Just to discard is something with the comms or with Overwatch & the headset.

Overwatch is running and is the current window that is in focus.
Overwatch VC is on.

When I alt tab, the issue goes away, but when I alt tab back in, Overwatch scrambles the eq and it stays shit until I disconnect from in-game VC

Not really, I think.
There are options to adjust the sound profile, including but not only the options "Studio Reference", "Night Mode", "Home Mix" and "Headphones". I've personally used the Studio reference profile but the Night Mode profile feels louder while still being clean

There is no proper EQ with knobs though.

Well I try them I think razer gives you a much better setup they are a lot more money I'm not sure the $250 extra just a headset totally worth it. But they are nice headset

But then I try $10,000 spent a week wondering why they were worth $9,500 more. I seen a few speaker tower in that range definitely worth some money they were very high audio over long distance but headset does not need that feature
