I tried to give you some ideas earlier. it got deleted cause apparantly the ai bot shouldn't be taking over anyone's job. Razer's website has a list of things to do to clean their mice. Do a google search. You can also go buy some canned air, i typically keep 5 around, follow the instructions on the can to a T and put it deep into the scroll wheel, from the side, and see if you can blow whatever's in there out. Last resort could be finding a youtube video on how to take that paticular model apart and clean it good. Just make sure you feel comfortable doing it first.

If synapse isn't updating, go get the driver manually from razer site. @plush mason

8k dongle for what? Are you connecting it to something other than a pc? Some devices can't use those mice. Take for instance ps5.

Hey guys, sorry if this is the wrong channel lmk and I will move it. Today I was gifted a Razer BlackShark V2 Pro (2023) from my partner. the audio on it is really good but I for some reason cannot get the mic working. I have been in contact with Razer support and after a discussion they have gone away to think of ideas. Just wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem and if they would know of a solution? I have been sitting trying to figure it out for the past 4+ hours and still no idea. A bit of info on what I have done so far:

1. I have uninstalled and reinstalled synapse and even tried the new beta version (it work worse then version 3). It is recognised in synapse and lets me adjust everything but the mic wont work (I can hear myself if I turn on the "Mic Monotone (Sidetone)" to 100% but I cannot hear myself using the mic preview in app
2. My PC settings is registering the headset as the sound output and input. It is also set as connected in the recording properties
3. I have updated all the firmware, then uninstalled all the firmware and updated it again
4. Razer support suggested I look at Realtek Audio Console and it is not showing up in there (I don't even have a recording devices section, this could be it is an old version of the software?)

If you replaced it with a new one it is not Razer's fault. It is just that you're now revealed about an issue that your computer is having and it needs to be addressed.

My suggestion is to check for every single driver in your PC to see if all of them are up to date or not. It's most likely the issue if the microphone is not working correctly.

The issue I’m having is as follows:
As soon as I get into a call on Discord, the volume in my Spotify lowers and makes it sound like the game audio (in this case Final Fantasy XIV) is coming through a filter as well as being lowered. It’s like I’m listening to it through water and it’s horrible.
When I’m not in a call in Discord, there’s no issues.
The headset also fails to show in Razer Synapse as an option, only my mouse (Razer Viper Ultimate) shows as an option.

I feel like I’ve tried everything at this point. I’ve tried the following:

1. Uninstalling and reinstalling the Bluetooth driver.
   1a. I use a Bluetooth 4.0. I understand this shouldn’t make a difference.
2. Uninstalling and reinstalling the headset driver from device manager.
3. Uninstalling and reinstalling Synapse (The headset doesn’t show as an option).
   3a. No there’s no option for Razer Stereo in my devices so this isn’t the issue with Synapse.
4. Checking the input and output devices in Windows 11.
5. Checking the input and output devices in Discord.
6. I’ve checked for updates on the drivers to make sure everything is up to date on the headset, bluetooth and Synapse.
7. I’ve tried using the headset on my phone, using Discord and Spotify on it, and there’s no issues with audio from my phone with the headset. The music volume from Spotify isn’t lowered and Discord is clear.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I’ve noticed others are also having this issue. Most have found fixes with the issue being around Razer Stereo, but I don’t have that option. I’m using Windows 11 as well and I’m on a desktop PC, not a laptop.

Are you using wireless headset?

The drop in sound quality when accessing voice chat should be expected not on just Razer but all other wireless bluetooth headsets though.

About Synapse though. Maybe try to reinstall Synapse to see if it recognizes your Kraken or not.

It should show up in Synapse as the manual says so on the Razer website.

If it still doesn't show up, contact Razer support.

Maybe it's a defective unit.

It's just that Bluetooth is a really wonky codec.

You cannot have both good sound quality and low latency on one channel and the other channel for voice calls at the same time. It's just the way it is.

I decide to do some simple OC recently cause my motherboard just release a new BIOS and the old one kinda not great with OC . I have a 9900k and use XTU to OC . After testing for a week , my CPU seems to runs at stable 5ghz with no additional voltage even under intense gaming load for long session . I have a specific issue just with this headset and APEX legends

When i set my audio output to my Barracuda headset and My voice input to any other option. The audio works perfectly.

the problem is, when i have both Audio Output and Voice input as my barracuda the sound becomes tinny and quiet

That's its nature.

The headset doesn't have 2 way channel.

So basically, the most ideal situation for a headset is to have 2 channels, one for comms and one for audio.

Barracuda does not have this, so they split out 1 single channel for both.

Lower bandwidth

And with build quality both Razer and Legion are good, there's no difference in terms of build quality between a Razer and Legion.

The only issue with Razer is their QC. Razer laptops are reported to have their batteries swollen after 1-2 year of using it.

Tested arround a bit with the mic. it seems to not use the mic settings when i click on mic preview. once i change a setting even if its just by 1 it works again. i havent found out if its just for the preview or also for others hearing me. someone knows about this problem and knows how to fix?

Basically the external works in normal mode but not in safe mode with network on, this just happened after a software update or after playing Diablo 4

and after installing the THX app, my audio quaility is so trash

Hey guys I had my razer orchi v2 for abt a year and a half and I recently have this issue where the left click double or triple clicks when I hold it down while the right side doesn't do that

Can I contact razer support for assistance like a replacement? or is this out of warranty? I just had the standard limited warranty.

q guys, I have such a problem with razer kitty edition headphones with a wire, synapse 3.0 is installed, the headphones worked at a volume of 80- if higher, they turned off for a couple of seconds with a characteristic electric sound, now they generally work only at a volume of 65-68 if you do more, they turn off again for seconds how to get out of this vicious circle
