I'm running a 7600x with a peerless assassin (one gen older) and a 12700k with a phantom spirit (it's like the peerless assassin, just has an extra heat pipe). both are phenomenal coolers. under normal operation, both keep the respective CPUs cool, and I don't have any thermal throttling on my 12700k even when benchmarking.

I'm assuming the 9600x works the same as the 7600x in the regard that it will boost as high as it can with as much power as it can until it either hits its max frequency or starts to overheat, or a combo of the two- basically it won't back off even if it's hitting 95c (edit: it will of course back off if it's actually thermal throttling, what I'm meaning is that it will not target a lower temperature and will push until it hits 95c in heavy all core benchmarks). I was seeing my 7600x hit 95c in extremely heavy benchmarks (specifically in y cruncher), but it was holding 5.2ghz all core, so it wasn't actually thermal throttling. if you do benchmarking, it will still run hot while benchmarking, but I never saw the 7600x pass 65c while gaming with a peerless assassin.

both are fairly quiet, and if you're unhappy with how loud it gets, you can always change the fan curve so it targets lower speeds at certain temperatures.

TLDR: yes, it's a great cooler, I highly recommend it. if the phantom spirit is either the same or only a few bucks more, I'd go for it, why not.

Hey folks, I have a long lasting issue with the Viper ultimate. It is unfortunately out of its warranty now, so I am resorting to getting community help.

It stopped working some months ago. After a while, I disassembled it, cleaned up the inside and it started working again, but only wired. The wireless does not work, I have tried everything the razer client support says and yet it does nothing.

Has anyone come across this? I searched Reddit and lots of people have a similar issue

Because it seems that Razer dongles are marked to their specific model and won't work with others for old models like VU.

Yup, the Hyperspeed dongle 100% won't work.

The last time when I searched for a replacement dongle for my Razer headset was an absolute pain in the ass because:

1. Razer wouldn't sell it if you didn't complain to them about wanting to buy it.
2. Replacement dongles for Razer are scarce for some reasons. This applies to all of their peripherals, not just mouses.
3. The dongles that you would find on eBay 99% of the time there will be a ridiculous markups.

Hello, this might be a little long but I've been trying to find a solution for my Viper v2 pro for a while, but had no success and haven't been able to fix it with support, my mouse works perfectly fine with its original dongle but I've been wanting to use it with the hyperpolling (4k hz dongle) but once I pair it up is where problems start happening. Usually windows do not recognize the USB any time I plugged it in, but sometimes it does recognize it but then randomly disconnects, sometimes it can be for a mini second, sometimes it is for minutes, sometimes I don't get to get it working at all so I have to plug it straight to the mouse or the original dongle. I've already done RMA for the dongle and also changed my motherboard, cpu and ram and I still run into the same problem, I've tried reinstalling sypnapse multiple times, I've tried not using sypnapse at all, I've tried suspending the sleep mode in the USB ports in the device manager, I just can't find a fix for this at all, not even in Internet so that's why I am trying to find among the community to see if I can get a fix for it, I'd really appreciate it

Hi, I have an issue with my Razer Seiren V3 Chroma. I emailed the team but no one responded back.

Any effects I applied doesn't work. Did all basic TS, uninstall/reinstall Synapse and Chroma, unplug/replug. I was wondering if someone is experiencing the issue. This is faily new. Around 3 weeks. It was working days ago. My viper ultimate seems to be working with any effects I do.

the only thing that razer makes that's actually worth the price is mice, and even that's debatable

well it still only has one CCD with the extra cache, so it's not worth it for gaming. 99% of games refuse to leverage more than 8 cores, 9800x3d is still the gaming king.

for productivity, there's still much better options than the 9950x3d, so it's kind of in a weird spot. if you do a mix of gaming and productivity, it's probably a good chip for you.

We're getting a lot of games that are made in UE5.

And UE5 is both GPU and CPU intensive.

Even though GPU primarily takes a lot of hits due to GI running in real time, you still need CPU to run physics simulation and UE5 is definitely capable of pushing that to the limit. But we haven't seen any games that actually do it.

from my understanding it doesn't really care about more cores though, it's a weird edge case. it runs poorly even on a 14900k, although a 14900k also only has 8 p cores. it's a very oddly optimized game, it has a CPU bottleneck with pretty much any chip from what I've seen, but I'm having trouble finding benchmarks. a 9950x3d really shouldn't help because it should only run on the CCD with the extra cache.

ye that's what I got. I like them, although the issue I've found with my pair is that the little foam circle in the hole behind the filter will get clogged

so you have to take it out to clean every few months or one side will be significantly quieter

Can anyone help me out. When i move my mouse a couple inches he just freezes for a couple seconds and starts working again, but he does the same thing over an over again. Ive checked razer synapse and what i see that its trying to connect but it just wont. Does anyone know the reason or can help. Maybe we can get in a call and i can show you? i've tried a whole bunch of stuff like updating the mouse or synapes, ive deleted everything and downloaded it again doesnt work. can anyone help?

Hello, I bought Blackshark v2 X and I have a problem with configuring it. When Im trying to enable 7.1 sound, in Widows 11 test I can hear only 2 speakers. Left and right - what is the problem ?

And here in surround sound I can't enable this 7.1 device which is visible in windows, but dont working.

a headphone has (usually) 2 drivers

1 left side and one right side

how can 2 drivers have 7.1? when 7.1 stands for a 7 speaker system + Subwoofer

so this 7.1 is a software feature that applies some effects

and yeah. it just sounds bad and doesnt help a bit

also 7.1 is the wrong term here. what this "7.1" does is just applying effect to create an Binaural effect

but Binaural is not equal to 7.1 (completly different stuff)

This is a Project im working on and for a easy test i just applied an effect that creates a virtual room. This song goes around your head (only horizontal) and changes the distance to the middle (the virtual head)

and you can clearly hear it go around the head without "7.1"

In razer guide I saw it is necessary to set 7.1 surround sound ( razer driver, not windows 7.1). I installed manually this driver but I cant hear nothing. Maybe is it becouse I didnt installed synapse?

Yes I dont need 7.1 but if I will not use surround sound app I will not need razer , headphones for 10$ will do the same. Im not talking about real 7.1 but only 7.1 razer app which emulate 7.1 sound for headphones
