, the apps it's not neccesary. I use the Razer Hammerhead Hyperspeed and they have an app for Equalizer, RGB and ANC, but I can use them without the app.

For the Eq you can use any app on the Apple Store.

But you can also use them without any app and just plug & enjoy.

i booted up my pc

it was working like a dream

i set my settings and everything and it was amazing

until i tried using the space bar

and what i found that it double or triple clicks sometimes from me just doing one input and release

They can now add a few extra feature into EGPU that helps get the EGPU better ratings but must label it as a Nvidia version or intel version before the EGPU were like open source setups well just limited features

They started add version with intel gpu feature then lots request for Nvidia version a few billion and lots of paperwork got Nvidia approved as well.

So hopefully we see Nvidia EGPU one day in more equipment.

Yes I was confused about it as well. But I only know about internal Nvidia gpu. Im get a little confused myself but yes they did do it before in ddr2 that probably correct they had limited access for a time limited it definitely work better then all the othe internal gpu setups. So hopefully it works great again. I definitely buy a laptop with 50 series pcie5 internal GPU setup.

idk what it is, dead ram is the easiest to identify, so I was kind of hoping it would be that.

without being able to actually get picture, it could be motherboard, cpu, ram, or GPU. if you have a different GPU that you know works, try using it just for now for testing purposes.

if you have different ddr4 ram that you know works, try it just for now for testing purposes.

you can try reseating the CPU (take it out, put it back in again. be EXTREMELY careful if you try this, the CPU cooler you're using tends to pull the CPU with it when you remove it if you aren't careful. look up videos on YouTube on how to remove a CPU cooler from an am4 system. if you try this, don't rush it.) while the CPU is out anyway (if you try this), inspect the CPU and the motherboard CPU socket for any damage or debris.

Today I received a new Basilisk V3 mouse. But somehow it wasn’t recognized by my Synapse 3 software that I had installed for my Tartarus V3.

So, without giving it too much thought I upgraded to Synapse 4.

Which send me straight to hell.

Not only am I unable to assign any keys to my new mouse but it also completely screwed up all my Tartarus macros and configurations.

And there is no way that I can reproduce the functionality I had in my Tartarus with Synapse 4.

Not only is this newly aquired mouse useless this way but it also comletely destroyed a product I have been using for many years.

And of course there is no way to revert back to Synapse 3.

So thanks but no thanks Razer!!!!

I will return the mouse and I will never ever buy a Razer product again.

Turns out nothing was lost.
Went to Settings → Profile Migration in Synapse 4 and migrate from Synapse 3.
All profiles, keybinds, and macros came back instantly.

Cloud import isn’t live yet, so it was confusing as hell at first...but after i ran the migration, all is good! Thx for telling me b4 I updated Razer 😜

I think they are related to Razer peripheral's RGB.

I'd leave them, but if you want to completely remove them you can force an uninstall, if they appear again after the removal or something with the keyboard fails, it's something important for the keyboard's RGB.
