Hello all, I am planning on getting razer deathadder v2 pro but I have some questions that I quite cant research. First of all, does the mouse take longer to charge while you are using it? Can it take batteries or is it only charging via a wire? Does it have a good response/click time for gaming using the 2.4GHz (USB)? Can you charge the mouse while your computer is of f, do you get a wire in the box and finally where do you connect the wire that goes from the mouse to the pc or the 2.4 GHz USB you use to play wirelessly? Sorry if the questions are a bit idiotic or easy to reaserch but I cant find answers. Thanks 🙏

It it does a bit longer to charge while using it but not by any meaningful difference. It doesn't take batteries. It can either charge through the wire or if you have the dock then through the dock. There is no difference in the speed between wireless and wired. as for charging while your pc is off depends on your motherboard some ports support that while others don't. Yes you get a wire in the box it connects to the front of the mouse kinda tucked underneath it.

If you're getting a wireless mouse from a reputable brand there is zero difference between wired and wireless

Bluetooth is the only exception

It's slower than wired

Gaming mice usually aren't bluetooth though for latency reasons you'll mainly see that in office mice

If you're someone who's into that G502 style shape then there's nothing wrong with sticking to it, if anything refresh it with new glides imo

They flash red iirc but the battery tends to last so long I never notice

Basilisk v3's also have a tendency for scroll wheel issues so watch out for that on the next one

Hmm looks weird, I have the same mouse (razer basilisk) and never had this issue. The LMB shouldnt take much force or feel like you are not actually clicking the button. If you have a receipt return it.

It may could be that the wire is loose or you could try uninstalling/reinstalling the synapse application.

Try uninstalling if you have it and see that way, if not reinstall it and see again.

hi all Im looking for some tips.
Ive got a Razer ripsaw with the PS5, Ive got picture but no sound in OBS. When I swap PS5 sound output to HDMI TV I lose the sound in my headset. Can't seem to get both headset and stream sound at the same time.
I have seen some stuff for wireless headsets, but I have a wired headset. I have a chatlink cable from PC to headset to controller. The same setup I have with xbox and works fine.
Any tips how to fix this and get both sounds working together?

this is how it looks like when you try to record 4k with nvenc encoder thru obs when your gpu cant handle the game and recording at the same time

and if you try to use your cpu instead it will just come out all laggy and unusable even if the game runs fine

but yeah this is the main reason people would look for a dual pc setup just to eliminate the potential issues of your pc not being powerful enough to run the game and recording at the same time

tbh i could probably tweak obs to record 4k at an okay quality, but i can just use nvidia shadowplay and it tends to record 4k pretty well without much loss in visual quality

Would strongly suggest not trying to take the keycaps off yourself there's a high risk of damage unlike a regular keyboard

The LED's will also be baked onto the keyboard pcb underneath so changing the keycaps only won't do anything, you'd need a whole new shell and keyboard pcb

When I join a party chat with friends on PS5, they’re saying I sound terrible through the mic. Crackling voice, very low audio quality.

I then plugged in my Arctis 7Ps and it was like night and day. The Arctis mic sounds studio quality even though party chat.

I really like the Kairas - so does anyone have any advice?

I found that it seems it is not for pc gamers but phone gamers only, this needs to be the headline of the description as this is seismically misleading for PC gamers.

In a support post I read that "what pc headphone has ANC?" as a reason for why it is clearly a mobile only. Well (the large majority hear gaming mode and think PC) probably a person that wants a single pair of headphones that are functional for phone and then gaming on a real platform. (I mean who the hell is audio latency worried unless it is a FPS and again who the F is playing FPS on mobile?)
So a company for gamers by gamers thinks that the need for low latency sound is for mobile and not PC?!?
I think the delusion comes from the idea that a person uses one set of headphones per device. Yeah if so, then why not spend 1/5 of the price and buy 3 wired headphones for each device.
I specifically was interested in finding a solution to cables, but I am not interested in the minimum 150-300ms lag when playing halo (gaming mode unable to be activated on a pc). I am not an audiophile but I notice it to the point of distraction.

Also I would like to express my significant displeasure with the feedback and support apparatus that was provided by Razer. I was not hyperbolic in that I attempted to find solutions and to provide feedback for multiple hrs. In fact In my time zone I started having issues at 2100 and it is now the next day 0545.
I must admit I became angry. This is not my usual character and I do regret it.

Hey, so I have a razor viper mini and until recently it started to randomly disconnect on and off, and sometimes I'm not able to move the cursor despite the mouse still being lit up. Now I restarted the pc and the mouse turned on but I can't move the cursor and if I disconnect and reconnect the mouse it no longer lights up.
Don't think this is an issue with my computer as the same thing happened on another one of my laptop
The only thing I tried was uninstalling razor synapse but that did not work
Any help?

Razer has horrible tech support. I don't know where they find these people.

It could be a faulty mouse if you've uninstalled synapse and it still happens. I've found synapse seems to make some of the razer mice wonky. I've uninstalled it on my desktop as a result. I use OpenRGB for my lighting.

Also, I highly recommend anyone here to buy their razer gear through amazon. They're much easier to return and get replacements.

Also switch to 32gb of silicon power RAM at that budget size imo

it looks like a 4 phase vrm board. It's a budget board and it'll get a bit hot but a 5600/5600X draw the same amount of power regardless so you should be fine especially if you're using the stock cooler (It pushes air down over the VRM's to keep them cool) so it'll work it just won't be completely ideal

3200G and 5600/5600X all are 65W CPU's @upper hill

but I wouldn't go higher than that, consider your next upgrade to a good B550 after that

I'm looking for some help with a new HDD.
Maybe I'm overcomplicating things but I'm looking for an HDD to store 1440p video recordings (and to access for editing later). They are generally 40GB per vid roughly so my current 2TB Seagate barracuda filled up decently fast.
Now I don't think I have the money to build up a whole nas/server unless that's a lot cheaper than I think they are, so I just want one to add to my pc (it has like 5 more free bays).
Now I don't know much about HDDs and whether CMR or SMR matters in my case. Are speeds lower than 7200rpm fine as well? Is cache important? Are there things or brands I should absolutely avoid? Do you have a better and/or perhaps cheaper solution?
I don't have an exact budget, but the absolute max would be 200 euros (Netherlands / Germany stores). Though if there's no reason to spend that much, I would rather budget it more to like 100 euros. If necessary I can also just upgrade every couple of months when it starts to fill. However, if it's a dumb idea, then I can also perhaps try to save more money and just get a simple extra 2TB drive to last me for a couple of months.

But truth be told relatively cheap HDD's like the regular barracuda are fine for the normal person

Unless this is like a daily thing where you're scrubbing and editing a lot of 1440p video I wouldn't worry too much about it

Otherwise, I would actually consider a decent SSD like a gen 3 nvme (sk hynix p31?), Record to that, edit on that nvme, then shift it all over to the HDD when you're done

That way you get the good speed of an nvme and you can use a relatively affordable HDD to store it when it's all done

Say like a 1TB/512GB P31 Hynix or if you want cheaper, a Silicon Power A60 nvme/Team MP33 nvme, then a $50 Seagate Barracuda 2TB to store it all later

That is if the pc has a second nvme slot

If not you could use a crucial MX500 with a seagate barracuda to store it when you're done

Cos editing on a HDD you're gonna notice the speed difference going to a good ssd

As far as I know, and that's not super far, certain headsets had THX Spatial built in (the Razer Kraken Tournament Edition, for example), and the Spatial Audio I believe is the software that emulates it?
