okay, so basically i want to run the analog wasd. when i use it in seige it works just fine, but the game thinks i'm using controller and doesn't allow me to use other binds or my mouse while the analog wasd is active

I'd say it's not an issue, it's because it used a Windows feature to make it work and prevent any issues with the games. On the device manager it will appear as an Xbox 360 Controller, I suppose they tried to integrate this function to make the game easier to recognise the joystick and use it.

But when you use it, the game switches the config and controls to a physical controller and when you try to press a key, the game confuses and doesn't know what to do. This issue happens only in one game? Or multiple ones.

reading the article, the leaked system has 6 cores

and a stronger GPU

building a system yourself would still of course be better value

but you lose the portability

also having 8 cores helps with a lot more than just loading games

and game loading times have severe diminishing returns with extreme high speed drives

which is why most systems are still using PCIe 4 drives, because PCIe 5 speeds don't benefit gamers

We started testing system with 16 for a few and other started with 8 cores. But since it was more power then need we drop down to 6 cores

Test with all new game engine they only need 6 core to run the rest are only used during loading.

SSD speeds really don't affect fps so long as they're fast enough, even low end PCIe 3 drives are plenty to get smooth frames. and ram has severe diminishing returns with speed, especially on new Ryzen stuff. great CPUs, bad memory controller. having MORE ram only matters if you're actually using all of the ram you have.

and that's for games that actually require SSDs like starfield and cyberpunk

It's a Intel gold edition 6 GHz unlocked. Or 5.8 Ghz i not 100% sure. Also the new harddrives and ram sticks are very similar. But online needs extra power for network processing

no. SSDs and ram are also not similar. ram is significantly faster, but volatile. SSDs are non-volatile. they both store something, but calling them the same thing is just straight up wrong, they don't fulfill the same roles in the system.

online doesn't really need much more for network processing, almost all of the processing is done server side. most online games, especially competitive ones, are designed to be performant. requiring a crazy CPU to get reasonable ping would be daft. that's just not true.

and what CPU? 13900ks and 14900ks both advertise over 6ghz, but that's only on a max of 2 cores, and they're both 24 core chips with 8 p cores.

anyway I was gonna say that 7+ ghz on a modern Intel CPU would be very very high, especially without sub zero cooling.

usually liquid nitrogen or helium is needed to start getting that high

what are you actually using the system for? more ram doesn't help at all if you're not actually using all of it. think of it like a bucket. if you have a 5 gallon bucket, and are only filling it with 3 gallons of water, a 10 gallon bucket won't help you at all.

a stronger GPU would be better for actual performance, so depending on what you're actually doing the 5090 model should be better.

that being said both are overpriced options.

I'm having an issue with my Razer Blackshark V2X headset. When I use it directly via the 3.5mm jack (audio + microphone combo), everything works fine and the microphone sound is clean.

However, as soon as I plug the headset into the included jack splitter (microphone/headphone splitter), I get a constant background noise from the microphone. The sound picked up becomes quite unpleasant, like hissing or static.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is it related to the quality of the splitter, the PC's microphone jack, or a bad configuration? If you have a solution (software settings, better splitter, USB sound card, etc.), I'd love to hear it.

When I change it to another shade of orange for a split second I can see the orange but it's going back right away to yellow. Hey everyone. I bought a Razer Barracuda X headset (the model w/o bleutooth) almost 3 years ago. The first 2 years everything worked without a problem but the last couple months it started acting up. At first the charge indicator wasn't doing its thing - It's supposed to go solid green when the headset is fully charged but it never was, it was still blinking no matter how long i kept it plugged in. Then the battery life stated getting gradually worse week by week. On one charge it used to work for 20+ hours and fast forward to now - it barely holds 5 hours. Has anyone else had similar experience? Is there anything I can do now to, i don't know, fix it? Is 2 years just the 'life span' of those headphones or what's up?

i know the leaks are like a month old at this point, but Intel's nova lake looks super promising and very interesting

Razer synapse headphones + microphone problem.

Hi, I have a problem. I can’t click on "default" for my headphones in Razer Synapse, and I don’t hear any sound in the headphones in the Windows sound settings. I mean in the sound settings where you select Razer Game, Razer Headphones, etc. – there are about 3 Razer options there, but only one works, and the problem is that the microphone doesn’t respond at all.

This started happening after Discord reset my settings, and now I don’t see “default” in Discord either.

Is there anything I can do about this, or should I just buy new headphones? These are already 6 years old, same as my PC. I also sometimes get Windows 10 BSOD (Kernel Blue Screen).

I already uninstalled the drivers, the Razer software, and reset the sound and microphone settings, but it’s still not working. Is it possible that my microphone has died?
Would a clean Windows installation made with Rufus help? I honestly don’t know what else to do, that’s why I’m writing here.

It is more like Spatial Audio similar to basic Dolby Atmos, a speaker configuration used in the past headset called Tiamat v2. This is why I believe time to revive Tiamat as the flagship headset with pro hi-fi grade positioning and complete Hi-Res audio certification, 3-pin XLR and 6.35 balance port. The mic would be pro grade as well using 48V phantom power delivery

The Razer Kraken V4 Pro firmware updater says no updates are required. I'm on the latest version. The connection is equally poor on the right side, both via cable and Bluetooth. actually are the SATA ports dead, or is your power supply not supplying your drives with power? if they're not getting power, then yes, power supply is the issue. if the actual SATA ports on the motherboard are dead, then it's likely the sata controller on the motherboard.

do you mean removable cables? if you're paying over $100 for a pair of headphones and it doesn't have a removable cable, you got scammed tbh. every high end pair of headphones worth a damn that I've seen has a removable cable.

as for magnetic ear pads, yeah, it's not common, but it should be. it'd be pretty cheap to add. getting ear pads off is pretty easy, getting them back on often isn't. a lot of headphones aren't designed with replacing the ear cups in mind. an easily replaceable part is always a win, and it would allow for better customization. there's some materials that I like far more than others.

cables and ear pads tend to wear out before anything else in my experience

besides the style of ear pad that something like the dt990 uses, but I find those to not be very breathable and therefore not as comfortable.
